I am always blown away with how amazing the staff is at this location. Always so nice and helpful when the lines get long. They gave me a free meal today which was even better! Tasted great with guac and chips. Nothing beats *free*

The line here is ridiculous. This location is run by a bunch of loser college students. However, there are a couple older staff members who do a good job. AM I THEONLYPERSONINTHISWORLDWHOKNOWSHOWTOWORKEFFICIENTLY? Like your goal is to make the line move fucking quickly. So why don’t you focus on that. GOGOGO. That’s how your mind should work when working a crowded lunch rush. It’s not that hard. FUCK

It’s corporate and the same everywhere but damn, it’s good and better than most other ‘fast foods.’ This location isn’t as packed as the one downtown SLO and is close to the freeway so I go here when I’m in a hurry. Tip: get a bowl and ask for tortilla on the side. You can easily stretch that into two delicious meals!

It is a Chipotle. Pros: + Friendly employees + Food is fresh + Place is clean Cons: — This place is always packed. — Lines can stretch out the door, expect 15 minute delays before you can place your order. Not much more to say other than come here during off-peak hours if you want to eat quickly and get out.

I love Chipotle, and this Chipotle keeps me coming back. I always receive more(portion-wise) in this location than the one downtown. The food seems fresh and always tastes great, plus the staff always seem to be friendly and kind.

This location is my least favorite. They barely put enough on your bowls… I’m not gonna spend my money on a place that wants to cheat me. I am also annoyed at how the employees treat each other… Over all the downtown location is my personal reference from now on.

Chipotle is life blood. How dare these people down vote it. This chipotle is a million times better than the down town slo location and gives you really good portions. Also the salsa maker is here knows what they are doing unlike some locations I’ve been.

When Chipotle comes up as a place to go get something to eat, these days it getting replaced by another suggestion because this Chipotle location is not good. 15 – 20 minutes standing in line is the norm. Unlike other Chipotle’s, this place doesn’t seem to care about getting people served. And when you’re standing in line for so long EVERYTIME, you start noticing how inefficient the employees are. Just when I feel I’ve had it with Chipotle, I’ll visit the downtown location or another Chipotle in another area and get good service. Actually, I can’t remember a Chipotle(other than this location) that I didn’t have a good experience at. Too bad the downtown SLO location is a pain to go to unless you want to deal with downtown parking. What is it with this location?

Friendly staff and a nice bright location. My bf and I stopped here before heading to the beach. The restaurant is like any other Chipotle, the layouts are similar but with an outdoor seating area. We got the chicken and sofritas bowl to share with brown rice and guac. They are a little bit more stingy here when it comes down to the chicken and sofritas. They were unfortunately out of carnitas due to the supplier having modified meat. :(The bowl was the same as any other Chipotle we’ve had before so no complaints.

Don’t know if everyone here is new and training right now… I don’t know where their trainers were. But there should have been someone up front who knows what they are doing. Everyone here who helped me was clueless. Blank stares on their faces like deer In headlights. I’m sorry, but the line was not running efficiently because no one knew how to wrap the burritos. really? Then, the only guy that could do it stopped to start helping people at the beginning of the line. How is that going to help the line move faster if nobody is wrapping burritos??? They are just sitting there bro. Other store’s lines work like clockwork. This was ridiculous.

Bomb food. Fun service. Kept clean I’m happy! I got the burrito bowl with white rice and chicken with mild salsa. Always get a side of chips and salsa! We got there when it opened so everything was fresh :)!

I love the barbacoa. I come here anytime I find myself in SLO. It’s the one chain that I wish we had in the 5 cities. I like being able to have Cali-Mex grain/dairy free. And when I want to cheat: quesa-rito with everything. I can be confident that my food is treated humanely before, and their non-GMO stance needs to be taken by more companies.

The last two times my husband and I went there, it was about twenty minutes before closing. They ran out of chicken and didn’t want to fry up anymore. My husband is very simple in his food tastes, and easy to please. All he gets is cheese and chicken on his tacos. We waited in that long line just to find out they have no chicken. They try to serve him up what they had left, which was dry chicken, a lot less than we usually get when we go there. The tacos were literally 50% smaller. My husband and I walked out and went somewhere else. We might still try the Chipotle downtown, which is supposedly better, but it’ll be awhile. If they try to skimp us again, we’ll just walk out and go next door to The Habit. The Madonna Chipotle has skimped more and more each time.

This location is the worst chipotle, and possibly worst Mexican(ish) location I’ve ever been to more than once. I’ve seen them do gross things, it’s disorganized, inconsistent and has a negative atmosphere. It’s really hard to understand because chipotle is amazing in general and there is a downtown chipotle location that is as great as you’d expect.

Just okay. Stopped at this location while we were on our way back to So Cal since it was conveniently located off of the 101 freeway. The restaurant was very busy after 1:00 pm, when I thought it might be slowing down after the lunch rush(definitely not the case). The line moved quickly. The servers were not very attentive and I had a hard time getting their attention when I needed to change my order. They also just slopped the food in the bowl and it seemed like they would rather be anywhere but there. Most of the tables were clean. The drink area was a mess and water was spilled on the floor. The food was okay. It tasted fine. The beef was a little fatty. The bathroom area was a disaster. As I walked up to use the bathroom, I noticed water seeping out from under the doors. There were no signs placed to alert the customers that the bathrooms were out of order, but I definitely was not going to check it out. Parking was a bit of a nightmare. The lot right in front of the store is shared with the other restaurants there and was packed. You had to go out to the other lot which was a bit of a walk and just as crowded. I like Chipotle, just not this location. I will definitely choose a different restaurant when I am in the area. 24⁄100

I’m typically not very picky with Chipotle’s food as they’re pretty much the same everywhere(set company recipe), but it’s more of the service that the 2 stars is for. This place seems to be pretty much run by college students who are here for a part-time job. Yeah, I understand it’s a pretty informal restaurant but staff can always talk to their friends who come in later or off to the side, not in the line while there are other people waiting. I might be coming off a bit harsh but when you are working in a restaurant, you are there 100% for the job and the products; fun, friends and problems can be dealt with outside of the job or the moment when you clock out. On top of that, the mild salsa doesn’t seem so mild here as it’s more green than red(more jalapenos than tomatoes). The corn was a bit on the frozen side when served but it was ok after mixing it up with the rice to warm it up. Final Thoughts: If I can find parking, I’d go to the Chipotle downtown.

The staff is always smiling and helpful. I used to ask them to not turn the bowl on its side when they are putting it in the bag. I guess I will have to go back to that. I don’t think they realize that without rice in the bowl there is nothing to soak up the bean juice. It soaks thru the bag and in to my car seat making a mess. I realize that the cashier doesn’t know what the bowl order is but they can easily treat every bowl the same and assume it’s contents will spill out or even slide to one side of the bowl. You can see the mess in the picture I posted of the outside of the bowl. Fair warning, I will be a biatch about this because it’s a mess that shouldn’t happen in the first place.

The girls behind the counter clearly should not work in the customer service field. Clearly annoyed when I asked what the different options were(since I’d never been to a Chipotle before), they rattled off the answers so quickly that no one in my party could even understand what they had said. Luckily, my best friend was with me and had worked at a Chipotle before, and was able to answer my questions for me. The quality of the food was good, and the establishment was clean. Will I be back? Probably not to this location, as I’m not interested in dealing with snobby 18 year olds who need attitude adjustments.
