Was not impressed. Restaurant was dirty, tables uncleared, waitress delivered the wrong order to our table. This Panera Bread does not carry our kids favorite children’s menu dish, lady who took our order was rude and very short with us. Will not be returning to this location. Have visited many locations and have been very pleased with service and cleanliness. Nice location with lovely outdoor patio tables, not well executed.

Every table is dirty. When I asked the girl for a rag so I could clean off a table she said…“Oh I’ll do it” then proceeded with a dripping rag that smelled like cleaner and wiped half ass and left the chair and table soaking wet. I took napkins and wiped the excess water off. Girl at front was pushy talked real fast and wouldn’t let me talk… order…she kept interrupting me. The A/C in here is like set @28°. Food… well the soup is like gravy(clam chowder) yuck. Salad… let’s just say I will never eat at Panera anywhere ever again. Disgusting. …“apple slices” is a whole apple.

No thanks. Portions are ridiculously small. Too small, not enough adequate nutrition.

I am not sure how this restaurant can remain in business. The slowest service and lack of customer service. They have items in their menu online but when you go in to the restaurant they don’t have them ie Steak and blue cheese chopped salad. They are always out of pumpkin muffing tops. I placed my order at 8:04 pm and was please that nobody was there in front of me. My order for one sandwich took 25 minutes to prepare. I have placed my order in advance to avoid the wait but even then I had to wait.

Came in on a Sunday afternoon. Line was out the door. I was surprised when I finally saw 1, that’s right ONE person taking orders. I literally watched other employees behind the registers doing other tasks and not helping out. Panera makes great food and I’ll be back for sure, but jeez who’s in charge of this place? You must staff accordingly!

SO much better than the Arroyo Grande location! Order online and it’s so easy to pick up and be on your way without waiting in line. Big plus that they offer a «gluten conscious» menu — I usually do the pick 2 — turkey chili and half of the avocado chicken cobb salad. Just the right amount of food to keep you full til dinner, but not stuffed til you’re sick. Plus, you can sub the bread for chips or an apple.

Just tried their turkey chili today and it was SO good. Although the food here is good, service is very very slow. It took almost 30 minutes for two soups and there was only 8 or so people in the entire restaurant. I suggest maybe they hire more efficient workers. Every time i go i notice that the service seems to be getting slower and slower. If it weren’t for their delicious cinnamon crunch bagels and broccoli cheddar soup, i probably wouldnt return to this location. Service NEEDS to pick up.

This is a reheat factory. Meats are slimy soups are filled with additives. They don’t know how or who to hire. Never going back unless I’m stuck in hemet and my only other choice is Burger King.

Understaffed and kinda dirty. It’s a shame but it’s just this center. It’s an extremely busy center at all hours and the restaurants all suffer because of it

Terrible. Their $ 9 «Turkey, Avocado BLT arrived with one shriveled piece of clod bacon and a teaspoon of avocado… that’s for the«whole» sandwich. I think for the half sandwich they wave an avocado over the bread slice and call it good. Worse„ when I sent it back the person making sandwiches gave me a dirty look and behaved as if I were inconveniencing them. I got a refund and left… never to return. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place.

#savethepanini A few months ago Panera got rid of the Chicken Chipotle Panini with bacon. This is one of my favorite meals and I was devastated to learn that I would never be able to enjoy eating it again. To me this panini is a treasured childhood memory, one that I reflect on and gain a happy nostalgic feeling from every time I taste it. I’ve eaten this panini the day after prom, the afternoon of high school graduation, after my first college midterm, and countless other times. There is a petition to bring back this panini, but I am happy to say that Panera in SLO provides exceptional service by custom making the panini if you request it. Nonetheless I encourage you to sign my petition here.

I recently had the pleasure of eating a ham and swiss sandwich at this lovely establishment. It was the best gosh darn sandwich I’ve ever had, frankly. It was the perfect temperature. The lettuce was cold, crispy, and refreshing. The meat seemed to be properly refrigerated. The bread was slightly warm from the natural heat emanating from its maker’s palms. The tomatoes were juicy and didn’t soak the bread. Very appropriate distribution of moisture. In addition to the ridiculously high quality of this ham and swiss sandwich, I was able to actually watch it be made so I knew for a fact that it was made with care and love. Whoever made it is an artist, in my opinion, and deserves to be employee of the month for the months of November, December, January, February, March, April, May, June, July, August, September, October, and November. Thank you Panera, for hiring such lovely staff. 10⁄10 would dine again ;)

If you like sandwiches, salads, or soups, then you will probably like this place. Personally, I love their turkey and avocado sandwich.

I looked up several SLO restaurants for breakfasts. Many along with Margie’s, our old favorite, are charging $ 11.95 or more for a 2 egg breakfast; $ 7.95 for oatmeal? Panera seemed to have many choices for even Vegan Mr Rinky. We kept it simple. Mr Rinky got oatmeal and fruit and a Mediterranean sandwich, I got a cup of soup and a small mac n’cheese. Both came with a large hunk of bread and butter. Food was decent. Staff was very sweet and friendly. There seemed to be a lot of regulars coming in for take out. They were greeted as best friends! One gripe is that the extensive menu is posted on boards behind the counter, Being short and myopic it’s hard for me to leisurely read the menu. They didn’t have any paper menus. Maybe they could just laminate a few copies for people. I also got a bag of chocolate chip cookies($ 4.95) for the ride home. I’m pretty picky about cookies since my homemade owns are pretty darn good and I find most bakeries use way too much baking soda or baking powder. These were pretty good. I didn’t count but there could have been a dozen. I ate several and had enough to give to the son when we got home.

Looking forward to the new broth bowl with edamame… & a spouted grain roll $ 8.49 Instead fa pathetic bowl of boring broth and almost nonexistent veggies — minimal quantity of noodles & a roll like you would expect from a school cafeteria really disappointing. Also tried the chicken Chipolte Panini sandwich– The chicken didn’t even cover the bread — bacon was so minuscule as to be invisible — the bread tasted like card board and it cost over five dollars for a half sandwich. A wasted opportunity for this restaurant because the product was pathetic. We love bread, salad, sandwiches, trying new things… This was a total disappointment

Horrible food! Avoid at all costs! First time eating here and will never come back… My girlfriend and I ordered two(½) sandwiches and two(½) soups. My sandwich consisted of undercooked pink chicken and some weak excuse for vegetables, while hers was absolutely laughable having about a nickel sized amount of cheese and about the same amount of sauce. Cheddar broccoli soup was not bad, but the autumn squash soup was very sweet. Tasted as though lots of sugar had been added to it. For $ 20, raw chicken and the most pathetic excuse for a sandwich I have ever seen don’t seem like a deal. Besides the food, the place was a mess! Took us several minutes to find a clean table because so many of them were covered in dirty dishes and trash. Bad food and bad atmosphere!

The Online Rapid Pick-Up worked flawlessly. The line to order at the restaurant was 15 people long. I walked in, went to the shelf for pick up & there was my order, ready & waiting. I walked past the line of people with my bag & got envious looks! Awesome! Uh oh ! They did not toast the bread like I ordered… Bummer guess I have to stick with 4 stars.
