Said they would be open on Saturday at 5:50pm and they were closed… was trying to have a birthday dinner with my sister. Very unprofessional,

Went out to lunch yesterday here. The waitress was good but the food tasted weird. I thought I was going to hurl!

The core menu of Mexican classics is very well-executed. Room a bit dispiriting, but perhaps a bit more celebratory at dinner?

I love this location! This was my first time in, the staff was very friendly. It was sparkly clean inside. I ordered the Machaca burrito. I would of took a photo but my taste buds were telling me not to do it. «Just keep eating!» They said. LOL the Machaca bureakfast burrito has steak and egg, rice, cilantro, onion, and bell peppers maybe cheese idk it was amazing!

I had the breakfast veggie burrito and it was one of my favorite burritos ever! There is nothing strictly vegan here, so the burrito does come with cheese, but you can request for a fully vegan too. I am trying to cut the cheese(haha) from my diet but I went for it anyway. OMG. So, it is mainly rice, beans, onions, cilantro and cheese, topped with guacamole, a red salsa and sour cream(you can request no cream too). The onions and cilantro were fresh, which gave it a crunchy and super tasty touch, the mix of sauces and the natural flavors together were an excellent combo and I would have the same thing again and again and again. The service was nice and they speak Spanish, the coffee was extra good, don’t know really why… and prices were just ok, it could be cheaper. Their chips are some of the best I’ve had in town, you can go just for that!!! The place was kinda empty and it seems bigger that it should be, but they just need better decoration, table setup and they have to remarket themselves. Contact me for marketing advice, folks!

Mexican food 101… fresh salsa. The salsa is watery, flavorless and not fresh. «hot» doesnt count as a taste. And are the chips store bought? They are thin, flavorless and cold. Chips and salsa are your first opportunity to hook a customer. Instead they made me lose my appetite. My burrito on the other hand wasn’t «terrible» but certainly not noteworthy enough to want to come back to this place. No wonder it is so empty. On a positive note, it seemed pretty clean and bathroom was pretty nice so that’s all good.

I am big fan of Laurel Lane location-but tried the new place as told it was the same. We got there just after lunch hour. Waitress told us soon as she met us that 2 people called in sick so service would be a little slower. She also said they were out of chips, and that prices were higher than other location. What she did not tell us was portions size are way less than normal– and that food-while OK –was not the same. I feel bad as the Laurel Lane folks are nice-but this new place-if things dont change-will not make it. No one will pay $ 27(including tip) for lunch for 2 that is slow service and tiny portions. It’s Crazy.

The only authentic item on the menu local to Acapulco is mojarra frita con arroz y frijoles. My wife is from a town near Acapulco so we were hopeful the food would be authentic and good. Neither was the case. The salsa bland, the horchata too creamy, the carne asada was average and the fish was undercooked(and missing salsa verde and onions).

My wife and I had dinner here last Tuesday. We were concerned, because we were the only patrons. She ordered 2 tacos and they were so big, she could eat only one. I ordered 3 tacos and could eat only 2. We found the tacos to be well made and delicious. Service was warm and friendly. We will return; only thing missing was a beer;(hope they get a beer license).

I dropped off my new car to the toyota dealer next door and went back to this restaurant the second time looking forward to huevos ranchero at a warm sunny table outside as my car was being checked out. Whoa … Surprise no tables in the sun the fare today must be «lazy fare«with the wait staff in the doldrums. The breakfast was uninspired and restaurant was squeaky clean and vacant. The ownership speaks of not involved. The potential is there but morning traffic seems to go next door to The Ribline. I will find a new destination for my Mexican fare. Hasty lavista baby !

I am staying nearby for work and picked up a carne asada burrito to go. I came here because of all the positive reviews for«Las Delicias,» which is apparently not here anymore. I didn’t realize this until after I placed and paid for my order and scrolled down to the Unilocal reviews on February 16 that read, «This is no longer Las Delicias.. food is not the same.. Tacos were terrible… Seriously disappointed.» Too late to cancel my order. The door said the restaurant accepted American Express but apparently, an American Express credit card machine was never dropped off to the restaurant(according to the waitress). As I waited for my order, a customer ordered a two hard taco combo, but they don’t have the tool to mold the taco so they only offered soft. Restaurant seems to have too many excuses. The burrito came out in ten minutes. The Carne Asada burrito was strange — it was more of a shredded beef burrito. Under flavored. The mild version salsa(there is a bit of heat) was great — flavorful, chucks of onion. They do not provide chips with your order. For a $ 10 burrito, the restaurant should throw in a side of chips of salsa. It was okay. I will try other Mexican restaurants while staying in SLO.

So disappointing! Ordered a burrito the tortilla was cold and flaky(like it was never warmed) and the inside(rice, beans and meat) was cold. They said it was bc of the guacamole and sour cream on top made it cold? When I said it was cold they threw it in the microwave – yum who doesn’t love microwaved sour cream! Not worth it.
