Love that they’re open 24 hrs! My favorite thing is the bacon breakfast burrito – no, the bacon is not crispy but it is still really good.

Driving through Pueblo for the first time and wanted something local. This place had a drive through– looks like an old Del Taco– but was way better! Got 2 supreme veggie burritos without the sour cream, about $ 10 even and huge! Delish.

Driving through this part of town during breakfast hours we didn’t want to settle for poor chains like IHOP and the Village Inn. Taco Star looked sketchy from the outside, but we figured it had to be a bit better than the above mentioned places and decided to give it a try. There were two cars in the drive through and for the 30 minutes we were there, we were the only people inside. From the outside it looks similar to a Taco Bell or Del Taco, but upon entrance it’s clear this is a notch better. They actually make the food as you order it, The quality isn’t great, by any means, but definitely better than a Taco Bell(which isn’t saying much). Even though it was 6:30 am(this place is open 24 hours) we started with chips and guac. The guacamole is different than you’d expect in Southern Colorado. It was a thick, creamy consistency that was bland. The huevos rancherous were better than we expected. Great fried egg upon order and a full plate of rice and beans with tortillas. They aren’t shy about portions. I opted for a breakfast burrito, which was large but mostly filled with potatoes. I also ordered a carne adovado taco, which was far better than we expected. Again, they actually cook the meat on site. Taco Star isn’t a 5-star, must eat at restaurant, Meanwhile, when in the mood for something that’s similar to fast food, but packs more flavor, this is a safe spot for simple Mexican that won’t wow you, but is edible and priced to sell.

I love it! Good is tasty, it’s clean, reasonable prices, good location(they could move closer to me… like in my back yard! Lol) and great customer service. I’m very impressed!

Make sure to try the lengua tacos or the adovada tacos. The Super Nachos with Carnitas are awesome!

Love rolled tacos and guac… Word of advise– get lots of the red AND green sauce– it kinda rocks! Breakfast anytime beats anything else down the road. Good bye Taco Bell– you have nothing on this place!
