Came in from out of town, tired and a bit hungry. Saw the Unilocal reviews and ordered delivery. It was a bit pricey but damn good. Red Beans and Rice and Jambalaya were delicious. Grilled pear salad was good. Delivery was very fast, quicker than the spots in NoVA and DC.

Some of the estate seafood I’ve had in my travels. The boiled crawdads especially! I don’t live in St Louis, otherwise I’d easily be a regular.

This place is amazing! The atmosphere is very laid back. The food is to die for! Had chargrilled oysters and an oyster por boy both were amazing! Will definitely be back.

Had a BLAST at the oyster bar after attending a cards game. The place is very eclectic and the bartenders were top notch! They were more than willing to give advice and tips on where to go while in town. Not to mention the OYSTERS!!! So good! My boyfriend and I split the grilled oysters… I’ve been dreaming about them ever since! Would love to live in St. Louis because this place is my jam!

Great bit of N’awlins in the middle of St. Louis. I had a fried shrimp po’ boy, and it tasted as great as it does in the French Quarter. It was great to be able to eat outside as well. The only drawback was that the live music was scheduled to start within an hour of our being seated. The service was somewhat slow on a busy night, so it took a long time to order and we were told that we would have to pay the $ 6 cover if we didn’t leave before the music started. Fortunately we got out just before it started. Overall a great place for good food.

Best mud bugs you’ll find outside of Louisiana. Soooo good! The further you make it down the bucket, the better they get! If you don’t know how to eat ‘em, Stefani will show you how… and eat the demonstrators for you! She was great.

I’ve been here quite a few times and have had a great time each time. They generally have live music which is awesome, but beware on weekends(I believe) they charge a cover to get in. The food is so good! I’ve tried a bunch of different things here including the shrimp poboy and fried catfish, both are great and I recommend them. The restaurant has such a fun vibe and cool décor that adds to the ambiance and experience of coming here. A few tips — they do have a small parking lot in the back, but it’s often tough to get a spot in the lot. There is street parking around, as long as it’s not coinciding with a Cardinals game you shouldn’t have a problem finding street parking. Broadway Oyster Bar is a short walk to the stadium so if you need a meal or drink before or after the game, this is a great option, but beware, may be packed as it’s a STL fave!

It ain’t NOLA, but hey, I’m in STL. The food along with the atmosphere still makes for a good experience. Service(waitress) was a bit slow, but they seem understaffed. They put their own spin on the food, I’ve never had red beans with brown sugar and the ettoufee reminds me of stir fry. Enjoy the evening with a friend or a date, either way, you’re not here for the food but the experience.

I have frequented this restaurant a few times after Cardinals games and am always amazed by this place! I took my boyfriend here recently after a game and he said it has become one of his favorite restaurants! Firstly, the Broadway Oyster Bar has the best atmosphere. It’s small but has a very spacious patio. It has great New Orleans type character. We opted to sit outside on the patio so we could listen to the Jazz band. The band was great and the place filled up very fast after the game. The service was also phenomenal. We began our meal with the grilled oysters. I am not the biggest oyster fan, but these were beyond tasty. The Cajun spices were perfect and the cheese on top was just amazing. I could have eaten so many of these! Truly the best oysters I’ve had. For dinner, I chose the jambalaya and my boyfriend chose the fried catfish. The jambalaya was filled with shrimp, chicken and sausage and had great flavor. My boyfriend loved his catfish and said it was cooked perfectly with great spices. Great beer and drink selections, as well! I just love this place! I know I will definitely be back when I return to STL for a Cardinals game. There is no other place liked the Broadway Oyster Bar! Just a great time.

Had never heard of this place before tonight and that is a travesty. Amazing food in a hole-in-the-wall. Incredible food. Great staff. Please visit this place on your next trip to STL.

Still solid across the board. The bartenders in the patio are very friendly and give great recommendations. The char broiled oysters, ooh la la, each one got better, and then they were all gone. :( I’ll be back for the shrimp and grits(big recommendation).

Been here several time prior to joining Unilocal. Really fun place to go. Good beer and great oysters. They have other items if you are not an oyster fan. Smaller establishment, kinda hard to find parking on weekends or gamedays. Still worth it.

I would love to rate BOB as a 4.5! Not so much a 5 star rating yet but maybe on my next visit! Unilocal did not let me down! I’ve booked marked BOB for sometime now and finally had a chance to try them! My main thing is that I absolutely hate downtown traffic and I know this establishment is always super busy especially during games… which is my reasoning why it took so long to visit. I definitely have been missing out! It was a little confusing at first considering it was a seat yourself type of place. We didn’t see any staff and was unsure where to go. So I walked out and waited for my sister to arrive since she has been here before and knows what she’s doing. Now that I know the ropes of seating yourself. I will know what to do next time lol First off, I have to say the staff here are way over the top super friendly! When the sign says leave your attitude at home… they really mean it and that’s just awesome. No one wants a crabby patty as a server and vice versa. We were going to sit inside but they only had a lunch menu. We wanted oysters and all the other good stuff so we were directed to the outside patio. What we ordered… and I was able to sample a little bit of everything. Alligator and shrimp cheesecake: omg this is a must have!!! It reminds me of a soufflé and soufflés are my absolute favorite! It’s a little on the salty side so the pita bread helps! Our server gave us extra without asking! He was very kind to do that. Shrimp Voodoo Tacos: Yum! These were a Tuesday special and they were very good. The shrimp had the perfect amount of heat and crisp! Oyster Cardinale: these were definitely cheesy and very creamy. More cheesy then expected and the actual oysters under all the cream and cheese were nickel size. Smaller than expected for 13 $. Sampler Platter: beans and rice were average! The gumbo was ok same goes for the jambalaya… the andouille lacked in flavor. Tasted as if it was submerged in water for a long time. Cornbread was super dry. Not good at all. But I like my cornbread a little moist. The crawfish étouffée was good. Flavorful and able to taste the seasoning. It’s good my sister had ordered this so we were able to taste a little bit of everything. Lobster Po’boy: our server recommend it and all the Unilocal reviewers rave about it but It was ok, not what I expected. I think the lobster was fried a little too long. I could barely taste the lobster. But the Cajun fries… omg one of the best Cajun fries I’ve ever had in my life! So good can’t wait to go back for more lol. Crawfish Mac n Cheese: a good amount of crawfish and your basic creamy Mac n cheese. I would love if they could do a lobster Mac n cheese. Maybe I’ll ask next time! The crawfish seasoning was very flavorful. You have the taste of the sea that’s for sure! Overall food was good! My absolutely favorite was the cheesecake! There are a couple things I’ll try again but also a couple I will most likely never order. BOB has such an extensive menu and I can’t wait to go back and try other things! I will definitely be back soon maybe next week lol! PS: Whatever you do, don’t microwave your to go container. It will melt!

I ordered the lobster and wild mushroom pasta and a Caesar salad, my wife ordered the lobster Mac n cheese and we had the fried calamari and the mussels as appetizers. The calamari was delicious. Light crispy batter and the pieces were not rubbery at all like you find so many places. These were so tender they had to be fresh! The mussels were good but could have used a lil more bread to really enjoy the juices that it was steamed in. The lobster Mac n Cheese was very bold flavored and hits you up front with some zesty spice and settles into a succulent creamy cheese flavor with a kick of crawfish tail. It was really good! The lobster and wild mushroom pasta was a bit more mellow. Hints of garlic, white wine slowly creep in as you chew and then all of a sudden all the flavors all come together. Again, this was a delicious dish! My wife and I have adopted a game from one our friends who set up the good choices as a competition of who’s choice was best. It’s hard to call a winner between these two dishes as they were both excellent! However a winner must be crowned so my pick I would say has to be the wild mushroom and lobster pasta. The mushroom and lobster pasta came with a slice of grilled garlic bread which was great for mopping up the excess sauce. I was surprised the Mac n cheese didn’t not come with bread as it was a pasta dish too and had just as much excess sauce after the shells were eaten. I would come back here anytime as the food was on point!

Though we didn’t eat at Broadway during my visit, they do get an awesome review for great, reasonably priced drinks and fabulous vibe. During the visit, while we had to wait for a table, everyone there clearly was having fun. Patrons and staff were friendly and chatty, which I like(it feels«homey» to me). The band that was playing was lively and interactive, and clearly had a blast on stage. It wasn’t overcrowded either, though there were people standing to watch the show. While we didn’t eat, we heard a lot of people clearly enjoying their meals.

I read so many good reviews about this place, I decided I had to try it. We came in on a Sunday afternoon for lunch and they weren’t busy at all. We sat in the main dining area, and only about half of the tables were full. We were told to seat ourselves, and ended up at a table that had a leaking room above it, dripping down on the empty seat next to my boyfriend. Not cool. It took a long time for someone to come and take our drink order. I got the Creole Mary which was just the right amount of spicy and pretty damn fantastic. We ordered a dozen Gulf Oysters as an appetizer and then the waiter walked off. He came back about 15 min later and took our entrée order… but didn’t bring the oysters with him. About 15 min after that, we got our entrees. I ordered the crawfish enchiladas, which were just ok. My boyfriend ordered a sandwich which he also had lukewarm feelings about. About half way into our entrees, we flagged the waiter down and told him to cancel our oyster appetizer order. He looked confused and kept asking«Are you sure?». Ummm… yes, we are sure we want to cancel the appetizer we never got now that we are almost done with our entrees. He came back later and tried to fix things by saying that our oysters were accidentally given to another table(we could see pretty much everyone else who was eating and none of them had gotten oysters. Also, with the variety of oysters on the menu, it would be pretty amazing if someone in this group happened to order the exact same oysters we did at the exact same time and somehow get them without us seeing it, even though we sat by the kitchen and watched all of the food coming out). It’s most likely that our order never was put in for these, which is lame considering they weren’t even busy. We liked the atmosphere and the drinks we ordered. We agreed that while we likely wouldn’t stop here for a meal the next time we are in STL, we would maybe pop in for a drink.

Ok First I have to clarify something. The place is HUGE inside and though it may feel crowded, that is because there are ALOT of people inside. There are several dining areas, with the ONLY place one must chip in at 2200 when the band plays, is the relatively small covered patio area. So for someone to bitch that they are pissed to chip in $ 5.00 per person towards the band ESPECIALLYWHENTHEYWEREREQUESTINGSONGS — is absolutely unacceptable. I can only echo John and say PLEASESTICKTOYOURPROMISEANDDON’T COMEBACK ! The food is Wonderful The staff Phenomenal The crowd are not too bad either Stop reading this and go Now What are you waiting for ? Chicka Chicka Ahhh Go on Go

Wow! I am obsessed with this place! When we first arrived there was a bit of a wait, but we luckily snatched some seats at the bar. Just FYI, you can only order food at the bar, not the small tables surrounding the bar. A lot of people tried to come up to the bar and order food, but were out of luck. Anyway, they have some awesome rotating draught beers, and you can do custom flights(which I always love!). The food is just perfection. I wanted to order one of everything here, plus some! My boyfriend and I were just visiting for the weekend so we went for it. We ordered the sampler plate which included gumbo, jambalaya, crawfish étouffée, and rice and beans. We also ordered the mussels appetizer and the daily special, which was a swordfish on cheesy potatoes with string beans. My mouth is literally watering right now just remembering this meal. I think my favorite item was the sword fish, but really, it was all more than amazing! For drinks, we ordered the hurricane and two flights of beers. Since we were in MO, we of course had to try all the local MO beers, which btw were awesome. The hurricane was strong, but a little on the sweet side. Another cool thing about this spot is that they have an outside patio area and live music. I am always a sucker for some nice weather and fun music. After chilling at the bar for a bit, we just happened to be seated in the semi-enclosed patio area when a band came on and it was such a great atmosphere with people laughing, singing, and dancing. This is really a great spot to check out, whether you’re just visiting or a local.

Last minute decision for an early dinner and B.O.B. Didn’t disappoint. We scored parking right in front which was nice, and after a few minutes trying to figure out how to get into the dining room we were quickly seated. I was craving crab legs bad and went with the King Crab plate which was slightly grilled and came with asparagus and baked potatoes. The wife ordered crab cakes, and we also ordered the oyster medley and everything tasted good. Some small tweaks and this place could be 5stars — proper crab forks or better yet cracking the legs before they come out to the table, small dishes when a sampler appetizer is ordered for the table, higher quality napkins(again because of the eat with your hands menu items) would make a difference. Overall very positive experience and I look forward to going back.
