Excellent food and great service. Waiter was friendly and helpful and gave us our space to enjoy our dinner. Menu doesn’t seem very big but there are so many options. It was hard to decide. I definitely want to go again and try more. I ordered the green tomatoes and pickles and the Wagyu Bulgogi Burger. Both were great. I couldn’t eat it all.

It was very quiet when we went around 6:30pm on a Wednesday evening. They have a nice patio and the interior is modern. Service was excellent. I had the Eggplant Creole, which had good spice level, but was a bit on the salty side. My BF had the Spicy Pork. It was awesome! I ended up taking my dish home as leftovers and ate the rest of his :-)

I’ve been here twice, once for brunch and once for happy hour. Both times I was greeted with smiles and nice hospitality. The food was great and the beverages very refreshing. I will def be back.

This place is beyond charming. All of the wait staff are friendly and the food is incredible. I ordered their French toast ala banana foster and burbon with a side of corn bread. It was amazing. The best part is the Asian and cajun fusion though. Combining things like spring rolls and creole shrimp. We sat on the lower patio on a hot and sunny afternoon while the wind blew through the many trees and 1920 – 30’s Jazz played. 5 out of 5, absolutely lovely.

Great food, friendly service, and courtyard for outdoor seating. Items to order: — Wagyu Bulgogi Burger: delicious! The meat was amazing, soft and perfectly cooked at medium rare. On a pretzel bun with coleslaw. I added a fried egg on top. 5 stars just for this item. See picture — Cabbage with duck bacon was delicious as well, it’s a good side dish — Geisha roll was our appetizer, highly recommend — Chicken Katsu, coworker ordered, didn’t try it but looked good. — Jambalaya was also ordered and looked pretty good. I’m not a fan of this dish in other places(i know I’m in the minority!) but the shrimp looked big. I would definitely go again. Probably the best food option if you’re already in the area.

My tastebuds are saturated with awestruck amazement. I just ate decadent french fries and sushi accompanied by a perfectly made Manhattan all in the same meal! Amazeballs! This combination might seem strange but it was just what I needed. I have been to this beautiful establishment many times and each time the sushi has been spot on. Tonight, however was the apogee. I realized just how much I treasured this restaurant. I’ve not had one bad meal or one bad drink. It is so warm and comfortable, I hope it’s here to stay.

We’ve been to this place a couple of times now and both times enjoyed both the food and the service. The atmosphere is bright and modern. The menu is an interesting combo of creole and Asian dishes — the first time we went I had a poboy and this time a noodle bowl. Both were tasty. I appreciate that they take reservations and also that there’s a parking lot so you don’t need to park on the street.

Food and service are very good. I had the shrimp etufee and my wife had the duck. The shrimp etufee was ok, but just ok. The duck which I tastes was much better. We had an order of beignets and a serving of bread pudding with ice cream to share for desert. Both were good. The beignets while good are still not café du monde good but then again, whose are? We’ve been twice now and I’d recommend the restaurant. It’s a lovely building and a good atmosphere. I still need to go back to try their jambalaya.

This was our third visit to Fleur de Lillie. We brought two more couples along telling them how great the food was. Unfortunately, after 90 minutes we had to leave without being served our entrees in order to make it to the theatre in time. Other tables who arrived and ordered after up were finishing their dinners by this time. Our waiter just wasn’t on top of his game. The explanations we got just made it worse. It took another 15 minutes just to get our bills, which weren’t even split correctly. It is a shame that poor service can ruin what could have been a good dining experience.

yes, Yes, YES !!! When I tell you this place is such a treasure, believe me. Fleur de Lilies is a Cajun/Creolé-Asian infused cuisine restaurant in the Soulard neighborhood. It’s right on the corner of Lynch and 11th, literally across the street from Anheuser-Busch. I believe there’s a parking lot, but you can always park on the street. You’re greeted by a hostess when you first walk in. The décor is clean, bright and warm. There’s a bar, small booths and dining area on the first floor. The upper level is situated the same, I believe. An outdoor patio is an option, as well. I was apart of a party of 7 and we were seated on the first level. Our designated waitress was nice, attentive and was very familiar with the menu. She took our drink order and gave us space to skim over the menu. FdL has a nice variety of choices, and eventually I settled on the Great Aunt Maebell’s Gumbo – it came with rice and a slice of cornbread. Ok, OMG, so good! Not to mention, it was seasoned very well. All ingredients were fresh. It tasted like it came from my own kitchen. My serving was hearty and of a nice size. I was stuffed! My friends raved about how great their food was, too. It took a little minute for our food to come. But considering we were a party of 7, I think they wanted to make sure we all were served at the same time, instead of a plate here and there, which made sense. The prices were fair. A few things listed as appetizers could easily be full out entreés, tho(pricing included). We didn’t get dessert, but I’m looking forward to trying their beignets when I come back. FdL is a new fave of mine. Hopefully I can experience this for date nite. I highly recommend this spot for everyone!

They were very good about accommodating our large group and were on time with reservations. Nice looking place, friendly service. Such a wide variety on the menu. I had sushi and thought it was very good. Everyone at the table really loved their entrees and can’t wait to go back.

Truly fantastic. Note that I’m very picky about giving out 5 star reviews. The fried chicken wings with corn cakes is to die for!!! Omg individually and collectively a fantastic dish. So impressed. My husband ordered the spring rolls and reports that they were really good. Note the chicken wings and corn cakes is certainly entrée size. Wasn’t even hungry when my entrée came. Bubbly margarita and old fashioned are both very well done. The burger is really great. Both James and I were impressed. His jambalaya was good but not great in my book. Seasoned well but just comes off a little dry. Service was good. She was certainly More attentive in the beginning. We came here celebrating my husbands birthday so I planned to take my time and stay an hour and a half at least, with 3 courses, but they had us in an out in an hour. Felt compelled to order entrees before I was ready because she kept coming back after our apps were in. Had a free bread pudding dessert for James’s birthday. Was fine but not great.

I’ve been twice and plan on going back. Simply put, the food is really good! I’ve had several apps, tasted a few entreés and shared a special and it’s all very delicious. The sushi is really, really good. Compared to the other dinner items that can be pricey, you get a really nice portion of sushi for a much more reasonable price. I will probably order the Fried Fusion Spring Rolls every time I go– I suggest you do too! My two suggestions: 1. The Bread Pudding was underwhelming. Being fair, I’m a harsh critic when it comes to bread pudding as we have some really wonderful places in STL when it comes to bread pudding(Broadway Oyster Bar’s holds the top spot IMO). FDL’s wasn’t warm and the description failed to mention that it had apples in it. Which – I love apples in a dessert, but I would have liked to have a heads up. Nice sized portion though. 2. They have two large wooden booths in the main dining area downstairs. I’m hoping those get padded soon b/c your behind can get sore if you sit there for too long. All in all, I’ll be back and I’m glad FDL is here!

A 5 star experience 2nd time around! Called and made a reservation for a brunch party of 6, ends up everyone flaked out. The server was super gracious about it — I always feel bad reserving a large table if people don’t come through. All the food was amazing — Beignets were hot and crispy, not too sweet dough. Orange glazed wings — saucy and well spiced, super hot fried chicken, fried perfectly and covered in sweet hot sauce. The creole breakfast comes with a salmon croquette, two farm eggs, rice or sweet creamy grits and toast. Fluffy scrambled soft eggs, and the creamy grits were sweet, but not sickeningly southern sweet. Best salmon croquette ever — let the fish shine through, seasoned with salt, pepper and basil, and some other stuff. The manager came by and made sure that we had a better visit than last time, and thanked us for coming back. And they also have happy hour specials too.

Cajun and Korean? What’s not to love! This place is great addition to St. Louis’ booming food scene. My wife and I went here for our Thursdate lunch and tried the Peel and Eat Shrimp(Cajun Style), and the Dry Rub Chicken wings. Both dishes were very good and it had the right amount of heat that we were looking for. The Peel and Eat Shrimp is a bit pricey for lunch($ 16), but man, that is a lot of shrimp! The Bibimbap looks good on the Unilocal photos too, so we’ll try that next time. Pros: Excellent food, friendly staff, fast service Con: Street Parking, so parking may be tricky on busy hours Tip: Its right in front of the AB Brewery, so it’s a great place to take visitors after doing the AB tour.

Does it work, or doesn’t it work? If you haven’t been there, you have to be asking this — can sushi coexist with creole? Well, they both feature rice and shrimp, I guess. For me, it was kind of odd. BUT some of the food we got here was pretty amazing. The sushi was good. The nigiri was great, really — biiiiiggg pieces of tuna and salmon, but I do recommend either all sushi or Cajun/creole. Going back and forth was a weird mix for me. Bulgogi might work a lot better, though. Maybe we’ll try it next time. And, yes, there will be a next time. The peel and eat shrimp was the best I’ve ever had, and I’ve had some great ones. This one comes with lots of garlic that’s been simmered or roasted or whateve until you can eat it by the spoonful. Amazing, really. As an accompaniment, I got the fried cabbage with duck bacon. I’m getting hungry again thinking about it/. wow. Our server was really good. They need more wall art, especially to tone down the purpleness of the place. The bottom line, though: These folks know how to cook. Check it out.

UPDATED: we tried this place for a second time and really enjoyed it! The bubbly margarita is so tasty, strong enough to taste the alcohol but not overwhelming. This time we ordered the same sushi, the geisha’s kiss(minus the sauce) but it is so good! Salmon, tuna, shrimp tempura, and avocado. The shrimp adds the perfect amount of crunch! They had 2 specials that night, one mahi and a lamb special! I love lamb chops so we ordered those and my BF got the shrimp po’ boy. The lamb was excellent. Perfectly cooked, flavorful, and not very fatty! It was served with rice and flash fried spinach and that combination was excellent. My boyfriend said his po’ boy was also fantastic. The bread was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. I really wanted to update to 5 stars but our server was mediocre. We ordered a bottle of Sauvignon blanc and she brought it to the table and told my boyfriend he could open it and she didn’t bring a chiller. Later we also overheard another server telling her tables the special and we were thoroughly disappointed as our server told us the mahi came with an edamame and corn herb vinaigrette of some sort, while the other server detailed a delicious succotash with vegetables. Additionally, our server only told us about the lamb special, when in fact there was a filet special as well. Naturally, my BF wanted a steak that night and there wasn’t one on the menu. We had the same issues with wine last time and I think it’s an easy fix. Either way I do love this place! I had an overall enjoyable experience here. The ambiance is warm and inviting, we were greeted immediately by the host and bartenders and the food was very good. Some of the positive highlights: They have beer glasses specifically for different types of beer Their menu has variety with a common theme with some fantastic sushi Wine list is small, but affordable and a little bit of everything Cocktails are crafty, strong, and delicious Some of the negative highlights: Our service was rather slow, but she was sweet and knowledgeable about food items, though she served our white wine and put the cap back on without bringing a chiller It takes the bartenders quite some time to prepare the drinks, which can be expected for ones that have multiple steps and ingredients, but they weren’t that busy The short rib dish was okay – kind of flavorless Not a fan of the BBQ shrimp app – nothing at all like what you get in NOLA. All in all, I enjoyed it enough to go back again. I know they are new, and it was good, affordable and friendly service. Just need some minor improvements.

The good, the bad, the ugly… The good: Cabbage w/Duck Bacon, yes get that! Seasoned to perfection, a wonderful side dish. Vodka Gimlet, their bartender is on point. Would have loved to get several. Shrimp Poboy, very good seasoning on the shrimp and the remoulade sauce. I did take off ½ the bread though. Service was awesome! The bad: Mac n Cheese lacked seasoning and the appetizer Fried Green Tomatoes and Pickles was not a portion relative to price. In addition to that, the Fried Green Tomatoes needed more seasoning. The ugly: Beignets… now, to be fair, I’m partial to Café Du Mond in New Orleans, so, there’s no one who can live up to them, however, Fleur wasn’t even close. Won’t order these again. Overall, I did enjoy the meal and I will visit again. The music playing in the restaurant was great. I wish I had their playlist.

I was here last night with four other colleagues. My experience here was pretty good. The service was good and so was the food. I ordered the Deveraux signature cocktail which was a little too citrusy for me. It burned as it went down my throat so after every sip I had to chase it with water. I’ll order a different cocktail next time. My entrée, the shrimp étouffée, was excellent! Very good flavor and cornbread was good too. The restaurant has nice ambiance and the jazz music playing throughout the restaurant was a nice compliment to the atmosphere. I was interested in seeing the sushi menu but it wasn’t given to us, so that may only be offered during lunch, I’m not sure. I will definitely be back though.

The restaurant had been recently refurbished and it feels very fresh. Purple and yellow theme. The gumbo was surprisingly good with nice chunks of crab and delicious sausage. The cornbread was delicious but would have been even better if served hot. Lastly the bread pudding was very sweet with the ice cream, if rich desserts are your thing then this one will hit that note.
