This place use to be great & fast. Now it takes forever to go through their drive thru. I see people behind me just drive off, after sitting forever in line.(Many times.) Now after 15 mins I drive off without my food. They have 2 windows, but only use 1. If a person has a big large order, it would be nice, if they would have that person pull into staging spots and keep the line moving. This location is also very unsafe to sit stuck in the line, always leave enough room to turn right and hit the gas. People have been robbed and shot while waiting for a burger ½ block away. I try to avoid going to this location. People get robbed alot, walking from stadium to the parking lot.

Sometimes friendly service. I’m pretty sure I can make breakfast at home fast then they can since it always takes more than 15min and it’s taken up to 45min.

Some friends and I walked to this nearby White Castle, super excited to finally try these mini sliders EVERYONE seems to rave about. So this location is suppose to be open 24÷7… and it was, but when we arrived, there was a sign on the door stating that they close the restaurant at 9pm, but the drive-thru is open 24⁄7. Um, there’s a hella long line for drive-thru, and hello, we don’t have a car. We were told we could download their app and order online. So we’re standing there, right in front of the White Castle, ordering our food online — how dumb. That was a bitch, btw. NOT user-friendly at all. After all was said and done, we finally got our food and ate in their out-side patio. The food: what the hell, Harold and Kumar!!! Hella false advertising. It was nothing special. I would choose Jack in Box over this place ANY day. I was still burping up White Castle the following morning, ugh, it was gross. Never again.

My parents grew up eating at this place. Every time we visit Illinois, everyone wants to stop for the burgers. Touched down in St. Louis a few days ago and my sister insisted on stopping here. There was a game down the street at the stadium and traffic was heavy. Drunk people loitered the parking lot and across the street at the bar/pub. Inside was closed because it was kind of late so we went through the drive through. We had four orders and some extra add-on requests. The lady working the window seemed to have an attitude and wanted to rush us. When I asked about something incorrect on the screen, she acted as if it was my fault she made an error. Luckily we drove around to eat in the car because one of the side orders was missing. My sister had to walk back up to the drive through window with her receipt and said the lady still had an attitude. I was never fond of white castle and this confirmed my dislike once again. My fish sliders were not spectacular. French fries had no salt at all. The cheese sauce was cold. The lady at the drive through window left out part of the order because she was busy being nosey and looking at guys pull up. How unprofessional!

This location is terrible! Walked in tonight and nobody acknowledged me until I asked. The cashier was blabbing in the back with coworkers as the break area is visible. The worst part though is that they actually let a couple of bums sleep in here on the tables! They interacted with the one guy when he woke up and he went back to sleep. I had to dine across from a couple of them sleeping.

I have eaten here several times. I really do not like the neighborhood. The burgers were their usual belly bombing goodness.

It was late at night, I was working overtime covering the midnight shift at work and needed food. Not much was open at such an ungodly hour. The service was quick, the food was hot and fresh. I was impressed that the lot was pretty much litter free, which is impressive considering its downtown location. Normally I do not use a drive-thru window, so I was shocked with the speedy and polite service I received. I had a good giggle while in line for the drive-thru, the car ahead of me was actually a golf cart. He was a security guard from a nearby nightclub. Not my typical WC, but I’d come back for a slider or two.

Food was standard White Castle, but the service & construction really put me off. We had to circle a couple of times because the parking lot was COMPLETELY closed off(recently repaved?), and then it wasn’t until we’d parked at a metered spot and walked up to the door that we saw a small sign stating that the interior was CLOSED and only the drive-thru was open. Okay, so we went around again and got into the drive-thru behind a bunch of drunk drivers who kept driving into the curb. :\ When it came time for me to order(for a group of 5 people), I only got to ordering a few items before the employee cut me off and stated the total. I was a little shocked because I gave ZERO indication that the order was done, so I responded«Oh… we’re not done ordering yet.» I stated the rest of the order and said, «And that’s the whole order.» «That’s all.» «That’s everything we’re ordering.» And then we waited through an awkward, silent pause before the employee finally told us to pull forward. Not sure what was going on there. When we finally pulled up, they had mixed up the order of the orders. And then they brought out a chocolate shake when we ordered vanilla. They replaced the shake, but the employee seemed annoyed by the request. Meh. At least the food didn’t taste off. Well, mine didn’t and no one else complained, anyway.

This was my first White Castle. Didn’t know what to expect. Had of course heard about these magical burgers Staff was friendly and the place was clean. Food. Didn’t expect much. Boy was I surprised. Their sliders are packed w flavor. Finished four cheese burgers in two minutes. I’m definitely coming back.

This was a very clean location, everything seemed bright and new compared to other locations we visited during our stay. The employees weren’t real friendly but we did have a little trouble ordering since we’re newbies here, they didn’t understand what we wanted since we don’t speak the white castle lingo. Food came out fast, was hot and fresh and OHSODELICIOUS!

I walked in here a Whitecastle virgin and walked out a man. A bloated man full of greasy food, but a man nonetheless. For starters the staff here were very patient with me and my fellow out-of-towners while we decided what to order. They made small talk and asked about where we were from. I can’t remember the combo number we ended up getting, but it consisted of 20 original sliders and 4 small fries. They had to wait for a new batch of fries to cook, so they threw in 4 chicken sliders for free so we could try them, too, while we waited. Score! I don’t typically like onions on my burgers, even grilled into the meat, but these sliders were pretty good even with them. I put several away. So did my friends. But we still had extra. One friend insisted on saving them. According to him, they do not make a good midnight snack when they’ve been resting in the bag unrefridgerated for several hours… Who would’ve thought? The place was decked out like an old-fashioned diner/soda shoppe, which I dig. The bathrooms were clean and smelled nice. I think I was lucky to get this Whitecastle as my first. It’ll always have a special place in my heart.

Why not. I liked it before they got trendy and started calling them sliders. Great to get a bunch and eat them hot and cold. Horseradish mustard makes it last.

For a quick slider Downtown, there aren’t a lot of options(especially at the moment with Eat-Rite closed…). If you’re trying to grab a drive-thru coffee for breakfast or mini sandwich for lunch, this is about your only bet(there’s a McDonald’s just north of Downtown that offers a drive-thru as well for both meals; Rally’s and Taco Bell are within a couple of blocks of this White Castle if you’re craving something different). Fresh off of the grill, the Savory Chicken is salty but satisfying. Sliders here came out quickly and as expected. If you’ve ever eaten at a WC, you know that the fries aren’t anything to write home about: they’re the epitome of standard crinkle cuts. The space’s design is pleasant if you’re wanting to dine-in. Recently renovated, the dining room is mostly clean and there are several different types of tables(booths, standard and counter-height). Small groups shouldn’t have any problem pulling together 5 or 6 seats.

Oh man! After viewing the Gateway Arch I took Audrey and Jazi to this White Castle.(You must try the sliders at least once in your life– and i mean fresh sliders). We ordered inside and ate in the car. Once they discovered the goodness, we all had to take a trip through the drive thru. Yum. One thing about this location on that day is the customer service was pretty low.

I have only had the frozen sliders in the supermarkets in Los Angeles, and Salt Lake City. I hit White Castle drive thru on the way to the airport. Little morsels of heaven. I got the 4 slider combo with fries and drink. The sliders were hot and fresh. If I wasn’t in a hurry to catch a plane I would have went back to eat another 10! This lived up to all the hype for sure.

First day landing in St. Louis and spotted a White Castle? SCORE! I have always wanted to try this stuff after it has been glorified in the Harold and Kumar movie. The price: dirt cheap. Around 60 cents per slider? Count me in! The service: it was slow. I think there was a total of 3 people to receive orders, cook the food, and help out at drive-thru. The taste: bun was moist, meat wasn’t dry, condiments in it totally hit the spot. We got the original sliders, slider with bacon, and slider with jalapeño. The bacon slider totalllllyy hit the spot because it gave a nice chewy and crunchy factor to it. This is definitely worth a decent 3 star to me for the taste and price, definitely worth the experience of trying. Thank goodness they don’t have this chained in California… otherwise people would be swarming to buy it since it’s soo cheap and convenient.

This place got renovated with that«open air» feeling with only ONE counter section to keep you from wondering when WOULD they open that 2nd or 3rd tier(I still think we need a Unilocal event big enough to warrant that…). Friendly fast service and because of said open air layout, it’s a heck of a lot cleaner too.

I am a part of the Craver Nation! I don’t know when my obsession with White Castle started, certainly not as a child. I was a picky little kid. Some would argue that I’m still pretty picky! However, once I realized that onions wouldn’t hurt me and are, in fact, delicious, WC became a staple for my taste buds. I lived close to one in Florissant growing up and have lived all over since then, many times sadly without a WC. When we settled in Soulard, it didn’t take me long to find the downtown Whitey’s. Since the end of April, it has been one of my most frequented places. Much like the surrounding fast food restaurants, the Broadway White Castle can be fairly inconsistent. Out of the three places(Rally’s, Taco Bell, White Castle), the service is probably the best. However, I have to be really, really patient when I get the craving. It doesn’t matter if I go inside or wait in the drive thru. This Whitey’s is slow as thick molasses. Once I get to my burgers or breakfast(I love the sliders with egg and cheese. Hello heart attack!), everything is fine. The planets align, and for a brief moment, everything is right in my world.
