I’ve liked this place before, but the chowder today was full of potatoes and only luke warm. My prime rib was also luke warm and although I ordered it «medium-rare on the rare side», it was more like medium. On the other hand, my wife enjoyed her bouillabaisse very much. Service was good — attentive, but not obtrusive.

Came for dinner started with clam chowder, not many clams but overall great flavor. Then moved on to a make your own pasta dish: fettuccine with scampi sauce and blackened scallops — all cooked perfectly though the blackened scallops were a little too«hot» for my liking. Next time I will ask for lightly blackened. Husband ordered Alfredo and it was great too. Place if filled locals which ads to its charm. This was our 2nd time here and we’ll definitely be back again

We had the most amazing experience here! We used them to cater a workplace associates day and they delivered more than we expected! We were going to go with another place but were being unfairly overcharged(the owner of Morells agreed). I called them about 2 days before the associates day and they said they could absolutely help us out even though it was last minute. They thought up a menu to fit our needs, they truly know what they’re doing. I gave them the budget we had and they said they could do it for that and they did, exactly for our budget. From the very 1st phone call with them they were incredibly friendly and professional. The food and service were both amazing. We had enough food to feed everyone. They delivered everything on time for both lunch and dinner. They came in with all the warmers and dishes to hold the food in, set it up and cleaned it up after! We will definitely be using them again! I wish I had known about them for my wedding! Thank you so much!

I really want to like this place. Local, non-chain restaurant… please have some good food! Bad indication number one… many Buicks in the parking lot. Apparently there was a white head convention the day that I went. Oh well, let’s give this joint a twirl. Start with a Cape Cod Blonde. OK, we’re having some problems with the tap but the beer finally makes it. My bartender is having a tough moment. Never something you want to share with the customer. Ordering off menu — can we go with a buffalo chicken sandwich… sure. That’s the good news. Chicken was over cooked and the buffalo sauce was not adhering to the breast(hmm, marinade in something with oil?). Usually things not sticking to breasts is not an issue with me but in this case, the flavor bid my food a fond adieu. Oh, forgot a setup? I don’t think I’ll ask while she’s in the middle of a meltdown. Let me just use the 5,000 or so drink napkins here and arrange them in a RESCUEME message. Hope they do well in the summer before all the Q-Tips head south.

Had the most wonderful seafood bouillabaisse.23.95 well worth it with real saffron threads. Five of us with a bill about 125.00. Great oysters on half shell. Waitresses were attentive to our needs. Prime rib cooked to a actual medium rare as requested. Loved the mandarin ginger dressing on my salad. Would come back to order the same meals.

Another solid lunch at Morrell’s. Their vegetable side was a nice julienne of onion squash and broccoli. Chowder is worthy of its various awards. British fish and chips are just like the meals i had in London. Always a nice experience at a fair price.

Great place after hitting the CCRT! The lobster rolls were really good, the chowder was world class! Good service. Just need to get an IPA on tap!

Five stars a few nights ago. Tonight not so great. They are having lots of behind the scenes sad issues, owner shared them with us, and it was tense there in the kitchen, with our waitress and owner. Just temporary. I still say go there but wait a few weeks. And despite all the problems, the food was still good. Make sure salmon is cooked though. I sent it back for re-cook. Good after that.

We have eaten at Motels several tines and have never been disappointed. All the dishes are based on local ingredients from“just caught fish” to garden grown herbs the flavors are fanatic. Be sure to try a truly unique dish… The Thai seafood stew. You will not be disappointed ! A true hidden gem in Dennis.

It wasn’t great. We wanted to go somewhere else but they were closed. So we had heard this place had the best scallops in bacon, they don’t. It was served in an escargot dish, the scallops were tiny and the dish overpriced. Our waitress didn’t seem to like us or care that we needed something, my sister is a server and she knows bad service when she sees it. My mom and I got fried bay scallops for dinner; they were watery which made the breading icky with a bad mouth feel. It could have been worse but we won’t be back to give them another whack at our wallets.

Excellent food and a very creative menu with varying daily specials at reasonable prices. You can tell that they use nothing but the freshest ingredients. Perfectly cooked seafood, amazing salads, and great soups. I work nearby — my coworkers and I agree that you just can’t go wrong at Morrell’s. One must be willing to wait a little(they even post a sign to that effect) for your dinner, but it is definitely worth it. There are some very tasty drinks on the menu while you wait. If you aren’t in a big hurry, go to Morrell’s, relax and enjoy.

This was our first time here on a recommendation from some locals. The four of us arrived and had a short wait to get a table. In summary the climate control was not effective, the server forgot the bread for the table, The Ice machine for drinks was broken, so there were warm drinks served. It took 45 minutes for the appetizer to get to the table, then before we even tasted the app the dinner entrée came out. I asked for the manager but there must not have been one available because nobody ever came. The food was alright, the service stunk primarily because of under staffing and an inexperienced young server. I would have given it a try again, yet after asking for the manager and not getting a response and getting charged for drinks not served with ice we will pass by this establishment every opportunity we can.

What a find. We have drove by here many times and gave it a try. If you want fresh seafood prepared creatively(ie not just fried) and outstanding service with a cozy atmosphere then this is worth a visit The stuffed clam is a must have to start your meal .

I don’t count my calorie intake yet so I’m all for comfort food. I’ve gone here on my own for a quick lunch, with friends or with my kids for lunch/dinner. Every time we’ve had outstanding service and good food. They serve their spinach artichoke dip with homemade chips. Kid menu food isn’t a lower quality than the adults — just different portion. Portion sizes ensure I’m taking something home for later. I was disappointed yesterday when I realized halfway home that I forgot my to-go box of chicken alfredo.

Morrels is a hidden gem, located in a prepossesing strip mall on Route 134. Interesting menu with a couple gluten free dishes noted on the menu. Had lunch there on recommendation of a friend who had dinner the night before. She raved about pasta and tomato sauce. Opted for the Thai salad. Very tasty — not sure if they have salads like this in Thailand, but this salad had lots of crispy vegetables, crunchy noodles and a ginger dressing. Hit the spot on a hot summer day. The full salad was more than enough for lunch. Waitress was quick, cheerful and efficient. Menu did include some homey dishes like meatloaf sandwhich, served hot or cold. Not a hipster, cutting edge place. It’s a small, welcoming place where the food is very good and the prices reasonable. Almost hate to admit such enthusiasm as it might draw tooooo many people for my next visit there.

Good food, good value, great menu. After getting hosed at a few touristy Cape Cod eating establishments that charged $ 25/plate for subpar food and $ 8/glass for mass market wine, it was a relief to be back at Morrell’s. It’s located right near the start of the Cape Cod Rail Trail, making it a convenient place to stop for lunch after a morning of cycling. Some quibbles: Our food took about 25 minutes to come out, including our 3-year old’s pasta which we wanted ASAP(though the service was otherwise very good); our oysters-on-the-half shell were disturbingly warm; we never got a roll& butter that should have come with the entrees(not that we needed it – the portions are generous but not overwhelming).

Located next to BOA on Rt. 134, this Mom and Pop style eatery is popular with the whitehaired generation. We have been before usually to have a quick bite. The food is not really good for your waistline(mac and cheese and carb laden desserts I adore) but on occassion we crave comfort food. In the past the mac and cheese and fish dishes were really pretty good. The owner’s daughter was a great waitress. She was missing today as was the owner. Today I was dying for turkey and gravy. The place was full of seniors. The waitress was very nice but the bartender’s voice was out of a cartoon… it was squeaky and annoying. It really challenged the enjoyment of our dining expereince. My teen ordered chicken parm and I ordered the chicken breast with cornbread stuffing(no turkey) and a side of mashed potatoes. Service initially was good. We had two hot spiced ciders which cured what ailed our cold bones. The food came piping hot. My teens parm was on a bed of angel hair sitting in a watery tomato sauce with huge hunks of onion and chunks of almost whole canned tomato. She left most of that and ate most of her not too tasty parm. My chicken came with a less than smooth but tasty supreme sauce. The mashed potatoes were lumpy much to my dismay. I left them. The cornbread apple stuffing too sweet. The chicken was dry but canned cranberry sauce helped. The veggies were hot and tasty. We were craving the Indian pudding so shared a serving of what we now call Native American Pudding to be PC. It was DELISH. Back to the service: After our meal was served we never saw the waitress at our table. We waited a good 15 minutes before she saw we had long finished our meals. We asked for dessert and the bill at once and tipped 15% due to her apparent lack of interest in our concerns. Total was 35USD. The bar was empty and it was curious why the bartender never assisted in at least bussing a few tables. Curious… we’d go back for tea and dessert. It had potential. maybe it was an off day?
