I don’t care how long the wait is or where they seat me or if my doctor said my diet is killing me. A life without breakfast here is no life worth living i say

The best food breakfast and lunch. Everything is homemade and you can actually watch your food being cooked if you get the right seats. Great staff, very attentive keeping the coffee filled.

The Red Cottage continues to be a pitch-perfect breakfast spot on Cape Cod. A testament to that fact is that in my last trip to the area, I ate here twice in five days. You drive up, and you’ll immediately notice how quaint and charming it looks. In fact, it’s the closest thing to the breakfast restaurant of your dreams. It’s very popular, so you may have to wait on a weekend or during the high season. If you come early, though, you can beat the rush. I’d recommend these items on the menu: Red Cottage home fries — Fantastic breakfast potatoes, par boiled and then crisped on the grill with onions, peppers, mushrooms, and tomato, then drizzled with Hollandaise. Waffle — Crisp, beautiful Pancakes — Close to perfect, they weren’t very thick and heavy and are cooked well on the griddle. They also have a pumpkin version sometimes that’s also delicious.

I was staying on the cape for the weekend in October and needed to find a place to grab breakfast. Stumbled upon the Red Cottage Restaurant and was able to get 2 counter seats without any wait. What a great place to sit! My boyfriend and I watched the cooks and the waitresses hard at work. I got the Hyannis(two eggs, crab cakes, toast, side dish & two pancakes) and chose baked beans as my side. It was awesome and filling — could definitely not finish. Mt boyfriend got the eggs blackstone benedict(bacon and grilled tomatoes) with the red cottage homefries(homefries doused in hollandaise with ham and veggies). They served our tea and coffee is kitschy mugs and we had a very friendly server who was super busy and did her best to be efficient and quick. We enjoyed the place so much that the next morning before we drove home we stopped by again and got breakfast sandwiches to go! Everything I ate from Red Cottage Restaurant was great and we would definitely go back again if we are in the area. There is also an ATM on sight since it is cash only. Very convenient!

Definitely Recommend this place! Quaint, friendly staff, and very kid friendly. Hubby had the Truro combination, which was 2 eggs any style, breakfast meat, bananas foster french toast and a side(get the home fries). The french toast was to die for! I had Plantation breakfast(2 sunny side up eggs, bone in ham on grits). Also very good. I also had their pop overs, which was good. We Can’t wait to come back for lunch/dinner

My bf and I stopped in today for breakfast on our way back to NYC from the cape. We had never been there before. I saw all of the cars parked along side the road and instantly knew this place was going to be good considering how popular it was! It’s not too big inside so we saw parties of 3 or more having to wait some time for a table; however, since it was only 2 of us we were seated right away. Service was warm, friendly and quick! I ordered the lobster Benedict with a side of grits. My bf ordered the corn beef hash, side of grits and half of a southern pecan waffle. Everything was delicious! Probably the best meal we had the entire weekend we spent at the cape. Will def go back next time we’re in town.

Had steak and eggs at red cottage this morning. It was as good as any steak and e ggs I’ve ever had. Supplemented with blueberry French Toast lot of blueberries fluffy and delicious. at the red cabbage every summer and this was the best I’ve ever seen it even though it’s always been good. Red cottage has mad e the transition from breakfast dive to an excellent morning restaurant. Would not yet go there for dinner but tempted.

The Red Cottage is certainly the best breakfest restaurant in the cape, quiet possibly in the world. The Cinnamon Bun French Toast is absolutely amazing. The icing is the best part; it’s warm and sweet and really makes the french toast. The Bacon is maple gazed and is unlike anyother type of bacon. And the red cottage home fries are a must have as well. If you are on cape this is a culinary stop that has to be made. Does not matter how far you are it is a must have.
