RIP Ardeo; the skinny I got on the closing was they remained seriously overextended from their previous expansion, and the finances and seasonal ups and downs finally got the best of them. The location here was always more convenient for locals than for tourists, being as it was in the middle of a parking lot for a strip mall, but it just didn’t have enough depth to sustain the off-season traffic needed to make a restaurant profitable.

Unfortunately they closed this location in mid April 2014, They are going to reopen in early May in Brewster and maybe in South Dennis at the old Christine’s location on 28.

This is not a fancy dinning restaurant but since the moment we arrived they were courteous and nice to us. We ordered 2 pizzas, chicken fingers, mozzarella sticks(which my daughter devoured) and tiramisu. The pizzas were so good that I even ate the crush which I don’t usually do. The chicken fingers were ok. The tiramisu was soo good and so big we had to bring half home. Great service too. Our waiter was very attentive and on top of everything we needed!

This is certainly not a 5 star restaurant. We have been several times including yesterday. It is good, just not great. Food it good, service is ok, depending on who you get. I would give this place three possibly 3.5 stars. I noticed on Unilocal three other entries for this restaurants with an average of three stars or less reviews. Through some mixup this entry has a 5 star rating with only 4 reviews. Unilocal friends, this is not a 5 star restaurants

I’ve eaten at Ardeo for years and it’s always been good. We went there Sunday and it was such a good experience that I decided to Unilocal about it. From the moment we walked in until we left, they nailed it. I do wonder if it would have been as good with a different server — our server, Vicky, was fantastic. Great with our kids, went the extra mile with our food questions. Everyone was pleasant, food was great.

Have eaten lunch here 4 – 5 times this year and it has always been good. They have a really good turkey burger(very moist and tasty). Jack at the bar is great, very friendly and effecient. They also have bogo pizza on Tuesday.

I kind of depends what you order, but Ardeo generally offers decent food for a decent price. I honestly think it used to be better, and it’s probably time for a facelift. On the other hand, the last time I was there I really enjoyed the special I ordered: Haddock with Lobster. It was super flavorful, and the pieces of lobster on top were more than generous. Another special on the table, Steak Oscar was perfectly cooked and had great flavor as well. I also like that they do seasonal specials, and cooking classes. Fun! Service last time we were there was also very friendly. I think there’s a difference between visiting year-round restaurants on the Cape in winter versus summer. I enjoyed the quiet, early dinner with just a few other diners, but that might not be the atmosphere some seek, but worth a visit to decide for yourself.

Everytime I’m on the cape I go here. Its my dad’s favorite place to eat. The food is good, the service is lousy, but they have a really good bar. I go there to eat for free with my folks. Food is good, just stick to simple things that cant be messed up. :0) And dont expect your dish to be burning hot by the time it gets to you. And always order a round of waters, because your waitress will never come back if you didnt order an app.

5 stars for Bill our SUPREME waiter who saved the day. My friend reserved a table for 18 in the bar for a b day party. We arrived and they had the time incorrect and not enough tables. The hostess really didn’t have a solution that worked but Bill came to the rescue and set up the table perfectly. We moved the kids across the bar and that worked great too. Super bread, great food, fast service, fair prices, fun vibe. Thanks Bill for making Nancy’s party a great success.

My family and I have eaten at Ardeo several times and have always enjoyed it, but today I want to review their family take out meals. My family like many others is extremely busy, and a lot of times it is difficult to make sure my family is getting a good dinner. One night a mom from my daughters soccer team was raving about the Ardeo’s family take out meals, I thought to myself there is no way that it is: a. affordable and b. enough to feed my hungry family. Boy was I wrong! We gave it a go and not only was it MORE than enough food, there were 3 different pricing tiers that any family on a budget could afford and you get a tray of the main entrée, salad, and rolls! The food was great and I felt great too knowing that I fed my family something decent, not fast food. Thank you Ardeo!

Had dinner with hubby last night and left the restaurant stuffed and happy! DH said the angus tips were great(he’s picky about his meat). I had the seafood Ardeo and it was to die for! It was fresh spinach pasta topped with scallops, fish, shrimp, lobster and mussels in a tomato sauce The complimentary bread was served warm with a flavorful dipping oil enhanced with freshly grated Parmesan cheese. We rounded out the meal with baklava for him and tiramisu for me. Other than wishing I had ordered the special smaller version everything was wonderful!

The staff were great. The menu has a decent selection and variety. The fresh warm bread is delicious and the olive oil on the table is chili-infused. All positives so far, right? The chicken parm was not good. Their tomato sauce was flat and bland. The chicken was dry and the seasoning in the meatballs was funky.

Not what it used to be. Soggy Caesar salad. Calamari are small, greasy, mixed w greens. I’ll pass them by in the future. OMG. The main dish just arrived. One of the worst plates I have ever eaten in a restaurant! We ordered half eggplant & half chicken parmigiana. They came one on top of the other and were taste free. I’m talking horrible. Stop– Get back on the mid Cape Highway and look elsewhere.

After a hard day of work, I was happy to sit down to eat some grub. The bread was fresh and delicious. The waitress kindly offered us a second roll(I love New Englanders — so kind and genuinely happy people). I ordered the Mozzarella and Tomato panini which was scrumptious. I ate it all in like 15 minutes flat. The pan fried fries were good too.

Happily took a reservation for 8. Very accommodating for our 19mo. old in the party. Made a special salad for us that wasn’t on the menu… Food was good… bill was reasonable. 8 People, desserts, wine — $ 240.

Not our worst meal on the cape… but so not worth the drive from our hotel. The pizza/mediterranean combo ought to give some indication that things are not quite right… but stubborn Mr. M will not pass up a free pizza coupon, even in a freakin rainstorm. I will give them interesting. 2.5 stars. We shared a chicken alfredo pizza that actually had pasta on it, a big salad and a giant meatball. All bland. Middle of the road at best. Say it with me now Mr M. «Honey, you were right.» Oh yes… and a double charge on the credit card. Sweet.

Two stars is about all this place gets from me. I tried this place when it first opened several years ago, and was not impressed. My parents recently dragged me back there when I was back on cape for the holidays, and I can safely say that the place has not improved. They call themselves a «Mediterranean» restaurant, but all their Mediterranean food that I’ve ever tried is mediocre at best. I order a ceasar salad which was bland and had entirely way too much dressing — not impressed. The falafel platter was also less than good — improperly seasoned, bad texture, and significantly overcooked, and the tahini sauce that came with them was just bad. I’ve had much better falafels at a roadside falafel hut. I would not recommend going, certainly not if you a taste of what REAL Mediterranean is like.
