Jason turned my hair color from disaster to exactly what I hoped for. I know I’ve found a good artist when they create the perfect hair color to match my skin tone, but I know I’ve found a really great stylist when they can fix the botched work of someone else. It’s even better when they’re friendly and fun to chat with! Jason is my new go-to guy :)

I have been going here for many years and thought I would show a little appreciation with a review. The service is great, scheduling is flexible and the atmosphere very comfortable. Jason(the owner) and the staff have been there for some time and have their«regulars» — I only say this because having repeat customers speaks for itself. I enjoy catching up and talking with everyone each visit. In terms of the haircut itself — my son and I have had consistent, well executed, attentive, high quality cuts and they are always willing to squeeze me in before a business trip or some other event. All in all couldn’t be happier being a «regular» at Cowboys and Angels.

I’ve been looking for a salon that understands and knows the techniques of coloring blonde hair. After several unpleasant visits to other salons in town, I was THRILLED when a friend recommended Jason, from Cowboys and Angels Salon. Jason(the salon owner) has extensive experience with color and highlights. He transformed my brassy, overprocessed blonde hair into a beautiful, golden blonde — complete with highlights. I have never been happier! Jason does the best color in town, by far! I love getting my hair done with him so much that I see him every 3 weeks! :) Def. stop by! The customer service is great as well. :)

What is *wrong* with you people? Has the West Coast finally won and made you crazy? I wouldn’t go anywhere else for my haircut, and I can’t say enough good things about Chris. Despite the previous review that said not to give free rein to these stylists, I usually go in and let Chris work his magic, no questions asked. I’ve gotten a lot of compliments on my hair over the years, and I appreciate that he also teaches me how to do my hair by myself(is there anything worse than the day after a haircut where you have no idea how to replicate the style from the day before?). I suppose I should be grateful for the bad reviews… I can get an appointment sooner.

I just moved here. Called to ask if any one would be able to work with my hair needs. I only require a certain brand FRAMESI. I was told, without be listened to, No thank you. And they hung up on me. I could not go to this salon after such blatant bad phone etiquette. Sorry guys, you must already have enough clients.

I get color and cuts from Norma. Awesome job EVERY time. I pay to play and that would be my only problem. The dye jobs are pretty expensive. Overall great experience. It’s never really packed in there, maybe thats why they are expensive?

A great place to get your hair cut! This hair salon is not only for women. Hence the«Cowboys» part in their name. My girlfriend recommended for me to go here and I was hesitant at first, thinking I would walk into an overly feminine room. However, the atmosphere is quite neutral and the employees are friendly. I got my haircut by Jason, the store owner. He was very open and attentive to my suggestions. At times during the haircut, he would stop and ask if everything was looking as I wanted. Along with the haircut came a casual conversation that was enjoyable unlike some other barbershops where they give a few grunts when you ask them a question. They serve drinks on the side and style your hair at the end. The place is located downtown right across from the parking lot between State and Chapala, on Canon Perdido. So the location is super convenient and if you live in SB or are visiting, check this place out!

I’ve been going to Chris Coker(hair stylist who works here), for 7+ years. He’s excellent — both for cut and color. The salon is great too. Small, laid back, fun place to hang out and get your hair done. Great downtown location too. You also get more for your money here than a lot of the other salons in SB and Montecito.

I was referred to Chris Coker from a colleague who always has nice hair and went to him for a while. So, I took the referral. I’ve got rebel hair with waves and its not an easy frock to manage. I’ve gone to Chris a couple times, and he’s always a pleasure, as well, he’s an artist and takes his time with you. Just don’t be late — or you may miss the cordial glass of wine and get right to business. He’s in demand, and provides complimentary trims between major visits free of charge.

I’d been going to this place for over a year and had been recommended this place all over town. When i gave the owner free reign with my hair(i know, i know, that was dumb. But i trusted the guy, so don’t judge) and he gave me not only the worst cut i’ve ever seen and he turned my beautiful head of long hair into a short pixie cut. He lacked the knowledge of creating a nice pixie cut with a razer for texture and instead made me look like a Q-tip. On top of that he charged me for 2 cuts. That does not include the next cut i had to get a few days later to fix what he had done. It was a pretty awful experience and wish he would’ve apologized or tried to meet me half way. I’ve never been back, nor will I ever be.
