Absolutely love this place. The salsa bar is good. The lady that works in the morning is nice. They have delicious shrimp and fish tacos. They have several types of tortillas. They have a rewards program. They deliver too…

This is my new favorite taco shop and I’ve been to a lot of taco shops! They are always friendly, fast and they’ve never messed up an order! You can order online and have your food brought out to you when you arrive. Did I mention the food is excellent and the salsa is fabulous! They do a great job integrating the latest technology. Keep up the good work and excellent food

Food is delicious! We had the steak and chicken steak tacos. Very good! My son loved the bean and cheese nachos. The customer service is lacking. The store is freezing!!! Also, employees behind the counter were dumping food into their mouths. Took about 15 mins just to place an order. Would come back for the food but they need to work on their customer service!

Best barbacoa taco I’ve had on the Northside. Which is not what I expected from a place that seemed as hip as it is. Everyone in my group got a Mexican coke as well and it was a great addition to the Tacos.

So maybe it’s my fault for ordering a Fajita Bowl at a place called L Taco… but there was way too much liquid in the bowl. I gave it a 3 because the flavor of the steak rice and beans was decent. The chicken did not taste good at all. The salsas were bland and I tried 3 different kinds. My total for a fajita bowl and chips and salsa was almost $ 12 .also a tad over priced.

Went to L Taco tried their dumpster taco. I believe it was around $ 2.49. It was quite yummy beans and bacon guisado which I had no idea what that was till I moved here apparently it’s some kind of beef stew has like a gravy on it pretty good but I’d rather have chili colorado which I have no idea where to find that here it seems like it doesn’t exist anyway the taco was tasty they even give you options for what kind of flour tortilla they have they actually have more than one they even have homemade corn 1 and they also have a small salsa bar but no free chips the man that charged me was a little creepy as well as the cook in the back I’m not sure if I will return simply because of that.

Where to start. I’ve been coming to L Taco when they were first offering 49 cent tacos(I wish they still did that) & only had 3 reviews on Unilocal.Honestly it was that 49cents sign that caught my boyfriends eyes. I was skeptical to come because of the name but now we are here at least once a week. Damien does a wonderful job running the place. It is always clean(when the line isn’t long), they have Favor for delivery, happy hour, rewards card… Very up to date taco shop. Food. We’ve tried almost everything on the menu. And everything is delicious! From tacos to nachos to quesadillas even their salsa sauces are delicious. They load them up pretty good too, it’s not like other places where they skimp you on the meat and eggs. I’ve noticed that they are not as greasy as well and they have lighter options. I always have to get a bean and cheese taco and my boyfriend loves their alambre(beef and bacon, what more could you ask for). You must get the authentic Mexican tortilla. The only tortilla that I have had from them and the only one you should get. And make sure you get the guacamole sauce(only on the weekends) it is so refreshing! The only taco place that I will go to in San Antonio!

Hm. I was going to give 3 stars because my food was ok. Not the greatest and not worth driving on this side of town for. I went here because of the good ratings but what made me take away a star is due to the fact that my friends fish tacos had about an inch size of fish inside and the rest was cabbage. Lol I felt so bad because it was out Taco Tuesday and I picked this place to go to and it was ruined. We had ordered to go so we didn’t see the empty tacos until we got home. I guess it’s our fault in a way for not checking the food but then again, it should have been made better. The restaurant was very clean though so that was a plus. My L Pastor tacos were OK tasting. I really enjoyed the rice on the plate.

No star for me, won’t be going again. I got a bite of fish in these so called tacos, smh. «Puro» cabbage! I would get a bigger piece of fish at a Long Johns Silver. «L» for loss. Sorry too much hype for nada. Don’t get the fish tacos. I don’t know if I’d even bother exploring the rest of the menu.

Family came to town and we decided to give this place a go. Got to say I liked it. Lots of choices. Everything seemed very fresh and was nicely prepared. All of us ate and the only complaint I heard was that they felt the large guac should have been larger(I admit it was a bit puny but tasted good). Street Tacos were spot on and I will be back in the future.

Was in the area and looking for lunch. Found this gem! Nice quaint Lil restaurant tucked in a plaza. It had 4 stars on here so I said we definitely can’t go wrong! Glad we stopped. The staff was super nice and helpful! I even signed up to be a preferred customer! I almost ate the foil the street tacos were so delish! We will be back for sure. I will drive that 30 minutes from my house to get there!

I’m always nervous to review a taco spot because the minute I do they seem to go downhill. I’ve been going to L Taco for awhile now and so far they seem pretty consistent. First, let’s talk tortillas. I’ve been opting for the Mexican style flour and I’m going to admit it right here. This gringo doesn’t understand how we could have ever even thought what we sell in stores as mass produced flour tortillas could have ever even happened. The Mexican style tortilla is where it’s at. Thin and delicious. I don’t know what the actual difference is in the process other than making then thinner is, but I hope the world gets hip and converts fully. I’ve been hitting them up for both breakfast and lunch/dinner and so far I haven’t had a bad taco. For breakfast try the L Taco Special — steak, potato, cheese, and avocado. Add some pico de gallo and a bit of salsa(their roasted salsa is awesome) and you have a full meal in one taco. For lunch the Alhambre(did I spell that right?) will quickly become a favorite. It can be a bit greasy, but hey you would be too if you were loaded with beef fajita and bacon. The staff(I think he may be the owner because he’s there all the time) is always super friendly and helpful and quick to explain or recommend a taco when I look like I have no idea what I want. Yesterday they helped me with the Machacado which I highly recommend for breakfast. I even think their crispy tacos are worth the trip. Simple and tasty. Just like my mom made growing up, except these don’t come from a box. There have been a few places put into this location and none of them ever seemed to stick. Based in the traffic in and out and the full tables, I think L Taco might stick around for awhile. Let’s hope so. My only negative is that their chicken can be a bit dry. Not always, but sometimes it is. I’m a definite fan and now I want to have some tacos for breakfast.

Best tacos I’ve had in a long time! Moving back to San Antonio from Austin, I have to say that Torchy’s tacos has nothing on this place! They have combo meals and endless combinations to create your perfect lunch, dinner or breakfast. Online ordering and delivery is a plus. Dining in is always fun because of the great customer service, modern-décor, clean tables, salsa bar, and coffee bar during breakfast. You have plenty of choices to custom tailor your tacos, such as tortilla choices and toppings. Very authentic options, as well as modern twists on classic combos. There is also a loyalty rewards program with many coupons and discounts!

Just tried this place for the first time and oh my goodness, it was awesome. Do yourself a favor and make this your next stop for breakfast tacos. My husband and I both tried the«L Dumpster» taco. It includes bacon, egg, cheese, potato and carne gasada. They offer 3 different tortilla choices. Homemade corn, Mexican flour and a thicker flour. I got my tacos on corn and it is by far the best corn tortilla I have ever had in my life. And I’ve grown up eating tacos every weekend since I could walk. It does not break(or even get close to cracking) as I ate my fully loaded taco. It stayed in tact for every delicious bite. My husband got his on the thicker flour(I’ll call it an American tortilla). The tortilla was good, we just thought it tasted unauthentic but I’m sure most people who don’t appreciate good tacos would love this tortilla. They brought us out one of the Mexican flour to try. And this is the way to go if you don’t do corn. The tortilla is perfectly thin and slightly crispy. It was again probably the best flour tortilla I’ve ever had. The employees working this morning were absolutely fabulous! They were very friendly and extremely helpful.

Eating at the moment but dammmmmmmmn good food. Wow just had to say that I would PROUDLYCHOOSETHISRESTAURANT over other mexican fast food restaurants, heck even some sit down full on upscale eateries can’t hold a candle to this establishment. I’m from New Braunfels and let me say when it’s time for us to return for doctor visits, WEAREEATINGHERE! Adriana the hostess is friendly, genuinely sincere service professional and so basically I give them a 10+!!! Try them out

The person who made my visit to L Taco stand out was Diego. When I arrived, Diego greeted me and took my order. He was incredibly friendly, not to mention, patient. He also had a great sense of humor. I must have asked a hundred questions about the menu items. Not a native Texan, I was unfamiliar with«street tacos» for which they are famous. Diego was very knowledgeable about the menu and made some excellent suggestions. By the time he finished I think I ordered enough food to feed a family of five! Everything was fresh and delicious! I will definitely return next time I am in San Antonio!

Just when I think SA has reached maximum-taco-shop capacity, more crop up! With all the five star reviews for breakfast, I had to give it a try. Menu is a mix of classic and modernized tacos, along with plates for breakfast and lunch. My go-to bfast taco is potato, egg, and cheese, with bacon– go big or go home, right? This spot has a few specialty tacos with a bunch of different stuff thrown in. The«Dumpster» has a little bit of everything(potato, egg, bean, bacon, cheese, carne guisada) — fun mix of flavors, but I felt their carne guisada was lacking the savory punch of spices I love. The«L Taco special»(potato, beef fajita, cheese, avocado) — solid. My mom digs this taco, the creaminess of the avocado keeps it from being dry. The Norteno is a classic done well(beans, jack cheese, fajita, and guac), better with chicken than beef, or it gets too heavy to me. A better version than Las Palapas! Service is friendly and they have a loyalty program/stamp card. In addition to having a ton of different tacos, you also have your choice of THREE types of tortillas. This is almost choice overload(I dig the Harina Tex-Mex), just let me eat them already!
