This place is delicious! I eat here weekly the tacos are excellent and the owner and staff are really nice! Great quality ingredients and you get your food fast! Prices are unbeatable. The only downside is the hours they’re open so be sure you’re there to get your food before 2. Love this place!

Best breakfast tacos in Stone Oak. That’s because«Guero»(Bernardo) the owner is always on top of his business and will give you the friendliest customer greeting in town. His corn tortillas are hand made on site, and ingredients are always fresh and tasty. Kind of hidden location, and not too easy to find, but well worth the search. I always invite my out of town visitors to meet me at this place.

Best breakfast tacos in the Stone Oak area. Hands down one of my favorite breakfast places ever. In any city, any where. They got all the classic Mexican breakfast tacos. Papa con Huevo, Barbacoa, chorizo and egg, chorizo y papa, etc. etc. However, everything and I mean everything is done to perfection and under the owner’s ever watchful supervision. The owner is a great personality and an expert in what his place serves. If he offers you a recommendation, take it. You will love the food. Eggs cooked and scrambled perfectly with any choice of filling and your in breakfast bliss. The fajitas and eggs should not be missed. My personal favorite is the potato with chorizo. I’m not sure but I’m willing to bet that at this place they make their own chorizo. The flavor combination is unlike any chorizos I’ve tried. One of the best I’ve ever had and not overly greasy as many others. So so good. The Barbacoa is as good as one is going to get in the north side. It is good. But in this city, there is better to be had. However, those places are far from this area. So if you are traveling in the area, skip Las Palapas(I know, that may be blasphemous to some) stop by and grab this city’s best breakfast taco. You’ll be extremely happy you did.

Wow, can’t believe I haven’t reviewed this place!!! It is pretty much my go-to breakfast taco place in all of Texas… not just because it’s so delish, but because they do egg whites for me! Whenever I go home to San Antonio it’s a given that my family will be stopping in to pick up tacos at some point while I’m there. All of the tacos that I’ve tried are great, but I usually get egg white and potato. They are just so fresh and good quality, and drizzled with the salsa of your choice(of the many options), they are perfect. Back when I was meat-eating, I tried egg white and brisket, and egg white and chicken fajita, and these creative options were also to die for. I haven’t tried any of the non-breakfast options, and honestly may not get to them because I love the tacos so so so much. I will be back… soon and often! Love these guys.

My favorite place for breakfast in San Antonio. The owner works the register and treats you just like family… and anyone who is Mexican or grew up with Mexican friends knows that the Mexican culture keeps close family ties, and that’s how you are treated. I am always greeted with a handshake and asked how I’m doing before he even worried about the order. I cannot say enough about how kindly I have been treated here! Another nice thing… the food is delish! I always go with my gf, who is crazy about barbacoa. I get a big bowl of menudo and she orders a pound of barbacoa which we share. The one time I brought my dog we sat outside and the owner gave us bacon and scraps to feed to him while we were eating. Seriously, this place has great food and they absolutely treasure your business. If there is ever ANYTHING wrong they will correct it immediately. I love the way we are always treated like family here.

AMAZING service and delicious tacos! My new favorite taco spot! the homemade corn tortillas are to die for, can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. My boyfriend thinks the owner is better than Santa Clause just to put that into perspective for you.

When I die this is where I want to spend eternity. Just trust the owner — I think he might be nicer than the Dalai Lama.

My wife google’d «best breakfast tacos» and this place came up. After splitting six tacos among our family of four, we had already decided Guero’s lived up to our lofty hopes. Still hungry as our kids ate more than expected, I went to the counter to order more. And then a super-friendly man, who I presume was the owner, changed my life. He said he’d order for us– gratis– and sure enough he topped our earlier order with some even more amazing tacos and drinks. What you need to know is this: Order the Costra de beef. Order two. What you get is deliciously tender beef wrapped in sort of a pan-fried cheese, and it’s one of the most amazing tacos I’ve had anywhere, ever. My wife said she also liked a taco called the«Bicycle Heaven» but the kids saw to it that I didn’t even get a bite. Needless to say it was a hit, but above all I implore everyone to get the Costra de Beef. It’s incredible. Wash it all down with one of the special drinks– the mango was my favorite. I loved it. And I’m a guy who hasn’t had a suger-laden drink in many months as I usually don’t touch the stuff. The owner gave my kids some white beverage, apparently very common in Mexico although I wasn’t familiar with it, that tasted like cinnamon ice cream and I could’ve drank that all up to. Seriously, folks, this place is incredible and the owner super friendly. I can’t recommend it enough.

Why doesn’t this place have a 5 star rating people??? It’s ok to rate someone high, oh was there a little dust on the floor? Did a fly snuck in while YOU opened the door? Does the owner speak broken English?(He does) is that why you didn’t give this place a 5 star? Or was it because it hasn’t been featured on a food channel? Prices too low for you? GTFO … This place made me want to kiss a man(the owner) and I’m not gay! … Good food? Check, AUTHENTIC Mexican food? Check, good prices? Check. Near my house? Check check … Friendly staff? Triple check. Do me a favor and get yourself over there. Tell the owner(he’s always there) to order for you and you will NOT regret it… And if you order the barbacoa on flour instead of CORN tortillas. We are no longer friends.

Los Tacos Gueros is my go-to taco place when I spend the night up in Stone Oak. Located on the back side of a shopping center, just off Stone Oak Parkway, this place serves up fast and delish tacos that’ll make any taco lover happy and they serve most of their menu all day. Head up to the counter to put in your order and get your number. Select a seat and then make your way over to their killer salsa bar. They range from mild to melt your face, with my personal favorite being the super spicy green salsa, yum. They offer up fountain drinks as well as bottled beverages. My go to tacos are the chilaquiles tacos or the potato egg cheese and guac taco. The staff is friendly and it’s not unusual to see the owner walking around, talking to guests, and warning people when it comes to the heat level of certain salsas(ie: that spicy green I mentioned earlier). So there you have it, another notch in the olé taco tracker. I love my breakfast tacos and Los Tacos Gueros does not disappoint. I’ll be sure and swing by next time I spend the evening up in Stone Oak… see ya soon!

The owner makes it where you feel like your on the food network! He was awesome and made the experience that much better! The tacos are UHAMAZING!!!

Wanted to grab a Mexican breakfast and this place was close by. It’s set up more as a fast food place than a diner, but it’s what you would expect of a place in a mall. I got the barbacoa plate, which was good. I like the salsa bar and enjoyed the breakfast. The tortilla isn’t as good as some of the other places I have been, but the food was good and the owner was very friendly.

Told the owner(?) that it was my first time in and he ordered for me. I asked him what I was getting and he said, «it’s a surprise, let me know if you don’t like it» One trashcan taco and one beef costra. That costra was . seriously. They put a little burn on the cheese before it goes inside. My husband LOVES him some trashcan tacos and these were just the way he remembered.(He’s a San Antonio native) Made myself do a review so I’d remember what I had next time

There are an abundance of good breakfast taco places in San Antonio. Several are worth driving quite a ways to get to. I really like the ones that offer very non-commercial or are not chain type restaurant tacos. Guero’s is one of those. I have several favorite tacos here: Trash can Bicycle heaven Chorizo & potato with cheese To name a few. Their salsa bar is very good. Always look forward to coming here!

Popped in for a quick bite. Ordered the fajita beef taco. The place was clean and not too busy for lunch. After being helped by a friendly young man I sat for less than 2 min waiting on my to-go order. Instead of calling me back to the counter, it was brought directly to me. Customer service here was awesome, very personable. And preparation for food was fast. My beef fajita taco was yummy. The beef was tender and juicy the taco was soft. Not chewy like some reheated tacos can get. I really like this place and will return if I’m in this area again.

This place rocks my socks! There are so many choices for breakfast tacos here and almost everyone of them I’ve tried have been fan-friggin-tastic! I’ll admit, there is a huge chunk of the menu I’ve never bothered to try because this is one of those few places that make something so well, you can’t justify trying anything else. My favorite couple of tacos here are the Trashcan taco which has a little bit of everything and boy is it gooooood! Carne Guisada, Refried Beans, Potatoes, Cheese & even more that I can’t recall. I also like the Chorizo, Potato & Bean taco which sounds odd but the owner recommended it to me and now its one of my GO-TO tacos! Yum. This place is kinda tucked away near Stone Oak Pkwy. The inside is pretty basic, moderately small and includes a salsa bar for patrons. I’ve talked to the owner a few times and he was pretty cool but he seems to have his plate full most of the time so don’t expect to get his life story. If you’re looking for quantity i.e. the biggest breakfast tacos in town, this is not your gig but if you want some quality breakfast tacos and pretty quick service too, come and check this place out. I love that this place is called Guero’s b/c I suspect it got its name for being in an area with almost exclusively elitist caucasians. Well played. :D
