First experience here was great. As I walked in the smell of a freshly cleaned establishment hit me, which is important to me. I received my chips and salsa and they were perfectly fried and delicious! I ordered the flauta plate. One way I know if I’m going to like the place is by their rice and beans. Perfection. They brought back a nostalgia feeling of eating at my grandmother’s. Service was friendly. All in all good place in my book.

Good was great! We had the Barbacoa, tripas tacos Gorditas and Chicken Monterey. The Service was bad. our server got our order wrong twice. I would recommend this place. It’s different than your regular Mexican place.

I like Café Style eateries and La Dona’s is that. As I approached the front door… I passed the outdoor patio tables and their Street Taco Cart … it was aromatic and tempting, but I choose to go indoors. The hostess was friendly and led us to a table. It was not at all crowded. Our waiter brought strip style chips and salsa and took our drink order. The beverages are a very reasonable at $ 1.29-$ 1.79 with Ice Tea at $ 1.59. The salsa tasted fresh and was medium hot. We both ordered the Chile Relleno’s(Poblano pepper stuffed with either ground beef or Panela cheese((queso de canasta)) $ 10.99 each). I had the Panela cheese which was excellent and my friend got the ground beef and said it was very good. These were served as a main course and the plate came with refried beans, Mexican rice and shredded lettuce. AND … every inch of the plate had generous portions of every item. It was all very tasty and filling. I asked for corn tortillas and was delighted to discover they were homemade. If you are hungry… this is your spot! La Dona has another plus… it stays open until 7:00am to 2:00am Sun-Thurs and 7:00am to 4:00am Fri– Sat. So late nite or very early morning La Doña’s has you covered for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Service… we had to search for our waiter … the other waiters searched for our waiter … the hostess was perplexed. Uhmmmm… could he have gone to his car to nap? LOL … we will never know as he did finally show up with a smile looking refreshed and oblivious to those who would judge his absence. I found this a bit amusing as I didn’t suffer a lack of service despite the disappearances. I don’t think that server is in his future, but he was cute and had a good personality. I will return as I am looking forward to trying some items on the breakfast menu. Authentic Tex-Mex!

They make their own corn tortillas. Chorizo and eggs are not listed on the menu, but they do have them. Just OK, or if you are not able to eat spicy Mexican food. Nice clean place.

100% recomendable.

Fantastic chilaquiles and service is always top notch! Go to place for breakfast. The menudo is also some of the best in town.
