The bartenders are nice, and the bar itself is comfortable and spacious. Also: best damn sweet potato fries I’ve ever had.

By FAR the worst sports bar I’ve been to in my life. And that’s saying a lot. I literally had to wait myself from the moment I stepped foot into the place. There was no staff member to greet me, nor would my presence had been felt if I did not take the initiative to ask for a menu from the bar tender. The wait staff seemed a bit more interested in socializing with the«regulars» opposed to actually tending to their tables. Anywho, I sat myself at a high table and nominated the bartender to be my waitress. That didn’t even last 10 mins. Before you know it, I’m flagging down some other waitress who was eating with the customers(lol) just to ask for my drink I had requested 10 mins ago.(Maybe the bartender had to pee you say?) I scan the bar area and shes smothered by two male customers having a beer with them. So professional. Anywho, I place my order with the lady who fetched my drink(I ordered the Combo BBQ plate with ribs brisket Mac n cheese and corn). Took roughly 20 mins to come out. I was impressed! The meal looked delicious; the Mac n cheese especially. The brisket was nice and tender, not too fatty. I would definitely have it again. The RIBS on the other hand??? DISGUSTING. The middle portion of each rib I was given was relatively cold. Like not even luke warm! The Mac n cheese saved the day, it was outstanding. The corn hit the spot as well. I’d give the meal 4.5÷10.($ 12 for the plate) Over the course of said meal, I had to flag down my waitress multiple times just to request a refill(I was parched), and ask for silverware. I’ve had some pretty crappy service before, but this has by far has to be the worst in town. Everything was completely out of wack; no structure whatsoever. But, I truly only came to watch the football game, and the abundance of TVs accomplished the task for me. I’m very big on Customer Service, being as I’ve worked in the field before. I was looking to make someone’s night by leaving a $ 50 tip this evening, but I couldn’t even pony up $ 3 after being subjected to this kind of service. Honestly. I definitely wouldn’t return. Best of luck to you all who venture into this place of «business».(Mind you, I took the time to write this review and carefully proofread it; all while waiting for my check I requested 20MINSAGO! Time to flag down another waitress, smh)

Glad to see this place doing good. They’re a great bar and truly care about their patrons. They listen to their customers and employees. The serve you quickly and the prices are very fair. Good food too!

Definitely a cool place but you just have to go at the right time. I went at about 3:30 pm to do a little day drinking/relaxing and the bartender had this«don’t talk to me I don’t want to be here» look written all over her. She wasn’t very friendly to anybody and it was a big turn off. The beer was good and cold and the atmosphere was ok for it being the afternoon just wish it had been more of a welcoming scene.

THEBARTENDERTURNEDUSDOWNBECAUSEWEHAVEOUTOFSTATEID’S?! We love coming to this place, because it’s one of the only bars in town that sells Deschutes beer on draft. We just recently moved here from Oregon so any chance we get to have a beer from our home town is amazing, we come here all the time for that specific reason. I’ve never given a bad review in my entire life, but this is unacceptable. She obviously needs to retake her TABC test. We are both bartenders ourselves and have never ever sent away an out of state vistor. I guess not everyone has that«southern hospitality.»

This place has decent bar food, for a decent price. I had the wings tonight and my companion had the tenders. The best part was certainly the fries, but the meat was pretty good. This is the first time I’ve been here since they started serving food, and they seem to be doing well. I will try them again, soon. Maybe next time, a steak!

First time here. Really liked the openess and the sports on the numerous tv’s. Service was horrible. Asked what beers on tap and got an attitude from waitress. Our appetizer order was incorrect. We were going to order more food, but decided not to when we asked for plates and got more attitude. Went to another location. Not sure I will return. Appetizer was extremely expensive for what you get.

On the outside it looks like it is just a dive bar. Once we got inside it was very roomy and the large televisions were great and you could watch any sporting event on that day. The staff were very welcoming and very polite. The food was great, especially the bbq plate! The fried pickles were amazing as well.

Eat the barbequed anything. I’ve had the pulled pork and the brisket, and they’re both awesome.

Contacted by owner to apologize for non service during my last visit. I gave a 1-star based on no service(walked out and went somewhere else to eat) but I will up it to a 3-star based on contact from owner. Owner obviously cares about customers so I’ll give this restaurant another go should I find myself in the San Angelo area again.

We went here once during our 6 month stint in town. It was ok they had typical beer and liquor selection. Cloudy(bad ventilation) and a bit dirty inside but hey it’s a bar. Didn’t try the food as we were just there for drinks. Seems like a local place or routine groups so didn’t feel to welcome. Great HUGE TVs so excellent for sports.

Good bar but the irish theme is not what it is, its a typical texan bar full of football on the tvs, good service and beer though

This was my spot for years when they played Texas Hold em tournaments. and it was called Scorz. I came back to visit friends and family in San Angelo and stopped by my old stomping grounds and had to make a stop here. Its been at least 6 years since I had been and they added new tables and it was awesome now that they dont allow smoking anymore. BUT. that being said the bartender(female blonde) was outside for a good amount of time rather than serving drinks. Granted it was a Sunday but most of the tall tables were full. I give her credit though for refilling our drinks without asking as soon as she came back from her smoke out back looked like. This is the kind of place that no matter how much it changes you’ll still come back, especially with all the new TVs they added. :)

Shenanigans thrives in the niche of dive-sport-bars. In a world where speakeasies thrive(well in the real world, not San Angelo) ande bars try to make themselves more and more exclusive. Shenanigans stands out, summarized in a word, unpretentious. Aside from ridiculously cheap drinks, they allow you to bring your own food in, and even provide bar food for free on occasion. I have no idea how this business model stands alone, but if you’re saying I can bring my own wings, chips and anything else I can think of, hang out with friends and catch a game while enjoying cheap drinks, I’m not going to question you. Just don’t be expecting anything fancy.(It’s located in a strip mall across from the HEB, making it just as hard to find as actual speakeasies)
