Do NOT get the margarita(«strawberita»). It is super sugary and not tasty. The food was okay — I got a sampler of 3 dishes(gumbo, crawfish étouffée and something else) — and I only really liked the étouffée. The service was good and friendly though, and location/layout is enjoyable, so stars for that!

Decent but not outstanding seafood place. It benefits from a nice interior. The fish and oysters are just okay for the area though and the location on Bourbon street is either a benefit or a detriment depending on how you feel about it.

Great location…(duh, it’s on Boubon Street). The staff were pleasant. I sat at the bar; which wasn’t crowded for a Saturday night. Nice ambience. Of course, no one was from NOLA, so conversations come fairly easily. There was no rush on the drink order. Actually my food came before my drink did. That’s a no-no! I ordered a side salad and my entrée was the blackened shrimp. Over all the food was delicious. This place is a welcomed oasis from the hustle and bustle of Boubon Street.

LOVE this place! I randomly found it during a previous trip to New Orleans and made a point to come back! The food is delicious and the servers are so nice! Everything we have tried has been delicious and the jambalaya is incredible! The crawfish lettuce wraps are totally different and so good. I will definitely keep coming back.

There was a group of about 10 of us and we got seated fairly quickly. We had a new server so I was patient with his service, but I can’t say that about everyone in my party unfortunately. He was actually still really good considering he was thrown all 10 of us and very funny. We started with the Nola bites which were delicious. The crawfish wraps were alright. Lacked flavor. I ordered the creole pasta. Very flavorful and filling. A few people ordered the snow crab legs. To me, they looked like a disappointment compared to the restaurant I had crab legs at a few nights before. They were a lot smaller and the shell was flimsy so it was a task for them to eat it. I also ordered half a dozen raw oysters, but it never came out. I was sad about that bc I was really looking forward to it. They originally charged me for it even when I told them I never got it, but took it off once mentioned it again before paying. The Jameson old fashion tasted great. The muddled orange definitely helped balance out the bitterness. The only thing I have to complain about, which wasn’t even that big of a deal anyway, was when my boss called the restaurant, prior to us going there, to ask if they can take card payments over the phone, the hostess said yes. But when it came time to pay(our work was paying for our dinner but boss lady stayed at the hotel that night), they told us they couldn’t take payments over the phone. I ended up just paying for the whole dinner and got reimbursed by my work later, but still. It would be nice if everyone could be on the same page for future references.

This place is amazing. I love to try new and local foods. My meal was one of the top 5 foods I’ve ever had in my life! I had the shrimp stuffed with crabmeat over Cajun shrimp linguini. TONS of shrimp. The service was great, everyone was very attentive. The manager, Mark, was very helpful as well. The gumbo and jambalaya were outstanding! I can’t wait to go back! I had an appetizer and my meal. I just had water to drink and my bill was $ 32.00, just to give you an idea, but it was worth every penny!

Came here late, just to get oysters. Raw oysters in a half shell were superb and tasty, it was all they had, the kitchen was closed so no charbroiled for me.

Wandered into this gem while walking Bourbon St. So glad I did! Our server Nadia was great! We took her recommendations for just about everything. We had grilled oysters that were to die for, the trio was good… But the shrimp and grit cake dish was THEBEST! The name on the menu I can’t quite recall, but my goodness was it delicious! The drinks ware flowing and filled to the rim. It was the all around Bourbon Street New Orleans experience! I will be back!

We were looking for a great place for dinner on our last night in NOLA, and Unilocalers said THIS was the place… we made reservations and showed up at the appointed time. Seating was quick and very near the front windows(really just a window size opening to Bourbon Street… giving us an excellent view of both the street and its built-in entertainment, and the goings on of the strip joint across the street(one of the people in our group had heard of strip joints, but never seen one… so he was glazed over most of the night… but i digress). Our waitress was simply awesome, as an aside. Total sass, funny, and sharp. And a good waitress on top of all that. We ordered our drinks and a NOLA Bites appetizer(and THAT was truly a winner!!!) while we decided what we were going to do. The girls decided to do the NOLA thang and go with a big bowl of crayfish — others ordered fish, while I opted for good ol’ fashioned NOLA style ribs. The meal was, by all accounts, da bom. I’m not sure if anything could have been better. The ribs were decadent, the crayfish were consumed with glee, and the staff was just on top of things. Definitely recommended and should be a mandatory stop on all NOLA trips, imho.

Located on bourbon st, this place has some really great Cajun/creole dishes. I had the crawfish brûlée or soufflé, I don’t know what’s the difference :/but it was scrumptious! Plus when you check-in through Unilocal, you get a free appetizer! FOOD: 5⁄5 SERVICE: 5⁄5 AMBIANCE: 5⁄5 PRICE: $$

I have eaten here more than a handful of times. Still my favorite places on Bourbon St to get craw fish. Both times I went it was $ 12 per order and they are so delicious! The second time I went we got an order of fresh and baked oysters. Both were amazing and delicious! This place has great prices and great food. I would easily recommend my friends to come here if they ever came to visit and party. The servers were super nice and friendly. They always came by to ask how we were going during our meal and if we needed anything else. They made a mistake on our Oyster order and gave us 12 when we only ordered 6, thankfully they gave us all 12 to eat and just charged us for what we ordered which was pretty awesome. I look forward to visiting New Orleans again and eating here.

This is a great location on Bourbon with balcony seating and reasonable prices. We had the crawfish queso blanco to start. It was creamy and had plenty of crawfish. Hubby had the trio which consisted of a cup of crawfish étouffée, chicken and andouille gumbo, and red beans and rice. Everything was very good. I especially liked the étouffée, and I’m picky! I played it safe with a fried shrimp po-boy. Plenty of shrimp, and I had the sweet potato fries. Very much enjoyed both. Got a discount for being local. Service was friendly and responsive. We will come back here for sure.

We stopped here for our last meal in NOLA — the menu looked tasty so we decided to have lunch. It wasn’t very busy when we went so service was pretty normal, not too slow, not too fast. Honestly not much stands out about this place other than the fact that my husband got the sauteed crab claws appetizer, and wow. Not only was it really tasty(according to him, my shellfish allergy kept me from trying it), but it had crab claws in the double digits. He thoroughly enjoyed it and it is pretty much the main reason this restaurant got 4 stars instead of 3. Sadly, neither of us can remember what he got for an entrée — probably because the crab claws out shined anything else he ate. I got the the blackened fish of the day(red fish), and it was pretty darn good. The spices weren’t at all overwhelming, it was very complimentary to the flavor of the fish. The jambalaya that came with it was really tasty as well. Based on our experience, I would recommend stopping by.

We stumbled in here as we had been in NOLA for over 10 hours and my boyfriend had not had any oysters yet. Apparently this was a travesty that couldn’t go on a second longer. A little worse for the wear due to Bourbon St., we just walked in here with no knowledge of the place besides the fact that they had oysters. He ordered a dozen oysters and I ordered the sauteed crab claws. The crab claws were an appetizer and came out first, despite me ordering them as my meal. Oh well, no biggie. They were smaller than I am used to on the East coast, but still very good. The garlic vinaigrette that they were in was hands down the best thing I ate in NOLA. This sauce should be put on everything! If they bottled it, I would buy so much of it and give it out as Christmas gifts. The oysters however didn’t show up and our waitress disappeared. As it had been over 20 minutes since we had seen her and the waitress for the table next to us was very attentive and constantly walking by, my boyfriend signaled her and asked if she could get our waitress for us. We told her the situation and she explained that the oysters are shucked to order and the shucker was likely behind. Satisfied, we waited some more. Then suddenly a check is deposited on the corner between us. We turn to look at it and our waitress uses our distraction to take off in the opposite direction. My first drive-by checking! So we think this is odd as we still haven’t received all of our food, but they are on the bill, so he is satisfied that they will just be super fresh. That is until the other waitress comes up and tells us our waitress never put the oysters in the system. Which then confuses us more as they are on the bill. Pretty much the second waitress saved the day and gets them entered and brings them out and has our initial waitress come out and sort of apologize for the computer dropping our order, not that she never cared to check if we got the food we ordered. I think with a different waitress this place would be really great. I loved my crab and he said these were the best oysters he had in NOLA despite the wait.

Great service Slow to get food although it’s probably the New Orleans normal slow pace compared to California Bland food with no flavor. Fried oysters were fresh but still had an occasional shell bit or two that was fried along with the oyster. Slightly stale French bread and no aioli. So the Oyster Po Boy sandwich was dry and bland. Worst Chicken sausage Jambalaya… Dry and without any slow cooked stew flavor. Soggy French Fries I wouldn’t come back here again. The only reason that I am even giving two stars is because of the friendly waiter

Below are the reason this place gets four stars: 1. Everything we ordered tasted great 2. They had no problems making a special drink for us that was not on their menu 3. When the manager heard us say the food was not hot when it came to the table he immediately corrected the problem 4. The drinks were strong I say go check it out!

Ordered the sautéed crab claws, crawfish étouffée a dirty dirty martini and a mojito. The staff was amazing. Best service yet! The sauce in the sautéed crab claws is like liquid crack. Lol it’s bursting with flavor!!! This is a must in New Orleans!!! We will be back tomorrow and the next day until we leave :) Then we will plan on coming back again. ***11/15*** Last day here. Ordered sautéed crab claws and King crab claws. Still amazing. Going to miss this place. And RAYMOND(gotcha baabey)

It pains me to have to give a place in New Orleans only 2 stars. I LOVE this city and would love to own a home there one day, however, once in a while you come across a place that just isn’t very good. Pier 424 was the only place without a crowd around dinnertime on Bourbon. We went in anyway since we wanted beer and gumbo. We decided to split an order of peeled shrimp and we each ordered a cup of gumbo. Our waitress said they had EVERYBEERINEXISTENCE but they didn’t have two of the kinds we requested(which are available pretty much everywhere, mind you). The gumbo was… Okay. Not very spicy and kind of lacking in flavor all around. The shrimp was good but they were actually prawns(which might freak out some people due to the eyes and all). The beer, although in a bottle, was warm. Service was spotty all around. This place could be great if they improved their menu. It’s a huge space and could definitely hold a ton of people on the always busy Bourbon Street.

Raymond is the man! He took care of us at the bar last night, and really impressed us! He was working and shucking oysters the whole time, but continued to chat with us the entire time! Not to mention, they were the biggest an beat oysters I’ve ever had! We also tried a fried Alligator appetizer which was great! For dinner Raymond recommended the Red Beans and Rice with fried chicken… also a great recommendation! We were tourists in New Orleans, but we like to really experience places and not just hop from one tourist spot to the next just to say we’ve been there(though on some occasions we’re guilty of that)…but we feel like sitting at the bar of Pier 424 chatting with Raymond and listening to the street performers outside, and the amazing food and drinks there, really gave us that great New Orleans experience we were looking for! *added bonus — we got a free appetizer just for checking in on Unilocal! Thanks!
