Beaudreaux’s was the first place we ate after arriving in New Orleans. We had a few hours to kill before we could check into the hotel, so we decided to wander the French Quarter a bit. Beaudreaux’s popped up at just the right time, we were hungry! We started with the Boudin balls at the recommendation of our server — they were awesome! I didn’t have anything else like it my entire stay in New Orleans. Delicious, dipped in stone ground mustard. I had one of their specialty po boys, made with roasted pork. I don’t have a menu to look at so I don’t remember what it was called, but it was T-A-S-T-Y. I think this was the only time I didn’t have a seafood centric meal, and it was totally worth it. I will definitely return there, the back patio area looked nice, maybe for a late dinner/some late evening Bourbon St. shenanigans!

This was literally the first place the gf and I found still serving food the night we landed in the French Quarter. Our plane got in late coming from Seattle, and after we dropped our bags off at Hotel St. Marie we headed out on Bourbon street for some good food before partaking in alcoholic debauchery. When we first walked in, we had to stand at the door for quite some time before someone came to greet us, but that was fine because there’s SOMUCH to look at in this place that it was almost better to be standing at the doorway than sitting right underneath it all. The gf had been to New Orleans before, but I hadn’t… so as soon as we sat down she ordered me the«state drink»: the Hurricane. I’ll say it — it was overpriced and wasn’t very potent! I was slightly disappointed as the buzz surrounding the drink had me anticipating greatness.(My opinion was changed later but again, that’s another review entirely). Unfortunately without a copy of the menu I can’t remember what we had for the dinner but I do know that it was delicious! And I’m not just saying that because all I had had up to that point was airplane food — it was really good. Very juicy. I had this really great pork sandwich(no it wasn’t a po-boy — it was called something else), that I was unable to find anywhere else in New Orleans — I’m guessing it was a house specialty. The appetizers — which upon further google investigation are called Boudin Balls — were spectacular. So flavorful and unlike anything else in New Orleans. The service was okay, I don’t remember him much other than he was very nice to answer our inquiry about the Boudin Balls before ordering them. So I suppose had it not been for him, and his willingness to assist, we might not have gotten those balls — and we both could have left there disappointed! So yeah for the service! I’m saying we should have gone back, but we never did. We tried so many different places while we were there, but I’m fairly certain when we go back I will be hitting up Bourdreaux’s Backyard. If for nothing else, I gotta have his balls!

Good food and good atmosphere for being on Bourbon Street. Once you enetered, you almost forgot where you were. I had a cajun pasta dish that was completely yummy.

Red fish with Cajun spices is good, they’re subtle and not too biting. Other dish were the pork chops, moist but a little tough, possibly over cooked. The atmosphere is great. Would suggest this place to many friends.

Their oyster and spinach bisque is to die for! Getting ready to call the chef for the recipe, hopefully they will give it to me! :-) Service was excellent, after our flight and check in we were starving and were aimlessly walking around bourbon looking for food. We stopped in and everybody greeted us with a smile(LOVE Southern Hospitality). We had never been to New Orleans so they were really helpful in telling us the good dive places around there to go, and what to see. I had their raw oysters and oyster & spinach bisque and my boyfriend had their gumbo… everything was FAAAANtastic!

My husband and came here on a whim after canceling our fancy dinner plans on Christmas day. We were not disappointed. We ordered both raw and the baked oysters and both were delicious. The baked ones were pretty filling, but didn’t stop me from continuing the meal with a classic muffuletta — toasted sandwich with meat, cheese and olive tapenade — and my husband from ordering the alligator sausage. He said it was not too greasy and had great flavor. Delicious all-around, a very solid N’awlins meal. And the service was very good — friendly, helpful and quick — especially considering most places went went had TERRIBLE service. Not Boudreaux’s. Two thumbs up!

Man was I hungover when I got here. I met my buddies were at the bar and we sat there for lunch. I was lame and just got a burger which was decent. The bartender was really nice and soft-spoken. He looks like Jay Cutler. I asked him if he «ever gets that». He said no but he does get Frodo. So we called him Frodo. I was so out of it that I was mesmerized by him shucking oysters. I asked him how many they go through and he told me that on a Saturday they’ll go through 700 oysters. So, if you like oysters, this may be a good place to go.

This food was so good. Amazing. Delicious. Ridic. We walk in to charming service and we’re the only ones in there(it has only been open 5 weeks and we were in at odd hours). I get my menu and I’m feeling a muffaletta and my mom a burger. We’re pretty starvin so we order an appetizer. Now before I describe the food, let me tell you I was not expecting what I got. The place is nice but really casual and funky. Nets on the ceiling, etc. So we order this portabella stuffed mushroom appetizer. It comes out and I’m in awe. The thing is huge and beautiful. Then I dig in and it’s DELICIOUS. This is the food I’ve come to love in Louisiana. The flavor, the spice, it’s perfect. Some of the best stuff I ever put in my big mouth. Then our meal comes. I hate salt so I don’t why I ordered a salty sandwhich but it was really good. The french fries it came with were bangin. I could only eat half because I’m retarded but what I did eat was absolutely tasty. My mom and I eat a lot of burgers. Burgers and fries are us. I took a bite of this burger and I can not explain how good it was. My mom and I agree it could possible be one of the best we’ve eaten. This includes Jamaica, Belize, Germany, everywhere we’ve been. It had this sweet bourbon glaze and it was juicy and fresh. Fresh meat is key. I could write a thesis on the taste this burger had but I’m sure you get the picture. I didn’t order a drink besides water so I can’t comment on how much their drinks are, sorry y’all. But about the crawfish that comes on the platter… if you don’t like crawfish you are in the wrong state. Get outta here. Shoo. You don’t have to eat it, but you should. Sucker was tasty! Our meal came to about 37 I think. 20 for our meals, 8 for the appetizer, and my mom got a drink and the tip. Not bad for eating on bourbon. OH! Btw it has an outside courtyard and when they’re done it will seat 600. Good to know if you want a place for private parties or a place with great food but a lot of space so you don’t wait long. :)

The place was decent, a bit overpriced for what you get, $ 10 for a bloody mary, it was a pretty good one though. The service was great and everyone who worked there was very hospitable. But beware they put a decoration crawfish on everything, my vegetarian friend wasn’t too psyched about that.
