This place was great. The best cocktails I had in New Orleans, and great small plates of food. It’s on the fancy side, but not obnoxiously so(hellooo Sazerac bar). If you love great cocktails, this is the one place you should not miss in New Orleans.

The Ramos Gin Fiz is absolutely divine! Great spot for cocktails and proper conversation. The quality, service and complexity of the cocktail menu is one of a kind. Will definitely return when we visit NOLA again.

Great place for well crafted cocktails at a Napoleon themed bar. If you’re looking for loud noise and a party atmosphere, this isn’t your place. The bar is small and very subdued. The focus is on the cocktails. They aren’t cheap, but you get what you pay for. I recommend the Napoleon Complex or the Ramos Gin Fizz(their highlight). If you’re interested in a cocktail tour of the quarter, you should make this place one of your stops.

Ah yes, come for happy hour! Those $ 3 pimm’s cups are to die for and the bartender Paul is oh so charming. Stay for the mussel’s and try all three varieties. My favorite ones are the spicy mussels. Such a beautiful bar and don’ t forget to visit the outdoor courtyard as well. The list of cocktails are amazing and you better try some! The Letite de Onca is a must try with its cachaca«prata.» You definitely won’t be disappointed with the Empire Bar.

Terrific respite in the quarter. The New Orleans cocktail standards are excellent and the bar menu superb. Enough innovation behind the bar to make a NOLA old blood restaurant not just relevant but desirable.

We had a fantastic experience at the Empire Bar today! After a long, hot afternoon strolling around the city we stopped in for happy hour. $ 3 mussels and truffled fries and $ 3 Pimm’s Cups were the absolute best. Honestly. I don’t know that there’s a better happy hour in the city this summer. I’m so sad we waited so long to come try it out, and I really, really hope they have other seasonal offers like this. I’ll be their best customer! As a local, it got me in the door and it will keep me coming back. Our service was stellar and absolutely worth pointing out as well. We had a great time chatting with the bartender who did a great job of pointing out some of the highlights of the bar to us. I’m thrilled to have found a new(old) favorite restaurant bar to take friends from out of town. Good job Empire Bar, you’ve won over a new convert!

Been to the Empire Bar many times since Broussard’s reopened after renovations and have always enjoyed. Now they have a happy hour with a selection of mussels, frog legs, rabbit, and other great things. Happy hour starts at 4pm, friendly staff Paul and Sean are the bartenders and always do a great job. Great setting looking out on a fantastic patio the best in the Quarter.
