This place is , their brunch menu and bottomless mimosas were amazing. Definitely try the burger and don’t miss the crab sides and we also did try the special of the day. The staff here, absolute sweethearts! We sat closer to the bar and it felt very private will definitely come back and visit!

Absolutely perfect group dinner spot with the taste of New Orleans. Started with an open bar and passing variety of hors d’oeuvres generously offered by the staff on a picturesque big easy patio. Dinner served in a long adjacent dining room with windows facing the courtyard. Perfect setting. Delicious dinner started with a citrus avocado salad that was fresh and tasty. Next came Filet Mignon Dauphine with Yukon gold mashed potatoes and mushroom demi-glacé along with grilled long line fish. Finished with a Bananas Fosters Cheesecake. Delicious!

Beautiful restaurant. Delicious, but my fish(Caribbean Long Line) was very very salty. But we enjoyed the restaurant in general, and would return. Quite a romantic setting.

Note: bar-only review since I didn’t eat anything. One of the better bars I’ve been to in New Orleans, they’re working the same old-school image as many of the other pricier places but unlike those places they actually serve the drinks to the classic specifications. New Orleans is supposed to be a Sazerac town, so I ordered that and was served a textbook example made just right with an expert absinthe rinse and toasted orange twist. I can’t remember what else we ordered, but I recall that every time a drink came out it tasted just the right strength and feeling the right temperature. Service was pretty quick as well and the bartenders are friendly but they don’t let it slow down the service. I would go here again next time I’m in the area.

The service here was not what I would have expected considering the cost to dine, but it was Father’s Day so maybe it was just a busy day for them. Anyways, the food was absolutely amazing. You HAVE to try the fried chicken sweet potato biscuit if you go for Sunday brunch. My husband and I are both from the South and it was the best chicken biscuit either of us had ever had. I had the Napoleon Benedict. It was great, but my husband’s steak and eggs was the best steak I’ve ever tasted(and I don’t even care for steak that much). It was so tender and so flavorful! We are on our honeymoon down here and this was an excellent restaurant for the occasion. The jazz ensemble even played an Elvis song for us!

One of the best dining experiences I have ever had! The food was magnificent and the service top notch, especially my server Jacob. Actually, every person on the staff treated me like I was a judge on Top Chef and they did everything to make my meal memorable. This was definitely the highlight of my trip, and I can’t wait to come here again next year! Probably will do the Sunday Jazz Brunch next year.(I had planned to go this year, but it didn’t work out.)

My husband and I planned a New Orleans trip for our anniversary and decided to celebrate with the Jazz brunch on Sunday. I made a reservation a few days before and even received a call the day before confirming this reservation-super easy. My husband and I tried to dress nicely(I would recommend this since those dressed casually looked very out of place). The place itself is very pretty and seeing a table with women in work out gear killed the vibe a bit. The food was soooo good! I started with the turtle soup and had the steak and eggs as an entrée(seriously delicious). My husband and I also got the bottomless mimosas! They kept them coming :) A jazz band goes around to each table and will play something per your request. I asked for«something romantic» and they did not fail. They played a French song that sounded beautiful. Overall great experience and big thanks to our waiter Brian! He was awesome!

I was easily able to get a reservation for brunch at 11:15 on a Sunday morning the week before we arrived. They called to confirm the day before which is always good. We had really good service the whole time. We opted for the Bottomless Mimosas which was a fun touch for a fancier restaurant. Our drinks were never empty. The Red Chili Glazed Fried Chicken Biscuit was the best! The biscuit was moist and flavorful and all of the flavors blended perfectly. The Chicken and Waffles was a generous portion — a little spicy and a little sweet, definitely worth ordering. The Steak and Eggs had awesome potatoes with it. Guests were dressed both casual and a little dressy – the casual people looked a bit of of place, but everyone at the restaurant was welcoming. The jazz trio was a fun touch and really entertained the larger groups. The ambiance was lovely and overall I would go back for sure!

Fabulous décor and awesome and attentive service. A nice place to enjoy mothers day. I am disappointed they don’t enforce the dress code. It was a nice day so we decided to enjoy the courtyard for a moment before taking our seats inside the main dining area. For starters, we ordered the shrimp special and crab cakes. Everyone loved both. The shrimp was small but delicious. The poor man’s po’boy was delicious as well as the chicken and waffles. The chicken and waffles look small at first but it was filling enough but $ 24 for an egg waffle and two small pieces of chicken LOL. Loved the jazz musicians that come around to each table. The only disappointed was the banana fosters. We ordered one for the table to share but he made four. It wasn’t table-side, more like across the-the room-side. Overall, everything was great, food, service, ambiance. I just didn’t click with this place and probably won’t come back.

The most elegant meal of our week-long trip! The room is simply gorgeous. Come dressy if you can. The food was equally impressive — our best overall meal of the trip. We started with the scallops and ravioli which even turned my 13-year old into a scallop lover. We also had the crab coquette which was like a delicious crab cake with a unique twist. I also had the turtle soup — which was my only turtle soup of the trip. It was outstanding. My wife had the gin fizz which she says was«to die for». Onto the entrees: several of us had the long-line fish of the day which was great. The grilled pineapple, sticky rice, grilled fish, fried plantains and a black bean sauce was delicious — three of us had this dish and each raved equally. My wife had the chicken with creole corn, smoked oysters and spiced tomato jam — it was rich … but very, very good. Two kids split the filet which they handled in the kitchen for us. Super soft, great mashed potatoes — and sported a portabella mushroom with crab for a nice twist. All fantastic. Dessert — had to go with bananas foster and were not let down with the table side preparation. We also had the coconut cream brûlée — never had that preparation on a classic dish. We polished that off too. Great service. The back patio is gorgeous if you want a quiet outdoor space in the French Quarter. This was an outstanding meal and experience!

AMAZINGTASTE, PLATES&DRINK! The staff was friendly, courteous and welcoming. We sat on the courtyard, it has a nice ambiance. We started with the Candied Porn Belly & Crème Fraiche then The Crème Asparagus with Crab Meat and our entrée was the BBQ Shrimp & Grits. AMAZING. This is our favorite restaurant in NOLA

Ate here on our first night in New Orleans. The service was super friendly and attentive, very professional yet welcoming. Dining room had beautiful décor. On to the food and drink. I had my first ever Sazerac which is a NO invented cocktail. Quite a strange taste and it is bright red. It wasn’t really my cup of tea but hey, when in Rome… Food was a salad with wonderfully fresh avocado followed by a double sized portion of seared scallops that I saw on the appetizer menu. It wasn’t a problem to make this switch. Add a couple glasses of Sancerre and it made for a great first meal on our vacation.

I dined here for the Sunday Jazz brunch. The chef cooked me up a delicious vegan friendly meal! The building is stunning, the food was amazing, staff were so friendly and the band were a real treat! Highly recommend, and a special shout out to John(our waiter/mimosa man) he was an absolute treat, I would and will recommend this restaurant based on his service alone he really took my dining experience to the next level!

HAPPYFACESALLAROUND. We came here over MLK Weekend for a girls brunch of 12, and had booked these reservations 2 months in advance as we had a large group($ 25 cancellation fee /head if you cancel less than 24 hours in advance). They also accommodated splitting our checks without us even asking which was amazing, as nobody else over the weekend was nearly as willing. Atmosphere: I‘ll be the first to say that we did not really understand what we were walking into. We showed up in converse and sweatshirts, whereas the clientele was definitely nicely dressed(churchgoers, dressed up couples). Despite this, the staff was so great to us– our mimosas were never empty and they even gave us to-go cups when we were heading out. The music was great and they also came around to all of the various tables and took requests. Food: Additionally, the food was delicious. Every single person loved their dishes– with the crowd favorites being the Chicken & Waffles and the Shrimp & Grits. The burger & the vegetable quiche were not far behind. My one thing was the Citrus Avocado Salad which I got as a starter was okay but overdressed. I would go straight for the good stuff next time :) I’d definitely return to Broussards.

Broussard’s Sunday Jazz brunch was a wonderful addition to my husband and I’s honeymoon in New Orleans. The staff was extremely attentive and went out of their way to make sure our visit was special. We were serenaded table-side by the jazz band, the mimosas were flowing, and they even gave us a complimentary bananas fosters dessert. The bananas fosters is not on the menu, but ask for it, they flambé it table-side and it’s awesome. The food was delicious. We had a spectacular time.

We had the prize fixe menu. The restaurant was off for a high end restaurant. I found myself frustrated that we didn’t try one of the other NOLA legends instead of this place. The food tastes good but something was off on the presentation and service. I also had the wine pairings with the prize fixe and the main course pairing was about a half a glass of wine. Nothing blatantly wrong but not the experience you want for a hundred bucks.

We came here for the Christmas dinner and it was really good. The crab-stuffed drum was the best item on the menu, it came with an orange citrus glaze and an amazing crust. Alongside were garlic string beans which were also excellent. This dish was 5 stars. We also got the pork loin which came with a side of the best sweet potatoes I’ve ever had. The sweet potatoes definitely five stars, but the pork was 4 stars. The pork was a bit overdone and too tough for my taste. My expectation was high for this beautiful restaurant and that’s why the 4 stars. The cranberry BBQ glaze was really great. For dessert we had the pecan pie and that was fantastic. The chocolate ganache was so-so, the cake part was a bit dry. The coffee served after dinner was almost lukewarm, not warm or hot, unfortunately. Service was excellent. We had two waiters for our table of two. Plates were never left dirty in front of us for more than two minutes. Great service. I was also bummed the beer selection was minimal. I get this is a high class restaurant, and I appreciate the huge wine and whiskey selection, but I prefer beer. Overall highly recommended restaurant. My expectation were pretty high and that’s why it’s 4 and not 5 stars. Everyone says this is top 5 restaurant in NO.

Went to broussards tonight for Christmas dinner. We had bad-mediocre service. Our waitress did not promptly take our orders or bring our drinks at a decent time. The food was sub par for spending close to 100 dollars a person. I have travelled to many cities and countries, I have not spent this much money at a restaurant and had this kind of mediocre service and OKAY food. Oh well, won’t be coming back.

My husband and I came for an early Christmas dinner and it was fantastic. The service was excellent and the ambiance was really nice. I had crab-stuffed drum(fish) and my husband had a porkloin with a raspberry BBQ sauce. His came with broiled sweet potatoes and caramelized pecans — OMG — the best sweet potatoes of my life! I had a delicious crab and lobster bisque that I would highly recommend to anyone. Wonderful experience tonight. Thank you Broussards!

Came here for drinks on a Saturday night with friends. I’m sure the food is fantastic, but if you don’t get a gin fizz from their famous bartender, you are seriously missing the point of coming here. Cannot wait to come back again for the drinks.

It was a nice night, so my husband and I decided to sit in the courtyard. We waited for 10 minutes(as we watched the waiter rearranging tables and chairs in an empty bar inside) before the waiter greeted us, stating that«since New Orleans is under sea level you might see a rat crawling around outside». We asked for a wine list which he brought promptly then headed back into the bar. We watched him continue to rearrange furniture inside for another 20 minutes before getting up to leave. As we passed him on the way out he stated«Sorry, I got busy with something»…perhaps he should have gone into the interior design business instead. With an abundance of excellent restaurants in New Orleans offering great service, that was our first and last trip to Broussard’s.

We went for dinner last night and the food was amazing. Ambience was a little off putting when you walked in with no reservation and many many tables open– it was a Monday after all. Once seated service was perfect. But did I say the food was amazing? It was!

I visited Broussard’s for brunch on Sunday in a party of 10 and had a great time. I enjoyed listening to live music and their excellent BOTTOMLESSMIMOSAS service for $ 12. My glass was never empty. I tried the quiche and it was mediocre at best. The quaint atmosphere and French-turn of the century décor were completely ruined by the checkout process. The staff refused to split the check and made it a dreadful checkout process. With numerous options for brunch in NOLA, I wouldn’t recommend Broussard’s…

Mid bar-crawl, we stumbled in for a snack. The food was stunning. Well prepared, well seasoned and our group literally demolished everything everything in front of us. We did have a couple of issues: I wasn’t asked how I wanted my burger prepared. The burger was still tasty but it was more done that I would have liked. The biggest issues were the multi menus and punch prices. Our table was given two different menus and one of them mentioned 95 cent punches. We all ordered the punches(because at 95 cents, why NOT?). At some point, our waiter came back, apologized for mix up and made sure we had menus that were accurate. When the bill came, the punches were TENDOLLARSAPIECE. In hindsight, we probably should have argued the charge but we didn’t. I also think the waiter should have taken the initiative to change the bill and honor the prices on the original menu.

I usually only go to a fancy pants restaurant like Broussard’s for a special occasion. But a friend told me about the $ 19.20 three course meal in honor of the 95th anniversary of the restaurant, so we decided to check it out. The restaurant itself is as gorgeous as ever, a gem of a fine dining establishment. There was a bit of a crowd, so it wasn’t empty which is a good thing. I can’t stand sitting in an empty restaurant. The service was good to above average. The $ 19.20 menu provides a few choices for each course. We both ordered the crab and shrimp cake for an appetizer. It was outstanding, one of the better appetizers I have had in a long time. I ordered the short ribs which were good but not great. The sauce was nice and the presentation was nice with a big Portobello on top which was tasty. But the short ribs were cut in pieces and were found under a mound of mashed potatoes. Nothing at all bad about the dish, it just didn’t wow. My lovely better half ordered the fish(drum I think) with tropical fruit salsa and coconut rice, a much better choice. It was very well prepared, especially the execution of the fish which was perfectly moist, cooked just right. For dessert, I ordered chocolate ice cream which consisted of a very tiny, kid’s portion(not much more than a tablespoon) of very good ice cream accompanied by about a teaspoon of whipped cream. The better half again ordered better and got the peanut butter mousse which was a much larger portion and excellent, outstanding in fact. So if you’re looking for a nice evening at a grand restaurant but don’t want to break the bank, come to Broussard’s for good meal and overall dining experience during the $ 19.20 special. And, frankly, you should consider coming after the special is over. The food is that good.

25 people reservation. Copious amounts of Champagne. Delicious southern food. Tableside Jazz trio. Perfection. I was at Broussard’s on Sunday for their Jazz Brunch with a very large party in town for a joint bachelor/bachelorette party and almost everyone I spoke to said this was the highlight of the entire weekend! We ate and did a lot this weekend and for this to be everyone’s favorite really says something, I’m shocked by all the negative reviews. The food was delicious– we loved the fried oysters rockefeller, shellfish bisque, steak and egg pirogue, chicken and waffles, shrimp and grits, and table-side made(fiery explosion) bananas foster! I would skip the biscuits and gravy next time, not my favorite. Service was wonderful. Our waiters(Adam/Gordon, whatever your name is, and the cute girl with the pink hair?) kept the champagne flowing, they split up our bills in groups of 4 and did not judge us for the insane amount of champagne we drank. The price point is totally reasonable, too, mimosas for $ 12 and entrees between $ 16 and $ 32(32 being the outlier). HIGHLY recommend!

BOTTOMLESSMIMOSAS. BOTTOMLESSMIMOSAS. BOTTOMLESSMIMOSAS. BOTTOMLESSMIMOSAS. Now that I’ve got your attention, I’m pretty sure you’ve figured out that Broussards is your best bet for a GNO Brunch. As it was the case for me and my friends. Reservations are critical here as the restaurant gets lots of traffic from tourists and visitors. It’s also casual here so don’t be alarmed if you see beautiful decorated French décor and waiters in formal attire. It all good because it’s the Big Easy. What I love about NOLA is all the lively music and Broussards has a great trio of musicians who perform classic songs right next to their table. Although they should brush up on their Cole Porter. I requested them to play one and they only knew«Anything Goes». But I’ll take it. The food takes a long time. I mean a ridiculously long time. It could have been because a giant table of women were seated next to our table and was just then getting to their dessert which means the kitchen probably hadnt even begun our order. The food is really delicious but I tried the chicken and waffles and I was disappointed that the chicken was rather dry. The seafood crab cakes are a great choice if you’re looking for something filling but not too full, unique to the NOLA cuisine, and decent in price.

Went here for Sunday brunch and had a reservation. Was running late so called to let them know and they were more than nice about it. Unlimited mimosas! Yes yes yes. Our server was so sweet and she kept all our glasses full the whole time. They also had a band that walked around to each table and asked why you were there. They would then sing a song that fit your celebration. We were celebrating a bachlorette and the tables next to us birthdays! I ordered the shrimp and grits and it was pretty good. The grits were definitely a different texture than I’m used to but I ate everything anyway. I’m giving 5 stars for excellent service, atmosphere, and good food. Next time I’d like to request to sit outside in the courtyard because it was so beautiful out.

Stopped in for the famous«happy hour» mussels, only to find that they’re no longer on the menu(apparently the recently departed chef took the recipe with him). Also missing were the amazing truffle fries :( We decided to stay and try some of the new offerings, pecan pear salad with praline bacon, crab croquette served with avocado salsa, grit cakes and goat cheese philo, all of which were very good and went nicely with a $ 16 bottle of red wine, followed by the Chocolate Pave(highly recommended). The service was great, as was the ambiance. Yes, it’s changed, but worth a visit.

BROUSSARD’S ISCLOSED — IT’S CHANGINGCHEFS The menu by recently acquired French Chef Guy Reinbolt was stellar. However for some mysterious reason he departed a few weeks ago(I’m sure there’s thick gossip as to why). Replacing him is former«Lucky Rooster» Chef Neal Swidler. I’m skeptical. That unimpressive restaurant mercifully shuttered a few months ago(was it even open a year?) and was replaced by the conglomerate’s stronger brand: «Juan’s Flying Burrito». ILLOMEN: THEYTOOKTHEMUSSELSOFFTHEMENU Friends and I stopped in yesterday after a Brennans’ Christmas«bell lunch», as part of our French 75 bar hop. Those delicious mini-mussels, some of the best in the city, were pulled from the menu(one server intimated that Reinbolt’s recipes went with him). We were told that they’re to be replaced by a crab cake and«something in filo dough». sad day…
