Great concept, good pizza, good price, nice atmosphere, friendly workers. This is a hit! The pizza crust is thin crust, and so you don’t want to load too many topping on the pizza or you won’t be able to hold a slice. And this is the reason I did not give it 5 stars. If the crust was thicker, and I could load it up sky high with toppings, I’d be in heaven. But then they’d probably have to raise the prices. But the bottom line is, the pizza is good! Whenever I’m in the area, I will only eat at Blaze!

I discovered this gem on my way to rouses. I love all the fresh toppings and sauces you can pick! This place is great for kids and the staff is so helpful and nice. Do yourself a favor and get the s’mores cookie, they warm it in the pizza oven and it’s so warm and gooey! I will definitely be putting this on my regular list!

Pizza was delicious had the meat eaters pizza. The pizza was perfectly proportioned and filled me up and I had to take the rest to go. I will definitely try and persuade the franchise owner to let me open my own blaze pizza in Biloxi, MS. I can imagine I would do a lot of business. God willing…

Wish we had a Blaze in Miami, Florida! After searching on Unilocal for gluten free restaurants in the area, I stumbled upon Blaze. The concept of this pizza joint is similar to Chipotle. You start off by selecting your dough and YES they have gluten free dough. There is a huge variety of toppings to chose from all very fresh and delicious. The oven they make you pizza is is quick and gives it amazing taste. I am from New York and though I had tried the best pizza in the world, well now I have. Staff was friendly and the pizza was done in no time. I love it so much I would even consider buying a franchise and take it to Miami! You will not regret going to Blaze

Location is great, service is super friendly, but this pizza was just ok. I wanted to go because so many of my friends raved about it. I was disappointed at the quality. I’d go back, but it wouldn’t be my first choice.

Blaze was represented at the NOLA Unilocal Krewe de Vieuxing party on 1÷23÷16 and I was lucky enough to get a coupon… once the parade was over the children wanted to try it out because of the coupon… I was game so we headed on over… Walked in and they had a number of patrons but we were able to order immediately… went with a Meat Lover’s and another that was half White Top and half pepperoni and black olive… After placing the order the pizzas came out PDQ(pretty damn quick)…I’m personally a huge fan of thin crust and found these pizza crusts to be very good… My drawback with this place is the fact that they are real light on the toppings… The daughter loved her White Top and I tried a bite and have to tell you that was a very tasty pizza and I’m in no way a fan of white pizza… the son liked his but wasn’t blown away and I agree with the son’s assessment… However it did the job for a reasonable price and I’d recommend the place to anybody craving pizza and wanting a quick sit down meal…

Kind of like Subway for wood-fired pizza. It’s not bad, and it’s a good deal(for the CBD), considering the amount of food you get. I’ll go back for a quick work day lunch, but there are better pizza places in town that I’d go to for date night.

I go to Blaze a little too often! Blaze is like subway but for pizza, on steroids. It’s down the block from my job and is literally a slice of heaven. The build your own pizza is probably the best way to go, plus there’s tones of options! Try the smores, they’re delicious! My all time favorite thing about Blaze is there Blood Orange Lemonade! I swear I’d buy a gallon of it if I could. Very inexpensive for the quality! :)

This pizza place is tucked away next to Willa Jean. My sister brought me here a few days ago and I was pretty pleased with my experience. She ordered the signature BBQ chicken pizza with lemon basil beer and I ordered the green stripe pizza. After they fire up your pizza for 3 minutes you can add unlimited toppings all for $ 7.95! The portions were friendly and neither of us finished our pizza. These pizzas are fresh, thin, and light. Don’t forget to check in to receive a free s’more which they also fire up to have it warm and melting for you.

I was turned on to this business while visiting family in Florida. I couldn’t tell you how excited I was when I found out that there was one in Louisiana.(although I would be even more excited if there was one in Baton Rouge) The business is pizza based on a subway(or izzos) concept. You pick out your dough(regular or gluten free), choose your sauce, cheeses, meats, veggies, and seasonings. To build your own pizza, unlimited toppings generally speaking, is $ 7.95. If you just want a one topping pizza it is $ 6.95 and a cheese pizza is $ 5. All the pizzas are 11 inches, so it is big enough to share if you just want a little bit or small enough to eat by yourself if you are hungry. They also offer a few salad options, but we did not explore those since we were in the mood for pizza. Once you add all your toppings they bring it over to this open faced, wood burning, oven and cook your pizza for a couple of minutes. You can ask them to cook it longer, but with the thin crust it pretty much comes out perfect unless you add a bunch of toppings. Then you should have it cooked a couple of mins more so that the crust isn’t soggy. Overall flavor is awesome! I like to get the spicy red sauce on my pizza and then cover it with the meats. It has a kick to it that keeps your nose running, but man is it so good! The staff is pretty awesome too, there were about 7 people working the counter when we visited, at about 7pm, and they were all very cheerful and happy to help and explain how the concept worked. A+

Probably one of the better pizza I’ve had in a long time. The toppings to select from is very extensive. And it’s only $ 8. I call it the Goldilock crust. Crispy outside, chewy inside, just right. It’s the trifecta of good, fast, and cheap. I’ll definitely go back to try other combinations.

Not sure why all the hype for this place. It’s Subway for pizza! That is all, closing keyboard now.

This place is hits just about every point for me. It’s got a novel concept(subway style pizza), affordable pricing, good location(quick walk if you work in the CBD), and best of all, it’s quick without compromising on taste. I’m a simple gal so I’ll usually get the simple pie to go. Their crust is thin and retains a bit of chewiness(still deciding if I like that or not). The pizza is 11 whole inches so I’ll eat like 2 slices and have the rest later. I could definitely see myself splitting a make-your-own with a pal during lunch hour. Pros– — fired oven! — to go boxes are easily accessible and cardboard(easy reheat without the worry of styrofoam!) — unlimited toppings for fixed price — quick meal for cheaps — lots of promotions — great for groups: everyone can get what they like Cons– — You kind of get ripped off if you’re a 1 – 2 topping person. A sausage & pepperoni would cost the same as literally getting every ingredient — Their s’more pies aren’t the freshest… there was a fly hanging out in the jar when I first visited — it can get hot with the oven Neutral– — street parking kind of sucks — their alcohol menu isn’t the greatest making this mostly a lunch spot for me Overall, I like this place and will definitely be back when I’m downtown for work. Now if only they could start a frequent flyer card …

Ok, this place is pretty cool. Quick and efficient, I can totally see why this place is catching on in an already pizza-saturated town. The difference is their easy concept. Much like the beloved burrito places and Subway, it’s a very simple menu. Pizza and toppings. That’s it. You can choose between three types of pizza: cheese, cheese+1 topping, or anything you want. You get one crust but a variety of sauces. Nice selection of toppings. Yummy thin crunchy crust. They bake it for 90 seconds then you can enjoy a fresh pizza for under $ 10. I’m sold! One star taken off for their horrible Smore cookie. For $ 3, it’s two extremely dry(think MRE dry) graham crackers sandwiching a tiny amount of Hershey chocolate and 1 large marshmallow. Didn’t taste toasted. Though the cookie in general was hard to swallow since it completely SUCKED all the moisture in your mouth. Please replace it with an actual dessert instead of that monstrosity.

Can’t beat the prices on the pizzas here. $ 7.95 for signature pizzas or for any toppings. I wouldn’t add too much toppings to the pizza because the crust is fairly thin. We had the BBQ chicken and it was delicious(can add more toppings with no additional cost). They have a wide variety of toppings that I am willing to come back and try! Staff was quiet and didn’t seem to talk much. They were quick and efficient with the pizza. Pizza cook time 180 seconds! Once the pizza is done, they will call your name to pick it up. You can grab your own drinks and condiments. The restaurant was clean as well as their working station which is a plus.

I’ll be the first to admit that I am not a huge fan of the«wood fired» pizza trend that seems to be sweeping the city. What I usually get is pizza with crust that is cooked to different consistencies and that just doesn’t do it for me. This place is basically a Chipotle for pizza. You get in line, tell the people making your pizza what you want, they throw it in the oven and it’s cooked in about 3 minutes. I stopped in for lunch and it was a weekend, so the line was pretty long. I got in line and after deciding on the«meat eater», I ordered, added a few extras(veggies) and, as promised, it cooked quickly. Here’s my complaint: the crust(what they call their regular crust, not thin crust) is really thin. It’s almost too thin and if you have too much«stuff» on your pizza, it’s not going to stay on there. My other complaint is that the crust just lacks flavor to me. It’s pre-made, so I don’t know if it comes from a package, but it just doesn’t have any kick to it. Finally, what makes pizza good(in my opinion) is when it gets a chance to bake and all of the ingredients get a chance to cook into the crust and kind of meld together. That doesn’t happen when a pizza is cooked in only 3 minutes. A lot of people seem to dig this place but it just isn’t my style and I will stick to some other pizza places around town.

The gluten free pizza is great! The first time in the factory ensemble line is a little awkward but it moves quickly, respectful and wonderful nice at being able to pick all your ingredients without being overly charged. You pick the toppings, sauce and cheese then pay. They bake it and deliver it to your table. Glad we found this place so close to the hotel!

After the BYOP Unilocal event here a few weeks ago, I have been wanting to come back to see how they are during normal business hours. The restaurant is located in the central business district, so parking must be paid for. The set up is the same as before(picture Subway, Chipotle, Izzo’s Burrito and the like) where you can take one of their suggested recipes or build your own. I came right before the lunch rush(it did actually fill up quickly on a weekday lunch, as it is located near many offices in the business district), and I am glad for that. I won’t go into the details of ordering, as that has already been covered. I got the Veg Out(zucchini, garlic, cheese, mushrooms, and onion) today. The outer crust was not burnt as it was at the event, which was good. The toppings were good. The crust was soft, just like how I like a thin crust, which is unusual. The middle of the pizza was a bit too soft, but it is so difficult to get it just right. If I happen to be in the area again, I will be back, but I don’t think that I will be making any special trips.

A BETTERMOUSETRAP I don’t know how this intuitively dummy-proof«pizzasubwayaria» could be any more efficient. LOGICALLAGNIAPPE(see my pics) — they can divide sauces & toppings gratis on any of these 10″ pizzas — splittable: a whole pie($ 7.99) & cold drink after tax & tip is about $ 12 — The 7 – 8 minute cook time is enough to grab a table, drink & flatware — fountain refills are free, including lemonade and sweet tea — go-boxes, condiments, cutlery, napkins are all self serve — seats 75, free wifi, and it’s counter serve so tip is negligible — they even have a build your own online nutrition calculator. CAVEAT: it’s super thin crust so it can get soggy with too many toppings. PROTIP: so ask them to cook it a little longer, and cut it into easier to handle 1/8ths not 1/6ths.
