I have been going to this diner for over 10 years with my family. It suits the area, cheap food, and quick service. Not upscale, or anywhere close to it. Seat yourself and enjoy the culture of East Harlem at Triple A. The same staff have worked at this restaurant since I’ve been going which amazes me every time!!! In my opinion, breakfast is their specialty and they have specials 7−11am. CASHONLY!

It did not feel clean immediately upon arrival. The service was quick and friendly, but the food was pretty much microwaved. It is hard to mess up pancakes and eggs, but it was honestly not appetizing even for breakfast.

One of my favorite place to go and eat breakfast with my family. The staff is so friendly and always fast on making your food and always tasting good or even better then before

I’ve only tried the breakfast food but it was great; better than its competition and affordable. I’d definitely recommend Triple A!

Good neighborhood diner. Not big on ambiance but a solid place for a good breakfast. Me and my boyfriend both had omelettes and bacon — he had a hash brown and I had home fries. Home fries were the better choice. Apple juice came in a Tropicana bottle along with a cup of ice. Our waitress was friendly and efficient. There was a brief wait for a table so this place is pretty popular in the neighborhood. Will definitely go again when fiendish for diner food.

This place is a diner! So if you’re reading reviews with four and five star, stop and ask yourself how credible these reviews could possible be! Anyway, for this area this is really the best choice for diner food. Coffee is ok! Food is ok! But it’s still just an dirty old East Harlem diner! Nothing more!

This is a great diner — and even better when you factor in the price. For Manhattan breakfast food, at least two people can eat here for the price of one in other parts of town. The food is GOOD — even better than good. Service was excellent and friendly. I’d give five stars, but the buttery-like substance on the toast(and in my grits) although amply supplied, didn’t taste much like butter — I know it’s a small detail, but to me, it’s an important detail. It wouldn’t stop me from going back here again and again. I liked this place.

I went there on Saturday morning. The 1st think I noticed when I walked through the door was the heat! It hit me in the face. i am not sure if it is always hot but on this day the heat was stifling… But me and my family were hungry so we went in anyways. The waitress quickly came and took our drink orders. I was shocked that they didn’t have fountain drinks. We settled for cans coke and bottles of Snapple, they weren’t overpriced… We ordered the silver dollar pancakes(daughter, age 4), Pancakes eggs and bacon(me), Omelette with pancakes(hubby), and butter roll toasted(daughter, 1). Everything was delicious! The butter roll was a little burnt, but nothing i couldn’t scrap off, lol! Best of all the prices were very reasonable. For our whole mean we paid about $ 30, which for Manhattan is great! i will be going back!

Just past by the area and had to get something to eat. Anyway I decide to go for a slice of pizza and a tomato sauce pasta. Well it was ok but not the best meal I had. Therefore it takes no more then 3 stars in my opinion.

Usually I order the spaghetti with meatballs, and it’s pretty good. Don’t like the mash potato here so I just order fries. They also have decent milk shakes for good price

I was so happy to find this place on the other side of the Randall’s Island footbridge. Nice clean atmosphere, plenty of seating, EXCELLENT service, and great Mexican food. Fantastic given the neighborhood.

Now I am sure I am not the typical customer in this place(I was the only white blonde guy in a five-block radius, let alone in this restaurant), but breakfast does not discriminate. No frills diner experience with good cheap breakfast food. I love places like this because you can order like 8 things and the bill is somehow only $ 20. Now I know I have been to many classy places that also get my three star rating, so you need to keep this in perspective. This is a neighborhood diner and the patrons are generally older(I saw a walker comment from another post, and it wasn’t too far off); you aren’t going to be blown away by the ambiance. That said, my eggs, bacon, & grits were cooked to perfection and the service was friendly. If you are in the neighborhood, this is a fine breakfast option if you don’t need some hair of dog action.

Horrible coffee, bland home fries, and never dine in cause u will be eating with walkers, everyone there are sleeping in their food! Your better off getting a bacon egg amd cheese from the corner deli!

Excellent neighborhood diner. This place is right around the corner from me and my weekend morning go-to when pancakes must be had. The staff are friendly, the place can get very busy but the service is always spot on, the food is always diner-rific and it’s cash only. Text book diner experience. When it gets crowded they like to throw you at the table near the restrooms in the back. Don’t do it. It’s not worth it. Just wait for another table. Also, although it looks like it’s a 24-hr place it is not. I think they even close rather early, like after lunch. It’s a pity. They also don’t serve alcohol. Another pity. But, if you don’t require hair of the dog, neither of those two things should dissuade you from a visit.

The default diner in East Harlem. This place makes a killing(cash only) simply because there is no other clean place to get a good«diner» meal/feel. The food is ok but when you eat it you cant help but think«I can make better in my own kitchen». NEVERORDERDELIVERYSATURDAYORSUNDAYBETWEEN11−2pm. Your delivery will take forever if they even remember it. Finally, this place is due for a renovation after close to 20 years since their last one. But the owners are very cheap with everything even down to regulating heat during the winter and air conditioning during the summer. Diner Bar rest in peace. Unfortunately for us East Harlemites, we have to go south of 96th for a good diner. Try barking dog or corner café for a real diner experience.

Simple, casual and just the right place for a solid breakfast. Always fresh and quick. Sometimes a few minutes wait depending on what time you show up for Sat. or Sun. breakfast. Nothing out of the ordinary. Comfortable and the best part is — it’s affordable! I usually order an omelette. Good portions, potatoes and toast all just right. They have lunch and dinner 2. Everything from fish platters to salads.

My go-to breakfast/brunch place on the weekends. This place is a no-frills-true NY-diner experience. That means the food will be filling, good-to-great(depending on what you order), AND totally affordable. You don’t see diner food at these prices in Manhattan very often so I’m glad I live just a couple blocks away. I usually get a sandwich(the reuben is a fave) for $ 6 and my bf will typically get eggs, ham, and hashbrowns for about the same price. This place isn’t gourmet and you won’t be impressing anyone with instagrams of your food, but if you’re in the mood for cheap food in a no-hassle environment, I’ll see you Sunday around 11.

I’m a regular. Good food, good prices, just a comfortable, neighborhood diner. Nothing to rant or rave about. Well, I’m actually just remembering seeing a roach once about a year ago. So yeah, that happened *shrugs. Other than that, cool beans :)

Yum — I actually found this neighborhood diner on Unilocal and was not led astray. Really sweet, attentive service at this popular local spot — we both ordered the corned beef hash and asked for rice to be substituted for the potatoes, upon which the waitress immediately said, «Sure — I also have plaintains, want to try that too? It’s really good.» I immediately said yes and was delighted with my choice. We also got a bonus bowl of beans with our order for some reason, which were also delicious. Possibly the best corned beef hash variation I’ve ever had, and even at $ 7.25($ 1.00 extra for the upgrades), still quite a steal.

I like this place because we were sat immediately, had our food out immediately and everything was cheap. I ordered a classic bacon, egg, and cheese on a roll and they didn’t mess that up. My boyfriend ordered a burger with fresh lettuce and tomato, and the crunchiest fries so next time you eat here get the fries. I also ordered a side of mashed potatoes which were starchy and obviously made from powder. It was small but clean, except don’t expect using credit cards here, CASHONLY.
