I’m only give 1 star because I can’t post until I put a star this place is horrible unbelievable $ 2 for a small cup of coffee that taste like water. food is not good and is very expensive. Better of going to dd or Starbucks if you’re getting a small not regular size coffee that taste like crap.

I’ve been here a few times early on a weekday with coworkers. Today was a Saturday with my husband and a friend. After running a 10K in CP, a diner sounded nice and since I knew of this one, we came. I hadn’t been there in nine months. But sometimes, as you eat, you just know it’ll be your last time? That was today. We were asked by both the miserable-looking(no smiling, nothing positive) manager and a waitress how many were in our party. We replied, «Three!» on three separate occasions. So we follow the manager, who was not seating us but rather setting more tables for a larger party that only had half the party seated. We ended up getting chastised by that party(even though we were just following the manager). That was not welcomed. Then the waitress was more clear that we were to go with her. After 7 minutes, a new waitress came over and, without greeting us, asked, «Do you know what you want?» I should’ve left right there but I didn’t. The manager kept giving the unfinished party dirty looks and it was not enjoyable. They don’t refill the coffee at regular intervals and you have to ask for it. I saw the manager step outside at one point when no server was on the floor and my cup was bone dry for at least ten minutes. I will not return voluntarily to that restaurant because of the staff in the front of the house. The food is good, so I can at least give it two stars but those stars go to the kitchen. TL;DR — Front of House staff is not good. Food is decent. Diners are a dime a dozen in NY; go elsewhere.

My fiancé and I go here sometimes just to remind ourselves only how reliably bad the service is. The food is actually fine for standard diner food, but the wait times are insane. It is overpriced for what it is.

Visiting from Massachusetts and stopped in here after visiting the Guggenheim and sightseeing all day. Not much background choice from seeing the restaurant pop up on my iPhone as being somewhere nearby with food. Pleasantly surprised to find a small Greek/American joint nestled in on Madison Ave. Fresh and delicious tzatziki, steak skewers, and my entrée of half roasted greek seasoned chicken was incredibly juicy and flavorful and delicious. Waiters and staff were very helpful, fast and kind. For NYC, even as a visitor, a decent bang for your buck as well. We had a lovely and delicious dinner tonight. Will absolutely be back next time we are in the area.

The food is not good. No refills on soft drinks. The staff stands and stares at you. They want your tips in cash. There was no flavor to any of the food entrée fish, mashed potatoes, or veggies. The waitress tried to talk us into something we didn’t want. Really seem interested in the cash, not the service.

The best of the best! Come here often for the French toast/pancake supreme. For just $ 10 you get either a hefty pile of pancakes or a pair of nice fat and fluffy French toast, two(ACTUAL) sausages instead of those wimpy microwaveable ones or a side of crispy bacon, and two eggs just the way you like it. Staff is friendly and never rushes you. Bravo.

Gave this place a shot but I regret it now. I went there for lunch and ordered an omelet but unfortunately didn’t even get the toast/coffee that comes along with the dish until the end of the meal. The food was okay but to be honest it was overpriced considering the service of this place was so disorganized. I wouldn’t recommend it, shouldn’t have tried it in the first place. You probably are giving the waiter/waitress the benefit of the doubt but they only swung by once or so. In addition, neither were they seeking any attention if I needed anything. It’s alright, will not go here at all. They had a hard enough time giving me the check. Then again, this might be a local joint for residents rather than once in a while customers.

Fast service. Overall not bad ambiance. Food quite bland, basically the most straightforward diner food you can imagine. Want a couple eggs with toast, no frills? This place can do that. Otherwise, not so sure.

The food is just ok here. I think that they’re a little pricey compared to other diners, which probably makes the food seem a little more disappointing than usual. I don’t love this place, but I don’t hate it either. I do, however, hate their French fries…

Over priced, small portioned, not fresh diner food. I got sick from a breakfast meal here. Quality of this place has gone downhill over the past year. Also, How do you not have brown sugar for the oatmeal on your menu?!?

I give it 2 stars because of the guy who answers the phone to take orders. Otherwise I would give it 4 stars. This guy has been there a long time and is rude, incompetent and unbelievably nasty. Also he usually leaves something out of the order so check your takeout. The food is very good but who wants to go through all that. He is full of himself and despite many complaints about him they keep him. Bad business decision.

5 star diner in the UES/Harlem line. Yummy omelettes, nice atmosphere and a great price. Can’t ask for more.

Some times I don’t understand HORRIBLE diner reviews. Like — — relax — — get yourself a cup of coffee, order an omelet, eat and chill the F out. My coffee was constantly refilled. No, my server wasn’t bowing down to us — because he works at a diner and doesn’t necessarily have to be extremely friendly for his $ 5 average tip. My eggs were great — turkey sausage was on point… and who doesn’t love a generous potato portion? Toast came with grape jelly. Anything other than strawberry is just a disappointment. #1stworldproblem I will be back for more!

I’ve been to this place a bunch of times and have placed to go orders as well… I would say 9 out of 10 times there was some sort of disappointment. I don’t usually write bad reviews but feel the need after my experience this morning. I ordered a panini, it came out with a fraction of the ingredients that were advertised on the menu… I pointed this out and the guy behind the counter so generously only charged me half. However, there’s a catch… He overcharged for the breakfast my boyfriend ordered to make up the difference. On another occasion my boyfriend ordered a bagel with CC, bacon, and two eggs over easy… Which arrived with no bacon OR cream cheese. He was charged $ 9 for the bagel with two eggs for that one. On ANOTHER occasion I ordered a panini to go, it was a gross and soggy mess and also lacking ingredients that were advertised on the menu. If the staff were a little more friendly some of these things would be easier to overlook but they are not very pleasant either. Even though this location is super convenient at the moment as my sister does live across the street, I won’t be returning. Not really sure how a Diner can go so wrong in NY!

Katalina offered us great service she was very kind, if you go ask for her table. The cappuccino was excellent, I haven’t had this great tasting coffee in NYC.

If you go for their burgers, you will be a happy costumer!!! The rest of the menu needs an update… The service and the coffee are good.

When I’m in the neighborhood, I either get the Chicken Soulavki or the Mosaki. There’s always people eating here. Food has to be good, no?

I’m not sure all of the negative reviews because I really love this place. I’m from Jersey and have missed having a neighborhood diner to get a quick hearty brunch on the weekends. Omelettes are pretty competitively priced for the city, big portions, come out quickly. I really can’t complain. I’ve enjoyed every big breakfast I’ve had here.

I should have known after my first below average meal here(1 hour for 3 salads after the lunch rush) not to return. However I am new to the hood and a lover of diners and a supporter if local independent business so I tried again. What a mistake. My food came out in a timely manner this time(though I has waited 5 minutes for a refill of my soda) but I wish it had never come. The order was wrong — but that happens and can be chalked up to a possible miss-communication so not a deal killer. The long black hair, clearly not mine and cooked into a melted cheese was a deal killer however. Talk about disgusting. Given the filthy state of the bathroom I guess it should not come as a surprise. I was so unsettled(and really, no longer hungry) that I just wanted to leave. If course it doesn’t end there — the waiter insisted I pay for my soda before leaving. Truly a filthy kitchen and sub-par service. Too bad, I did really want to like this place.

I work in the area and came here as a last resort today. I came in about 12:35 to order and leave, I didn’t want to eat here because the last time I did I just hated their customer service very rude and scowl over you as your given the bill to make sure you tip. After today my 2nd time visiting. I learned my lesson. I came in and was directed to the counter to order the man looked at me several times but took the orders of those sitting at the actual counter. At first I didn’t mind. The man comes back to take more orders as 2 men who just walked in sit at the counter I tried to get his attention and he disregards me and takes the order of the 2 men that JUST sat down. I’ve now waited 10 minutes just to order my food. He looks at me and asked if I was ready and I responded«I’ve actually been ready for a while» the man just walked away. I couldn’t believe it! So as I stood there to make matters worse, a staff member ask me to move away from the counter so that a customer can sit down. I literally stormed out ! This place has average food, it’s over priced and has HORRIBLE customer service. I wasted 20 minutes just trying to order. I was being blatantly IGNOREDITSRIDICULOUS. Do not waste your time here the entire staff is rude from the random men that are just standing around the diner(that work there but are just standing around talking) to the waiters, down to the lady at the register. None of them have any customer service experience and it’s very clear. DONTWASTEYOURTIME !!
