The best grilled octopus I’ve ever had! What made this dish delicious and unique was the romesco sauce and the accompanying fingerling potatoes. Also worth getting is the ragu but it is on the heavy side, probably lots of cream.

My son and I had dinner at Parker and Quinn based on Unilocal reviews. Unilocal did not let us down and neither did Parker and Quinn. From the warm welcome when we arrived to the amazing food we enjoyed throughout the evening, Parker and Quinn consistently surpassed our expectations. We enjoyed our time there so much — we made another reservation for dinner before we depart from New York. Give Parker and Quinn a try. You will leave in an extremely good mood.

Good. Had the breakfast sandwich during Brunch hours. It was pretty good. Good environment but food was on the pricier side for breakfast food. You are paying for the location and the restaurant being part of Refinery Hotel.

More like 3.5 /5 My husband and I came here for lunch today. Service was really attentive, friendly and professional. We ordered a bunch of things. Overall, the food was good, but nothing really stood out. Prices were a bit high. Fried Chicken Sliders — really good, crispy, flavorful batter on the chicken, I would recommend this. Grilled Octopus — Unfortunately, this was more like grilled tentacles. We like the thick meaty(like, at least 2 cm in diameter) piece of octopus legs. The seasoning was delicious, but the octopus parts fell short. Margherita Flatbread — I really enjoyed this flatbread pizza, was delicious. My husband(native New Yorker) thought it was ok. It was just room temperature when it came out, I would have preferred it to be a little hotter. Eggplant french fries — The husband liked these, they were different. Crab Mac & Cheese — Sounds great, but for the price it fell short. We were hoping for chunks of crab, but it was more shreds of crab intermixed with the mac and cheese. It was still good and I loved the crumble top, but still pricey($ 34) for the overall product.

This place was just around the corner from my hotel and we wanted a fast breakfast on Saturday morning. My omelet was good and you choose one cheese and two veggies and it comes with toast. I asked for no butter and I got toast with butter. Fortunately, it was not buttered well and as we were short on time I rolled with it. The service was lacking and quite sparse. The food was overpriced for what you get.

Went for a dinner on a Friday night. It’s a busy place with great vibe! The bar in the front is filled with people and we were led to the back for the dining area. The menu is great and we liked our dishes. The price is very reasonable even my bf was surprised. We ordered the Pepperoni flatbread(aka pizza) with the chillies on the side since I can’t eat spicy. My bf loved it and was eating everything with it. He had the lamb burger and I had the Rigatoni pasta. My only complaint is because when we were seated, I asked the host lady if I could sit at another table, because the one she seated us was at a corner where all the waiter traffic is. According to my bf, she said yes but made eye contact with the waiter and rolled her eyes at me. What kind of service is that??? You could’ve said no and I would be fine with it!!! OR at least roll your eyes when you are not around the customer. I am not going to penalize the restauarant just beacuse of this one person so I am not going to lower my rating, but this was extremely unprofessional of her!!!

I have mixed feelings about this place. The food was great, but the service was horrible. Brussels– Seasoned with fish sauce, sweet chili, and sesame. It was uniquely flavorful. Definitely worth trying.($ 9) Margherita Flatbread– I wish I took a photo of the incredibly uneven slices. How difficult is it to cut even slices for four people? One slice was insanely huge, one was skinny, another was super tiny, and luckily there was one normal looking slice. It tasted great though.($ 12) Grilled Octopus– It was alright.($ 13) Hanger Steak– It was salty, gamey, and left such an odd taste in my mouth.($ 21) Salted Caramel Cheesecake– It was delicious!($ 10) S’mores– Two scoops of Nutella gelato laid on a bed of crunchy wafer balls covered in chocolate sauce, and topped with graham crackers and toasted marshmallows. Wow, this was my favorite part of the night. Lovely presentation and amazing taste. The taste reminded me of Ferrero Rocher, but mixed with s’mores. I highly recommend it.($ 10) Now, onto the service. Good thing my friend made reservations prior to dinner because it was insanely crowded. I loved the little vintage booth they seated us in. Our server left us with menus. Then, he disappeared for over half an hour. After he delivered the food, he disappeared into the darkness once again. After our entrees, we thought they would come with a dessert menu, but they cleaned up our table and forgot about us. I had to walk around to find a server and ask them for the dessert menu. After dessert, we sat there for close to an hour, without any servers in sight. I had to search for a server once again to ask for the check. Apparently, our server had left for the night, and they forgot to assign a new one to us.

Stopped here for drinks a couple of times. Worth the stops. Above-average cocktails in a relaxed environment. Creative cocktail list but they still make good classics. Had some shishito peppers last time and they were overdone but not terrible. Nice easy spot for a drink in midtown.

Cool little spot with an upscale kinda twist on a modern American-fare restaurant. Crowd seems more like locals and the after work regulars — I didn’t get much of a touristy vibe from the clientele when I visited. Was in town on business so just wanted to have a nice dinner before heading back to the hotel after a really long trade show event. Wanted something near the hotel since it was raining and this place had decent reviews. Staff was friendly and quick to serve even though they were quite busy, they offered to seat me at a table even though I was solo since I had my laptop-bag and all this stuff with me. Very cool. Server was helpful in making recommendations and was attentive throughout the meal although I didn’t require much tending to. Food came out real quick, I ordered the hanger steak with farmers market veggies and both were good, not overdone or too salty. Meal wasn’t all that memorable however the staff and service at this place was, I’d recommend or go back.

Great bar, great food, great atmosphere. My friend and I came here on St Patrick’s Day. I was worried it was going to be really busy, but it wasn’t too bad. We were able to get drinks at the bar fairly quickly and waited around 30 minutes for a table. I would probably recommend reserving a table if you don’t want to have a long wait, all the tables were full. The bar is really nice, good décor and booths around the outside. We were seated at the rear of the restaurant where is was less busy. There is so much choice on the menu, it took us ages to decide what to get! In the end we both went for a couple of small plates. I had the meatballs and a side of Mac & Cheese and my friend had the mushroom flatbread and a side of shishito peppers. The food was really good, of a really good standard. The ‘small plates’ we’re not small at all! I had to take the majority of my Mac & Cheese to go! I would love to return as the burgers sounded amazing! The only hiccup that I had was they initially brought the wrong dish out for me, but I advised I had not ordered it and the correct meal was out in minutes. The servers were really friendly and able to provide recommendations from the menu. They recommended the meatballs and they were delicious! The Mac and Cheese was also amazing, really creamy and the cheese flavor was so good, they must have used a really good cheese. It was lovely homemade tasting. Sometimes when you get Mac & Cheese, it can seem a bit prepared in advance and cheaply done — this was the opposite end of the scale– amazing! Even the leftovers the next day!

BLUF: Sub average bar. Positive rating comes from the setting. I was disappointed with their overly sweet old fashioned and their bland grilled octopus. After being turned away from Proper West-they had a private event-we decided to head next door to Parker and Quinn to watch the NBA all star game. Starting with the positives. The bar is dark and has an ominous theme. There are several TVs above the bar and the servers are all quite friendly. On the other hand, we had a party of three so we had to sit at a table near the bar since there wasn’t any space which was fine. My friends ordered a couple stouts while I called for an old fashioned. As soon as I got it, I knew it was too sweet. The drink wasn’t mixed well and the orange was over powering. We also ordered their grilled octopus as a side which was extremely bland. It was like eating a cardboard sausage with mush inside. No plans on returning anytime soon.

I spent the day in NYC and stopped at Parker & Quinn for a late breakfast. I came here on the recommendation of fellow Unilocal Buffalo Unilocaler, Ryan J. and I am glad I did as it fueled me for my busy day full of walking and sightseeing in the city. While it was a Saturday morning in mid-to-late December and I didn’t have a reservation, it didn’t really matter as I was just a party of one :) The atmosphere of Parker & Quinn was pretty neat. You walk in and immediately see the wraparound bar which is stocked full of quality liquors. I was seated towards the back near the open kitchen and was mesmerized by the craziness of the kitchen throughout my meal. My waitress was super friendly and decked out in holiday gear. I ordered the Salmon Platter complete with capers, cream cheese, shaved red onion served on a New York Style bagel. The salmon was perfect and the dish was completely melt in my mouth delicious. The ingredients were all very fresh and the dish was made with care. The restaurant is located inside the Refinery Hotel and serves breakfast, lunch, dinner, and of course cocktails as well. Like I said before, the atmosphere/environment is pretty neat. It’s a clear New York City style design that reminds me of what I imagine prohibition-style to look like. Although my review is going to disappoint Ryan J. for the pure lack of detail, I loved Parker & Quinn and hope to someday come back and try the dinner. You can check out their menu online and even make a reservation online, too!

You guys ever see the movie«Defending Your Life»? It’s a comedy/fantasy from the early 90s and it stars Albert Brooks where he goes to Judgement City after he dies to well, defend his life. While in Judgement city everyone can eat whatever they want, as much as they want with no weight gain, health consequences and everything tastes amazing! The best versions of whatever you are in the mood to eat. Well I experienced a bit of that right here on earth with Parker & Quinn! We arrived a half hour early for our pre-theater 6pm reservation on a Saturday. The hostess told us our table was ready if we wanted, but we decide on a cocktail at the impressive and beautiful bar. This whole restaurant is gorgeous with a nostalgic feel and look with white marble bar, dark woods, tufted seats, damask wallpaper — its a place made for winter in NY. We decide on the Dardanella and a Bulliet Rye Old-fashioned as our cocktails. The Dardanella was a well balanced mix that was slightly spicy and cucumber crispness. My Old fashioned was perfect and impressive in a large rounded old fashioned glass. Both tasted and just felt completely right. Feeling relaxed and ready to eat we were seated as soon as we were ready. We ordered a Malbec and a Guinness as we looked over the menu of so many great choices. We start with the grilled octopus, which is usually a must have for my wife, and it is an excellent version with tender pieces of octopus, fingerlings and romesco sauce complimenting it perfectly. We also ordered the roasted mushroom flat bread that was delicious and cheesy. The side of Brussels were seriously amazing. It was flavored with sweet chili and fish sauce — this dish could have gone seriously wrong, but it was perfect balance of sweet, bitter, salty, sour and umami. Never have I had a better version than this, which was surprising because I am big fan of the Brussels. Many praise the lamb burger and with good reason — the taste is incredible, juicy tender lamb with peperonata, goat cheese, harissa aioli. If you are a lamb fan get this! Seriously! It just melted in my mouth. I had it with the arugula salad as my side — the bitter, spicy greens making for excellent accompaniment. The staff and service were so fun, relaxed and operating like clockwork never missing a beat — making great friendly conversation, filling water glasses, serving the dishes, etc. I saw a couple of suited managers overseeing the operations and the chef outside the open kitchen insuring all orders going out were spot on. Service this exceptional is rare, especially so close to the theater district. The s’mores for dessert was generous and a great way to end — with hazelnut gelato, house made toasted marshmallow on top of graham with a dark chocolate sauce. Even my espresso was excellent and my wife loved the large mug of regular coffee. Now i don’t know about the health consequences of our meal, drinks and experience but I can tell you when it is this overwhelmingly good it does great things for the soul! Parker & Quinn sets an excellent standard for an incredible NYC dining experience.

Lively atmosphere, tasty pub food, very crowded bar. It felt like every banker in midtown was here enjoying happy hour on Thursday night. It will be hard to hear, you may lose your voice, a drink or two greatly improves the situation. Despite making a reservation, we had to wait 20min for our table. Note: they did not seat us until everyone arrived. Our server was friendly enough and provided great drink recommendations — the fleur de lis was fruity, floral, easy to drink; their popular blood orange margarita was definitely strong but refreshing and not too sweet. French dip sandwich — thinly sliced meat was tender and juicy, gooey cheese, horseradish sauce cut through the heaviness nicely, and the au jus… so good that my friend dipped her burger in it. With a slightly overdressed arugula salad, a really delicious and satisfying meal. Also recommend the rigatoni with lamb ragu, which was a hefty portion for a great price. The ragu had a depth of flavor, didn’t taste gamey at all, a well-executed comforting dish. My friend seemed to enjoy her hanger steak, my other friend liked my sandwich better than her burger.
A good choice for lunch/dinner/drinks in midtown if you don’t mind the noise level. My favorite part was the décor, which is reminiscent of a classy pub/speakeasy, plus we felt pretty boss sitting in the raised U-shaped leather booths.

Midtown Manhattan is packed with restaurants that lure tourists into paying exorbitant prices for mediocre food. Luckily, there are some exceptions, among them Parker & Quinn at the Refinery Hotel. While I dined at Parker & Quinn for its special Christmas dinner, if the quality and the taste of the food is any indication of its normal service, I will gladly return at a heartbeat. The prix fixe, 3-course Christmas dinner at Parker & Quinn featured a selection of holiday favorites using locally-sourced, seasonal ingredients. To begin, I opted for the Roasted Butternut Squash Soup. The brilliantly yellow, creamy butternut squash soup had deep, rich flavors that were enhanced by a drizzle of olive oil, pickled gala apple, and spiced pecans. I loved the crunchy texture of the pecans that balanced out the creaminess of the soup. After much dilemma, I selected the Slow Roasted Prime Rib for my entrée(other options included Pan-Roasted Wild Salmon and Farro and Wild Mushroom Risotto). The first bite of that tender, juicy prime rib was enough to confirm my satisfaction with the dish. The palm-sized, medium rare prime rib had just the right amount of fat to maintain its juiciness. The rich bordeaux reduction sauce on the side enhanced the flavor even more. The smooth, creamy potato purée, roasted carrots, and crispy brussels sprouts complemented the dish perfectly. Finally, the heavenly Salted Caramel Cheesecake was the perfect way to experience the magic of Parker & Quinn’s talented kitchen staff. The fluffy cheesecake, topped with a dollop of caramel sauce and caramel-covered popcorn, had dense graham cracker crust at the bottom that paired well with the light cream cheese. The scoop of creamy vanilla ice cream and fig jam on the plate provided additional sweet sensation to the mouth.

P&Q delivers great service, hit or miss food, in a retro back-of-the-hotel-restaurant space. Here’s the setup: Our waiter was obviously new and had to work the Thanksgiving holiday. Our family was large, loud and had high expectations. The food was a bit pricier than expected. Each entrée costs 25 – 45 dollars and does not include sides. So we ordered: wild king salmon, whole branzino, dry-aged porterhouse, beef short rib x 2, octopus, pepperoni flatbread, french fries x 2, roasted root vegetables, heirloom pork chop. Drinks for the ladies: Blood orange margarita, fleur de lis and rose wine. Verdict: Everyone loved their drinks. I loved my roasted fish with grilled breadcrumbs(croutons essentially). It was tender, flavorful, delicious. The pork chop was juicy and the roasted gala apples were a huge hit. The pre schooler with me took a bite of the apple and exclaimed, ‘Mommy! This tastes like apple pie!‘ The octopus was delicious. We wanted more of that slightly spicy, non oily pepperoni flatbread. The dry aged porterhouse was perfectly cooked. My hubby liked his short rib but my sister-in-law complained hers was so dry that it tasted like the hunk of meat leftover from a soup. And 40% of the table complained that this was not enough food for everyone. Really– we probably should have ordered a side per person. But it stinks to leave Thanksgiving meal and go to McDonalds afterwards to fill everyone up. Protip: Don’t bring a large party here and expect to spend less than $ 60 per person. If you spend $ 80 pp, the meal may be satisfactory.

It was a rocky start but Parker and Quinn blew me away. I got to the restaurant early for a 7:45 reservation so my party and I grabbed a drink at the bar. I ordered a draft beer… it was flat. I told the waitress and she immediately replaced it with another beer… which was also flat. I told her again that my beer was sour/flat. She tried it for herself and agreed. She was very happy I said something because she said she’d rather have 1 person unhappy then the whole bar. She replaced my drink with a bottled beer(safer option than the draft). We were then seated at our table which was a shwanky elevated leather booth. We felt like VIPs. We ordered new drinks(Rosé and pinot noir) and our food: french dip, lamb burger, crab cake sandwich and mac and cheese to share. The food was delicious. Everyone was pleased with their selection. The ambience was much like a speak easy. Leather couches, big chandeliers, and the waiters dressed in old fashioned clothing. The staff is what really made it. From the bar tender who replaced my drinks TWICE! To the waiter and the buss boys, everyone was so friendly and up beat. Thank for a great evening!

Four stars is right on point. Had the Brussel sprouts, amazing for sure never had them prepared like this before. Rotisserie chicken was out of this world. So juicy and tender plus a very deep flavor just a perfect balance with the sprouts. Price was high for lunch, but it is NYC and the food was very high quality. Otherwise I would go back for sure.
