Went on 5÷2÷14 for an after work event only to find that NYPD and a court shut it down on 5÷1÷14. Also a vendor was there to set up and didn’t even know. Was excited to have a good time with my girls but I guess not. Hope they get it together and communicate better with sites that promote their events.

I’m not a club-goer by any means so maybe that’s why this review is getting 3 stars but this place is… interesting, to say the least. It’s not a big venue so it fills up quickly and gets cramped inside, but I guess that’s the typical New York club scene on a Saturday night. Music is LOUD. Deafening. It’s now Monday and I think I’m still regaining my hearing, but at least the mix is good– songs ranging from the 80s to today. I recommend getting bottle service at this spot. Since it is so small, it only makes sense and adds to a more intimate feel. The service itself is really good, the mixers were constantly being refilled and the tables were well stocked with glasses and napkins.

I came here recently for a bday party. The guy throwing the party had made arrangements for a bunch of us to have open bar with all these promises for no lines and no cover. My wife and I arrived around 11:30 and there was about 100 people just mobbed around the door. There was no organization. No one was being let in, it was a complete mess. Finally, a friend of a friend knew a girl that worked there who was able to get us in past the bouncers about 30 minutes later… however that itself took 15 minutes because people were so jammed against the front door, you couldn’t physically move past them. Once inside they tried to charge cover because we came in after 12. We again had to get the same nice girl to explain to the cashier that we were part of a party that didn’t have to pay. No one other than her was pleasant or seemed to care. Also, the line outside became more understandable. They charge higher cover after 12. so might as well make everyone wait outside until then. Such an obvious tactic. Once inside, the place was EMPTY! Literally the whole downstairs was open. We had an area upstairs, and the open bar drinks were top shelf as promised and the bartender was fast. I will say that once upstairs we had a good time cuz we had room to move and music was pretty decent. But then we tried to use a bathroom. There was a 45 minute wait!!! We decided to all hold it. There are only 3 toilets and all are unisex and its a disaster. Finally, at some point in the night someone started playing saxophone over the EDM music. It was cool for a song or two, but became really annoying. It was then decided it time to leave. Just don’t bother with this place, its a true bait and switch, and you may wait hours at the door trying to deal with the worst bouncers. And forget it if you have to use the bathroom. It was literally faster for us to get back to Jersey City and use the bathroom at home.

S.U.C.K.S. Is all i have to say. Waited in line for over an hour because they wouldn’t let people in for the longest time. It was weird because we got there when the bouncer said«we open in ten minutes» so we were the first ones in line… In the end there were about 4 – 5 different lines. Two from the left, one from the right, and one in the middle where everyone is trying to shove themselves in. The bouncers were extremely disorganized and did NOT know what they were doing. It was quite ridiculous and no one could understand what the heck was going on. It felt like a zombie apocalypse and people were fighting to get into a survival ship or something. Just constant shouting and pushing. Very odd. I waited with patience because my friend’s friend was the dj of the night. Even with that«connection» we had to wait an hour! So besides from waiting what else you would ask? The place was over crowded with drunk people spilling drinks coming and going. The interior layout was horrible, very booth oriented. No space to dance or stand. Literally by the bar it was people shoving, pushing, and going in and out of the place. Cover?! Guys $ 20, girls $ 10. Are you kidding me? For a space where i am getting pushed and shoved? Coat check? 4dollars. It felt like a twilight zone. I have been to plenty of places that have way better atmosphere with no cover and fast moving lines. I think they are charging this ridiculous amount KNOWING people who enter will get the heck out of there as quickly as possible so thats the only way they can make money? I really do not know. Please stay away if you are heads or tails about this place.

I really liked this space. It has a nice layout and an upstairs balcony with a second bar. I came here last night for a Business event and it was jammed!!! However, the music was so loud, it wasn’t conducive to networking at a business event. I didn’t try the food, but will definitely come back and try it on a more casual visit. The service was really great, prompt and courteous.

I have never heard of EVR before, but some friends knew some guy having a birthday party there, etc, etc, so we went. I hate to sound negative, but this place looks very pre-recession models & bottles: high ceilings lots of dark mirrors, lingerie-clad dancers, bottles, bottles, and more bottles. We got there late on a Saturday evening and everything had gone sloppy. Everyone was drunk and making out. It was a young, mid-twenties crowd and they were getting lit up. We were with a group that had a table and bottles, but sadly, no models. The music was loud, vanilla top 40EDM(Tiesto, Guetta, Afrojack, etc.), but whatever. The good thing here was that the staff was very attentive. Whatever our table ordered, whether it was a bottle of vodka or champagne, another bucket of ice and a single bottle of beer, the staff did a very good job of bringing things to our table quickly. In addition, the staff did a good job of identifying overly drunk idiots out of the mayhem and pulling them out of the crowd and removing them from the club. This kept the place from going from fun & sloppy to disastrous and dangerous. I am not sure if I will be back but this is a decent middle of the road nightclub with very little attitude where you can have yourself a good time.

EVR is pretty swanky laid back feel. In November I went to EVR on a Friday for Happy Hour afterwork for a friend’s bday. There was no cover. There was a live DJ rocking some dope dancing tunes throughout the night. I redeemed a free shot for checking in on Unilocal.I picked Tequila and passed the shot along to the bday girl. I ordered a red wine for my happy our drink. which was about 5 or 6 bucks. During the Happy Hour time from 6ish or so there weren’t that much people in the building most people we congregating by the bar, then when you walk further towards the back there were more people in groups sitting down and drinking. As the night progress to 9 pm a more dress up crowd started to trickle in and the music starting getting people on the dance floor. I had a really good night. I only had two drinks and I was done! The bday girl and I swore up and down that the bartenders spiked our wine lol. There was no way in hell we can get that bent. EVR is a nice spot for Happy Hour and for lounging. But party wise as this place begins to get pack there no suitable dance floor because the venue is narrow(railroad style) and the back of the lounge is filled with sofas. There’s no dedicated space for dancing.

Music: Top 50 music(although leaning towards EDM these days) Service: We had the whole top floor reserved so perhaps that’s why the waitresses/waiters were very attentive and friendly. Last time I cam e here I got free drink tickets! Venue: Small, but not packed.

Where do I begin!!! First of all, our waitress knew nothing about the menu. I asked her how the wings were prepared. She said fried. They’re buffalo. I asked how many wings came with the meal. She said 7. It came with 5. Like really? I ordered the wings with fries and the mozzarella sticks. The fries and mozzarella sticks tasted like they were the frozen kind heated up in the oven. Horrible. The chicken was refried as well. I ordered a Moscow Mule. On the menu it said it consisted of vodka, lime and ginger beer. When I received it, all I tasted was the lime. And the mint. I know what you’re thinking… What mint?! Yup. Mint was in my drink. I had to send the first one back because it tasted like lime juice. I literally tasted nothing else. The 2nd wasn’t much different but I sucked it up and drank it anyway. It tasted more like a poorly made Mojito. My cousin ordered a Rum Punch… That was orange. I’ve never in my life saw an orange rum punch. They’re always red. FAIL! It got 2 stars because I got a free shot when I checked in with Unilocal. The shot was good. Lol Bottom line, I have some friends that are doing an Afterwork here on Tuesdays which is what brought me here in the first place. Idk if I’ll return, though.

Awesome bar. I love this place, the two floors are really nice. The second floor lets you look down on the first floor. It’s a pretty big club. The tables are bit tiny, it does get a bit crowded, but it’s expected considering how popular this place is. Everyone here’s friendly, staff included. The floors are usually kind of wet because people spill drinks, so just be careful. The bathroom’s always clean and orderly. Sometimes a bit crowded, but they have a lot of stalls for you to use. Good atmosphere, good crowd, great for a night out.

Pricey drinks and a bit disorganized when i went. It was an industry event and the people that worked at the lounge didnt know anything. Asked a few where hats this and that ad they had no clue. Some of the chairs at the bar are broken and ruin your clothes. The drinks ar a hit or miss. Ordered a jack and coke during happy hour and he says $ 11, and i asked its happy hour, only well drinks he responded but nowhere else it says that. I was ok tipped the guy and went off. Then my friends arrived and we ordered stoli and soda, it was a bit wattered down and the bartender looked at us like what… we all said its mostly soda. she just walked away. ordered from the other bartender shots and another round of stoli and soda and it was better. Apparently they have food but we never saw the menu as it was never offered to us. The music is great, the DJ was a girl that was mixing great music from all genres. loved it. will not come back… no need to pay $$$$ for drinks when ambiance is just ok

a SMALL clubbing venue but they play good music! get to know a promoter for the best service & no fuss entrance! they are NOTPACKED even by midnight. they really don’t fill up until later into the night!.. this could be a good thing or bad thing depending on your plans! there’s an upstairs area but it wasn’t open since the downstairs was so empty when we arrived! NOTE: Free shot with Unilocal checkin. anything that’s house… so naturally we got tequila shots!

Why haven’t I ever been here before?! Chris, Jason and Mya took me here one night after we did some of our usual bar hopping. As it was my first time here, I was surprised at what I’ve been missing out on. It’s young, sexy, and has really cool modern décor with excellent lighting to set the mood. They had people dressed up with elaborate make up and crazy head pieces walking around taking photos with partying patrons, and also some dancers along the perimeter of the bar. What makes this place so nice is that it’s unpretentious, has good music and there are also plenty of spots to sit and also two bars to order drinks from. one on the top level, and one on the ground floor. Other than the entrance, it is quite spacious. From what I recall, the bouncers were pretty nice and we got in with no problem. Once we got inside, it also was not too hard to flag down a bartender to order up some drinks. This place is absolutely a nice spot to hit up for drinks, hanging out, and maybe some dancing if you have a good group you’re here with. I want to come here around happy hour and check this place out again to see if it is as awesome as it is later in the night.

Yes… I like how the menu glows! Happy Hour was 5−8pm for $ 5 beers, $ 6 wines and $ 8 wells drinks. This place is pretty spacious and nice, and I liked the 90s music they were playing!

Gotta love this place. Staff are all really nice, good music always, hot girls(sometimes you get the hired exotic dancers which is cool), and good food and drinks. They also have these cool light up menus so you dont have to strain to look in the dark with your cellphone light! They also just recently started taking bitcoin! The only bad thing is that the bathrooms and coat check are downstairs, so for girls it’s a bit annoying to go back and forth in heels. But honestly I would prefer this than walking into a already crowded club with a huge crowd at the coat check in front. There’s a lot of space in the bathrooms so it’s much better. And it’s not as filthy as most club bathrooms are. It’s a nice lounge/club classy feel with two floors. I love going here to just chill out and have some drinks or to just have a wild night with my girls. I would definitely recommend to everyone to go!

Ooh. me like. I think this is a great addition to the area — there’s not many nice cocktail places around here. I came in after work for a couple of drinks. It was pretty dead in here, but granted, it was the day of the snow storm so it was probably dead everywhere. I like the ambiance of the place though. Very sexy. There’s two floors and two different menus. Be careful when you open the menu, it’s lighted so I was blinded for a second. The menu downstairs is an average cocktail menu. They accidently gave us the wrong menu(the upstairs one). Upstairs is where the mixology bar is — the drinks sounded more unique and intriguing. Soo we went up there to grab our drinks. The waitress was really helpful in explaining and making suggestions. We ordered the Evrtion(says it has egg whites but didn’t notice any), Americano Sour(sweet, girly, light), The Smoky(I didn’t like it but it’s not really my thing either) and the Rum Manhattan(this drink was actually good.) I’d definitely come back to try more. and try their food menu too. I’m curious to know what it would be like during the EVR After Hours.
