My husband and I were both celebrating our birthdays, we did not have a reservation but was seated right away… The food tasted great: Prime Rib with sides but it was cold. Beside us was a nice size group also celebrating a birthday, the group was drunk, very very loud: one guy was even yelling at his friends at the other end of table. My husband and I couldn’t talk to each other because we could hear each other, so we choked down our $ 90 meal. My husband said something but was not acknowledged, we though that the staff was disrespectful everyone else dinning except the birthday party.

Sorry to say — but I was disappointed. I have been here numerous times, but not since new owners have taken over. This visit was an NYE PreFixe 5 course dinner for 4. $ 85/plate with wine pairings. We weren’t advised that we could order only the entre. Hmm. The best part of our meal was the conversation/company and service from waitress Jane/Janey. She was pleasant, smiling, consistent and kind. ~ Not the waitress’ fault, but the tenderloin was cold when it arrived and extremely salty. I shared most of it with my husband. The red potato bites that came with my beef tenderloin were either not done, or burned. ~ The place was not packed. There were consistently two 4top tables available in the dining room, and a 2top available. ~ I heard a rumor that later in the evening that they ran out of food and had to close early. Another eyebrow raiser… Sorry, something’s very«off» here. Amendment. It’s not about being the«old Riv» at all. Sorry, it was just an off night for my meal apparently. Thx for the remarks though. Appreciated.

Just like other reviewers have said, service at this place is a disaster. Only go here if you have two and a half hours to spend on a mediocre dinner. We arrived at 6:30 and were told it’d be a 15 minute wait for a table. Great! We finally got sat at 7:15. It was then that we noticed that there was one server for the ENTIRE restaurant. There was a bartender that was helping to bus tables, but that. was. it. No food runners or anything. The server straight up ignored us for 10 minutes, and then when we tried to flag her down(in a very polite and friendly manner), she apparently got annoyed by that and ignored us for another 10 minutes. I’m totally understanding if you’re clearly swamped with tables(that’s not your fault and a result of poor management), all I ask is that you stop by for 3 seconds to say you’ll be with us in a minute. She literally didn’t even acknowledge us and walked by us at least a dozen times before we tried to get her attention. We literally watched her take orders from tables that sat down after us. I know, you’re probably thinking we’re demanding, cranky customers that obviously did something rude, but we were aren’t and we didn’t! How could we have been if we hadn’t even spoken to her? I couldn’t even tell you which server it was because she never introduced herself. When we finally got our order in, it took 55 minutes for the food to come out. One out of the four dishes was good, and that was the lamb that my husband got. I ordered the chicken parm sandwich and it was so dry I had to ask for extra marinara(you can imagine how much the server liked that!). I also got«fries» that were so burnt and hard I could’ve played the drums with them. My father ordered the tuna medium rare and it came out well done. And my mom ordered the paella that was a bowl of watery rice with 2 shrimp and four mussels on it. All in all, a very bad experience and we won’t return. Much better options in that same area!

We walked in for dinner without making any reservation, and we were able to grab a seat to enjoy the awesome food from the restaurant! We ordered the beef flank sandwich, beef burger and Chocolate sin desert. I was too hungry and finished my dishes in less than ten minutes and all I remember was:“Man, that was great food!“ Chocolate Sin was extremely tasty that I recommend you to slow down and take each bite with your eyes closed. The restaurant was also very affordable with such great quality of food.

So good! We made a reservation here for 4 for Friday night just a couple hours before we were planning to come by. 4 friends and we were celebrating one person’s last day at her job. Arrived and were seated immediately at a cool corner table with a booth and chairs. The host brought us some champagne to try, as well as kept the wine samples for my wine drinking friend rolling. Kimber was our server and she was great. Super attentive, friendly and professional while also maintaining the casual feeling atmosphere. We had truffle fries and pulled pork nachos for appetizers(as well as an awesome mushroom thing drizzled with delicious sauce that the host/manager, Josh, had us try). I had the«son of a Mitch» chicken sandwich. Poblano peppers! Delicious. I got the salad for a side and the dressing was really good. Speaking of salads, there were plenty to choose from to satisfy my vegetarian friend as well. She’s allergic to sweet potatoes, which is a shame, because the sweet potato and kale salad sounded awesome. Both Kimber and Josh took the time to explain different wines to us as well as chat about the food and the restaurant. We learned about half price«winesday» Wednesdays– definitely will be making that a regular thing! All in all, this place is awesome. We will definitely be back, as we live locally, for the inventive menu, amazing wine selection and great service!

Delicious food, great atmosphere, and great wine list service was fabulous, even accommodating 3 hungry little people(1, 6 and 8 — all boys). There was a bachelorette group at the table next to ours and our server was handling them as well and still never had to wait or ask for anything.

The dirty vodka martini was PERFECT. Had a veggie burger and a kale salad and both were also quite good. My daughter had a burger and her fries were some of the best I’ve ever had! Worth a visit, for sure.

It was a busy night at the Riviera restaurant. A cozy restaurant with a really good menu, and extensive wine list. SOLD. Wine is my weakness, the good food was a plus. We were greeted by a friendly host that asked us if we had a reservation. We told him no but he was able to accommodate us by a huge booth across the window. We were warned that they had large parties and our food might take a while. They were honest from the start and we were patient because we really wanted to try this place. Then we met our server. A wonderful young lady named Laine who had an extensive knowledge of the menu and was able to give us amazing recommendations. I had the special and my boyfriend had the prime rib. The prime rib was huge, tender, and had great flavor, my chicken was incredible. We were so happy with the experience, that we decided to have more wine, five minutes later the manager himself sent us two glasses of the wines that were paired with our entrees. The personable service, the friendliness of the staff, and the atmosphere made this one of the best parts of our mini vacation. We will be back. Several times. So thankful to Laine for her wonderful service. Very memorable experience. Good food is extremely important but the service is what completes the experience.

I guess my first 1 star review has arrived. This is mainly because of the waitress. She is blonde and a little on the heavy side. The décor of this place is really great. It seems like a place you would take a date to or go on a special occasion. I made a reservation here for 6:30pm. We arrived right on time, and the table was almost ready(they only had to clean it and that’s it). The host was very attentive and friendly. After a minute or so, he sat us down. Honestly, I was a bit excited about what to expect of this restaurant. Sadly, everything went downhill from here. –Timeline– A few minutes after sitting down, the waitress introduced herself(boy do I wish I could remember her name so I could warn everyone about her). She asked for drinks, and the simplest order was made. One coffee, one sprite, one coke. Then she asked if we were ready to order. we weren’t ready with entrees but we were with appetizers so we ordered those first. A few minutes after ordering the appetizers, the coffee arrived. No sign of a coke or sprite yet. After 10 minutes had passed, the appetizers came. And still no sign of a coke or sprite. For appetizers we ordered the truffle fries and the cheese fundido. We finished the two appetizers, and guess what? Still no drinks. About a minute after the busgirl took away the plates, she brought a complimentary plate of bread and butter. I’m pretty sure bread and butter is supposed to be served before the appetizers come. Thankfully a little after the bread arrival the coke came. At this time, I was pretty annoyed that 20 – 30 minutes had already passed and the three drinks were still not on the table. I mean, how difficult is it to serve two sodas and a coffee, it’s not like it’s a cocktail where you have to mix different alcohols and such together. I tried to get the attention of the other waitress(thin blonde girl) which seemed to be doing her job right. I waved and waved but she just ignored me. I’m assuming I got ignored because I was not part of her tables and she is probably aware of how awful her coworker is. After failing to flag her down, I asked the busgirl, who replied«let me go tell your waitress» 5 minutes passed and finally, the sprite came WITH the entrees! It only took about 35 minutes to get a mere soda. If this is not bad service, then what is? After we finished eating, the bill came, we paid. 2 minutes after paying she said word by word«just to let you know there is a party of 12 waiting for your table» and then she walked away. No thank you, no have a good day, no nothing. –Food– Entrees ordered were the Tequila chicken pasta, and a sandwich. The pasta was just ok. The sauce was lacking in taste but the noodles were perfectly cooked. The sandwich was much better. It wad accompanied with fries. The meat of the sandwich was very well cooked and it was not dry. The truffle fries were mediocre, I didn’t taste the usual taste of the oil as I’m accustomed to. And the fries were a bit over cooked. The cheese fundido was exceptional though! The taste was what I was expecting and more! It’s a must order here. Final verdict Ambiance — 7⁄10 Food — 6⁄10 Service — 0⁄10 Word of advice: Go to Pullman or the brewpub. It’s 1 block away, has good service and better food.

So my girlfriend and I just had just had dinner here. I’m giving this place 5 stars because we had 4 different dishes and every bite was delicious. We started with 2 appetizers. We ate the grilled trout cakes and pulled pork nachos. Then for our main courses she had the grilled lamb sirloin and I had the green curry seafood. We shared of each other’s plates. We were delighted with our restaurant choice this evening. Good ambiance, good friendly service, great food and very reasonably priced.

Our experience was very positive. The reservation process and confirmations were easy, although the confirmatory email gave my name as Chandler Chandler. Neither my first or last name is Chandler?! Food was excellent. Pricing was ok for the area. Good size menu. Will go back for sure.

The food was amazing. Service was fantastic. Wine list is incredible. This was an all around amazing restaurant. I had the halibut and my companion had the beef tenderloin. Both dishes were incredible. We shared a cheese plate of homemade cheese that was outstanding. I strongly recommend this place.

Maybe we went on an off night, but it was a disaster. Service was very rough — definitely not her fault, she was clearly overworked. Barely checked on us, but I think there were 2 waiters for the whole place. Food took way too long, even considering making from scratch. About an hour from ordering. Stuffed shells were totally dried — probably under the broiler too long, ended up inedible. Caesar salad was wilted. Trout was ok… but there was a mixup in the kitchen and it came 10 minutes after everything else. Everything else was average. 2 members of the party said the food was good — tenderloin apparently turned out OK but I didn’t try it. I think it could be good, but the night we went made it seem like their first night of operation.

Hm this place has potential, BUT we walked in and were not greeted for awhile. We were just standing around waiting for the hostess. They looked a bit understaffed. All of the fish entrees were unavailable as well as a mushroom veggie option. Unfortunately these are the ones we wanted:/ I got the salmon sandwich which was delicious, but the fries were either refried or just super super greasy, yucko. They gladly ordered me a new plate of them and those were great! Veggie burger was good as well as the calamari and trout cakes!

We look forward to having dinner at the Riviera every time we are in town. The wine selection is paired with food and you have the option of wine flights if you cannot decide on which to choose. We started with the truffle fries and calamari which did not disappoint. The entries were the halibut, steak and veggie burger. The steak was cooked perfectly and the service was fast and friendly.

I can’t comment on the food since I only popped in for a glass of wine but based on the service and selection I’m sure the food is great too. Amanda is a great bar tender and very knowledgeable about the wines the business has to offer — and the list is expansive. Everything was very high quality and the service could not have been better — pop on in, I’m sure you’ll enjoy the experience!

This was our third time at the Riviera. We requested a booth when we made our reservation and did not get one. Initial service was slow, menus, wine list and sparking water, about 10 minutes. Ordered Truffle Fries and Black mussels for appetizer. The truffle fries were steak dries, not thin fries normally presented as Truffle Fries and they were oil soaked, not crispy and not appetizing. The black mussels, which previously have been pristine, were tainted by dead mussels and if you are a mussel lover, you know what that tastes like. The mussels were most likely old and past prime and Chef should have seen the condition prior to cooking certainly should have smelled their odor. Entrees were bourbon shrimp which was delicious and the filet(full size) au poivre which was delicious and cooked the way I requested. My only gripe was that FULL in this case is two CLUB pieces. A FULL order should be a single piece of meat that weighs the FULL weight. All in all, it was a disappointment. We will try it again one more time. But the owner needs to take charge of service promptness and food quality.

I used their online form to make a reservation a month ago. Showed up tonight for our specified time and the rude host guy said«did you get a confirmation from us?» Um — no — your form didnt’ say to EXPECT a confirmation. They were booked up with private parties and he was less than helpful or sympathetic to our issue. He said«you’ll have to wait — it might be 25 minutes or more». Our options — wait in the rain(nowhere nice to stand or sit inside to wait) or go somewhere else. We went next door to Ranch(the old Peppo Nino) and it was excellent — go there instead. We were disappointed because Zheng(owned by the same group) is one of our favorites — still some major customer service wrinkles to iron out in this new location.
