Excellent food, service and view. Very friendly staff and they have some of the best steaks in town! Must try

Very nice dining experience. They cheerfully agreed to keep the dining room open for our late arrival at 9:15pm. Our server was Akeem and he was excellent. My son and husband enjoyed the corn chowder and the fish and chips. Generous portions and crunchy crust. I was yearning for some trout and it came with a lovely fillet with pilaf and a yummy pickled beet garnish. Dessert was a chocolate pave cake that was super rich and very filling. Will be back for certain.

Came in for Christmas eve dinner. We made reservations two weeks before. When we came in they sat us in the bar in a corner where cold air was blowing in. I asked why we were not put in the dinning room and was told«I didn’t ask for the dinning room». To make this even worse I was told I didn’t have reservations. The heat was broken in the bar. The manager was completely nasty and unwilling to even try to smoth things over. My prime rib was dry and hard to eat. Mash potatoes where cold and the vegetables look like they could have walk away on there own. Never received drinks we ordered and 40 minutes later went to bar our self for them. The whole table said there food was cold and unedable. So two of my party wanted crème brûlée. The fruit was totally frozen and it was like soup. This place has really run down. It’s a shame that the the Roaring Fork area has no I MEANNOPLACETOEAT!

This place has gone down hill in the past few years. Service was relatively poor, and the food was mediocre and very overpriced for Thanksgiving. Drinks weren’t made right and had little alcohol in them. It’s just very dissapointing because this used to be an excellent retaurant.

Stopped here on Thanksgiving, one of the few restaurants open in Glenwood Springs on the holiday. They were booked solid with reservations, but the manager said we could eat in the bar area — so glad we did! My first observation was the staff, they are outstanding. Everyone was extremely friendly, eager to be of service, particularly the manager/hostess and the bartender. A busy afternoon with a full house and we received better service than many restaurants we frequent in the Denver area! A relish plate and delicious, freshly made pretzel bread started our meal. We both ordered the traditional Thanksgiving meal — turkey, stuffing, cranberry sauce, mashed potatoes and green beans. When you factor in that were didn’t have to cook or cleanup, it was better than home cooked. The turkey had good flavor and texture, turkey and stuffing were very moist, just the way I like it. A full plate of food that we couldn’t quite finish. Pumpkin pie for dessert was also included. We were«stuffed» from the meal, they happily offered to box up the pie so we took it to go. Prices were very reasonable for the service and quality we received. Regular menu items looked interesting and plates we saw going to other tables looked delicious — one, a giant slab of prime rib with twin lobster tails! We’ve been coming to Glenwood for years, this was our first visit to Rivers, we will definitely return in the future. Did I forget to mention the location along the river with a view up the valley of Mt. Sopris?

Food was outstanding! Wait staff is incredibly wonderful! The reason for the 3 stars is the menu. Used to a wonderful gluten free friendly menu. Now there are few options. When I asked about the grilled salmon & what part of that dish had gluten, the waiter came back & said its all gluten free. Then I wondered what else was gluten free that wasn’t labeled as such. Used to have a fabulous gluten free veggie lasagna. That wasn’t GF anymore either. Hopefully, its a matter of correcting the menu. I hate to have to ask about several dishes. It would be nice for it to be noted correctly so one doesn’t feel like a pain in the butt! Food is exceptional! Servers are fabulous! Would go back if menu was fixed and there truly are more Gluten Free options.

First, I should note this is was my first time at this restaurant and might be my last, because you get ONE shot at making a first impression. Read on… The location is beautiful, right on the river! The patio deck is delightful. The restrooms and interior of the restaurant was clean. That being said, I ordered the quiche which was served with«home style potatoes». It was terrible. lol… Like, actually terrible. The quiche was«ok», but was quite a decent size which was nice. The potatoes were awful. They were tiny potato squares(about ½″ by ½″)… the kink that come in bulk and are deep fried before being served. They were dry, cold and hard. The dish needed some sort of sauce to compliment the quiche– a choice of salsa would have been great. In the end, I ate the quiche and left the potatoes, as no amount of ketchup seemed to help the situation at all. What do you say to a server when she asks how everything is? I was embarrassed that the food was so bad haha. I did not know what to say, mainly because I was starving. *Side note: the patio would look so much better with glass fencing instead of the large, brown, high, wooden fence that is there currently on the deck. Why not maximize the view a little more?

What a great place to have lunch out side by the river. Great scenery to enjoy while you enjoy your entre. I have the grilled hamburger with a side salad, I couldn’t stop making yum noises with every bite. I have never done that with a meal before. It was cooked to my liking juicy and flavorful with every bite. The salad was leafy and plentiful with alfalfa sprouts, tomatoes, cucumber and topped with a not so sweet raspberry vinaigrette. Great place to have lunch so many great food choices. I really enjoyed coming to this local establishment with great service from waiter.

While traveling through the town of Glenwood Springs, I was wanting to go to a local place and not to a big chain restaurant. This is when the power of the Unilocal app come in handy. This place was very picturesque sitting out on the back deck next to the river. The service was fast, efficient, and friendly. The food was amazing in taste, quality, appearance and value. A true must visit restaurant for travelers and locals alike.

This restaurant was awesome! Sitting on the deck was the perfect way to wind down our evening. Then the food came and it was as good as we’d hoped. I would’ve given it 5 stars but there is always riom for improvement. For instance I had expected a little nicer furniture on the patio of such an amazing restaurant. Other than that it was EXCELLENT.

The food is always good here and if you are looking for a place to eat good food and also be able to hear the person you are with, they have a carpeted dining room so It is quiet. The chef makes everything from scratch here from the dinner rolls to the deserts. The patio is on the roaring fork river if you’d rather eat outside.

The NY strip was amazing. For some reason the kids mac and cheese had a foul flavor. Our server Kim offered to replace it with Linguini with Alfredo sauce and that was delicious.
