The WORST service you could ever have at a restaurant. And it isn’t just isolated to servers(plural). Add in moody bartender and above it all hostess. Kudos to kitchen staff for making tasty food but we(the collective we) will happily tear up our $ than spend one cent at this restaurant. The end of story. PS We were super easy guests too…

Pretty cool place. Its very popular so getting a table takes a bit. Located in this small mountain town everyone knows everyone and is eager to make new friends. I has some pretty awesome conversastions with the locals. They love it there. The beer selection was really nice, they have a rotating selection of different craft beers so its always something new.

Fresh ground beef, or ur choice of a mix of meats. Honestly one of the best burgers I’ve had I didn’t make at home myself. Could be the BEST fried mushrooms I’ve ever had. A good thick batter, sorta a Tempura batter. Awesomeness! Fun, trindy spot. Kinda hard to find. Its under a bridge. Literally. And the prices were above reasonable. A nice shock for such a fun place. A deff MUSTTRY!

Food 3.5, poor service brings overall score to a 2. Waitress seemed only to wait on us to keep her job.

Disclaimer: I’m a local. As of this review, the restaurant is in its third location. Its very popular with locals and tourists. The beef is quality and locally raised and there are lamb, fish and chicken sandwich options. The sandwiches are excellent and the sides are pretty damn good too. Some of the staff are pretty young so I can see the possible service complaints, but I’ve never had any issues and I’ve been going here since they opened. What sets this restaurant apart, at least for me, is the top notch craft beer they have. I’m a really big fan of sour beer and they’ll have at least one on tap and possibly a bottle as well. Also, another big bonus for me is they’ll show PROPER football(that’d be soccer to most of you) on at least one the screens. I caught a game from La Liga(Spanish league) last night. Sour beer + futbol = awesome! If only the pinball game wasn’t out of order, I’d be in heaven. Yeah I know, I have weird priorities. Good for families too.

Great food. Awesome beer selection. Chill environment to hang out in. Service leaves much to be desired. We arrived right before the second half of the NE/KC game and told the host we wanted to get some drinks, watch the games and would eat later. Never once did anyone come to where we were sitting to take an order. Not one single person introduced themselves. Every time we wanted anything, we had to track down a server, a bartender, a bus boy. BYW our bill came out to $ 100 so we were not babysitting beers to take up space and watch the game. They have an AWESOME wide screen so we hung out to watch the game. We were there for about 6 hours. My wife asked for our water pitcher to be filled 7 times(we spent the day at the amazing vapor caves and needed to rehydrate). When she went to the bar to ask to order wings to go, she was told she couldn’t order it because it «doesn’t work as a to go food.» Well missy, Buffalo Wild Wings and Hooters beg to differ. The bar tender brought our Chili cheese fries 20 minutes later and dropped off our requested check with a «here’s your check». **crickets**(thank you should have been somewhere in here right!!!)

We just came in for a drink because we liked how happy and buzzy it felt. It’s a burger joint with good sports screens at the bar. Limited wine choices but the red was quite drinkable. Good beer.

Grind didn’t disappoint, but also didn’t impress. We first tried to go at night, but a long wait sent us down the road to Slope & Hatch(delicious!!). The next afternoon we stopped by for lunch and were satisfied, but not blown away. You order as soon as you walk in, so we didn’t have too many problems with the service. We ordered the South by Southwest burger, with an avocado spread, lettuce, peppers and a beef burger. All the burgers came with fries — thin cut, not much seasoning. We also ordered a chocolate shake here. Nothing special, but yummy. The burgers were average. Interesting combinations, but nothing to rave about. Grind is a large open layout with a bar, booths, and large flatscreen TVs, all with football. It was a fun atmosphere and a nice place to kill an hour or two while waiting for a train, but wasn’t our favorite spot in Glenwood Springs.

I always want to go to local Restaurants because I know how each tries to establish itself BUT this was like begging for SERVICE! The food was outstanding, very nicely plated, nice blends but smaller portions before — so I give the food 4. We were a party of six adults and had a two year old. Business wise — no crayons for the little one and they ran out of bacon which was part of many dishes. As my daughter works for a five star Restaurant in Denver, the bacon shortage was explained but the service was not. He did come over to ask what we wanted to drink within 4 minutes but we asked for a few minutes before ordering our food. After this, he went to the bar to talk to his friends. Where he pretty much stayed a majority of the evening. We asked for an adult milkshake and after 15 minutes, it hadn’t been started. We had to interrupt his friendly chat and wait at the bar while he made the drink, resulting it being made and delivered 20 – 25 minutes after ordering in a half full restaurant. It was annoying to see him hanging out the bar, chatting with friends and not really interested in his tables. Not sure I will be going back. Great for couples, NOT for families go somewhere else.

Compliments to the chef, the food was great, I’d give it a 4. The rest of the restaurant would get a zero if Unilocal let me. First off, had to track down our own waiter after waiting for 15 minutes after being seated. Our waiter was also higher then a kite, to each their own but not while working, seriously? Ordered our food and drinks. Then waited 20 minutes for a grasshopper shake. Walked up to the bar where our ‘waiter’ was too busy talking to another employee who had just gotten off the clock. They admitted he forgot it… why did I have to remind my waiter and wait 25 minutes? We also viewed another customer walk into the back where the kitchen is. Really confused about that one. Not worth the trouble, you’ll work more for your food then it is worth…

I was very happy with the food we ate here. I shared the Greek lamb burger, and the black bean burger, onion rings and french fries. They also have a large draft and bottle beer list. I was dubious, at least at first when we sat, because they literally grind all the proteins, and have one cook temp, which is med well. I had misinterpreted the Grind as in grinder. Do not worry child, it is good! I would eat there again– when in Glenwood Spirngs.

Ugh, where to start? The burger would have been great if I was ordering off the kids menu. For 12 dollars this was the worst burger I’ve had in a while. The bun was good, but twice the size of the burger(normal sized bun). It’s really easy to burn a burger when it’s as small as what this restaurant serves, so I’ll cut the cook some slack for that one. The french fries were fine, but you had to eat them with a fork because they were so small. This place is greasy!!! The floors are slimy and so are the ketchup bottles(I stopped touching thing at that point). If you value your dollar, I think there’s better places to go!!! Burger king?

We went for lunch on a Sunday and got in right away. You need to order your food before you sit, which is a departure from the norm but I like it. I love the concept, but thought that there were a few ways they could have knocked it out of the park. We got the sxsw and tandoori, bison and lamb respectively. The buns are fantastic, and the meat was great. I think the greens need work, I’m not a big fan of iceberg lettuce. Tweaking the sauces could help as well. The fries were very good, and the Mac and cheese was great. 3.5 stars.

After riding bikes all day we were really craving a good burger! This place looked really interesting so we popped in! We went around 4pm, when we walked in we went straight up to the counter to order and we’re giving a number. Staff was very friendly and helping in answering our questions! They have an option for grass fed beef for a light charge. Very trendy atmosphere! I got the Richie’s Burger and me husband got the American. Both were absolutely delicious! The more I think about it, the more in craving another burger! Fries were very thin and some might say they were on the greasy side but I really liked them! They also had a great bar and the drink menu actually told you the alcohol content, oz, and prices. Very informative! I really like this place and I’ll be coming back here next time I’m in town!

I know the place is called Grind and the name refers to their freshly ground patties… but I went ahead & ordered a vegetarian burger anyway! No regrets. The vegetarian Mayan burger had a dark colored patty made of black bean. I loved the patty and have never seen a veggie burger made with bean patty before. It also had lettuce, roasted anaheims, pepita salsa, chipotle mayo, crispies & was $ 6 for a ¼ lb patty. A friend of mine asked for a well done burger but had hers undercooked so minus a star for that. For those that prefer meat patties, they offer beef, pork, lamb and buffalo patties. The pink squirrel adult milk shake was delicious! It had crème de noyaux(almond liquor), crème de cacao, & vanilla ice cream. It was definitely more of a dessert/milkshake than it was a cocktail because the alcohol flavors were pretty subtle. I also tried the 21st birthday adult milk shake(birthday cake vodka & vanilla ice cream) & loved it too(though slightly less than the pink squirrel because the birthday cake was a tad sweeter). Milkshakes are $ 8(more than the burger!). Other pros: 20 craft beer options on tap & a modern/trendy/industrial/fun ambience.

Great, friendly service, a good selection of beers, and a tasty looking menu. I would have to say my biggest complaint and reason for deducting a star is that the food was good, but everything needed just a little extra seasoning or condiments on it to really pack a punch of flavor. I bit into my BBQ pork burger and my immediate thought was, «Did they forget to season the meat?» I ended up salting and dipping every bite in a side of chipotle ranch that I ordered on the side. Same with the fries: I’m a French fry fanatic. I don’t often meet a fry I don’t like. I think they need to make them a liiiittle more crispy and season them more and they would be on point. I had to add salt to those as well. The mushroom buttons were a good side and we really enjoyed the macaroni and cheese! A great spot with a few TVs, booths, high tops, and a spacious bar. I would go back!

Great food. All sorts of vegetarian and gluten free options. I got the sultan which is essentially a flalaffel pita on a bun instead of a pita. Really good. The fries here are awesome too.

Two hyperboles: Most hipster bar ever. The Crispy Cauliflower was the best 4 $ I have ever spent.
