Something different and delicious. Passing through and followed the star rating to this place. Everyone in the group had something different and all was good. Start of with the sampler and proceed from there.

Excellent staff, the sampler was a great idea to figure out what everyone likes. Po boy’s were delicious, not your father’s root beer is a new favorite! Highly reccomend!

This was the greatest service I have ever had. I believe her name was Tamara. She went above and beyond for every single customer she had in the restaurant. I have never been asked if I wanted a to-go cup for my water when I was leaving before this, my drink never even got below ¾ full, and she made recommendations for almost everything without being asked and made us feel very relaxed and comfortable the whole time. There were a few people who were a little rude in the restaurant and she treated them exactly the same, never wavered for a moment. In addition to the amazing service, the food was crazy good. I plan to come here every time I am in Glenwood Springs.

The seafood gumbo is the best I’ve ever had, so far. Never been to New Orleans but this place feels like I’m close to it! Live band, awesome awesome band of three dudes. The red bean and rice and jambalaya are also solid dishes. Had a cup of each and taking some leftovers back. The bowl of seafood gumbo was engulfed within mins by the hubby and I(mostly me). Live band dudes are friends with the owners and they are totes cool.

Very friendly atmosphere with delicious food. The crawfish étouffée was fabulous and my husband enjoyed the catfish. We also had the fried okra — really well seasoned and a huge portion(we couldn’t finish it!). Also, they bring out a free sampler of the various menu options as soon as you sit down, which makes ordering much easier.

Food is excellent, very authentic! I gave them 5 stars for the food but their prices are a tad on the high side(3 stars for prices). They also need to add a 2 item and 3 item«combo» to their menu, this way you could get 2 or 3 smaller cups and be able to enjoy multiple flavors. I would love to get a standard restaurant soup cup size of each(seafood gumbo, jambalaya and crawfish etoufee) as a meal.

1. Staff is super awesome and friendly, make you feel at home 2. The food is insanely awesome. The red beans and rice were divine. And the fried catfish was the best ive ever had. The french fries were super good as well. 3. Better than the creole food in new orleans hands down, im always visiting nola cus my cousin lives there and the food at the lost bean literally takes a dump on every restaurant in new Orleans. 4. Thank you so much for the wonderful experience and we will be seeing you again my friend!

Absolutely LOVE The Lost Cajun! I haven’t been able to find a good cajun joint since I moved to Colorado until they came to town! The owners are fantastic too!

Real Cajun! Excellent! Catfish, crawdads,. They give you a free sample platter with six different samples. They are all excellent. They were out of alligator when I was there so I got the next best thing. Catfish. The cook is a bit obnoxious, shouting out about the food but the food is excellent. They have a few locations but this is the first. I will definitely return to try other dishes.

I wish I could give 20 stars to this restaurant. This is BYFAR the best restaurant food I’ve had in YEARS! When you walk in, the owners greet you like you you’re long lost friends. Then, they give you a gumbo sampler platter. The only bad thing about this restaurant is having to choose what to eat. Seriously! We had the lobster bisque, the seafood gumbo, the andoullie sausage and Cajun stir fry shrimp. I cannot tell you which was my favorite bcz everything was so fantastic. The food was aromatic, creamy, filling, had flavors that beckon you to keep eating. I went into gastronomic paradise at this restaurant. BESTEVER!!!

A must go! Perfect for summer eats on the patio, or winter eats when you need to get warm and cozy fast! Having eaten at the Lost Cajun in Frisco, we knew that we would not be disappointed by the quality and flavors here… What we couldn’t have known is that this place is so friendly, warm and cozy on a frigid day like today. Out-of-sight gumbos, étouffée and bisque. Fried catfish and nummy potato salad. Very family and large group friendly, and the price is right!

If you are looking for fine dining… pass this place by. But if you want some excellent cajun fare while enjoying the beauty of Glenwood Springs you won’t beat the Lost Cajun. They offer a sampler so that you can try out the different options before you order. Our party of 5 had started with hush puppies, then had red beans and rice, fried shrimp, cat fish and finished off the night with ben-yeahs. The ice tea was freshly brewed and there was a cooler full of cold beer. The staff is southern style friendly. GEAUXTHERE.

We started with appetizers of Fried Okra and a basket of Hush Puppies. It was the biggest basket of Okra we’ve ever seen. 8 tasty, round Hush Puppies. Almost couldn’t eat dinner. :) Our entrées were Catfish Strips with Crawfish Étouffée and a bowl of Seafood Gumbo. Not sure if the Seafood Gumbo changes but ours has Crab and Shrimp in it. Tasted good to the last drop. The Catfish strips were fried just right. Fresh and moist, and not greasy. Not«fishy» tasting at all. Wish there had been more Étouffée on it but it was still really good. Would definitely get it again. Both entrees came with garlic bread and a serving of potato salad. We both had a beer(I believe they had 5 – 6 Louisiana originated beers, no cocktails served here.) We finished with a to-go order of 2 Beignets(a square fried dough that’s sprinkled with confectioners/powdered sugar… sort of like a Mexican sopapilla.) Very tasty. Saw a sign that says The Lost Cajun also takes orders for whole Cajun Deep-fried Turkey for Thanskgiving.

This was a nice stop on our trip home to Denver. The begneits here were very delicious, and from the local hotel we had coupons to get them for free. We also got vegetarian gumbo, which is the first time we’ve seen it anywhere. This was a casual place and the staff was friendly.

Really solid casual option in a busy tourist spot. Super friendly servers ready to answer menu questions. They provide you samples of the menu highlights when you sit down. Great lobster bisque and gumbos. My husband loves Abita’s Turbodog and was elated to see they serve it here. The okra looked great, I wish we ordered that instead of the sausage appetizer. The sausage was over cooked and not very flavorful, served with a side of yellow mustard. The table next to us chose wiser with the okra. It looked hand battered and they said it was great. I was slight disappointed in the beignet batter and the étouffée but honestly overall a great menu with a very short wait time in a tourist town.
