I love cracker barrel! I only get breakfast food here, because, well, you don’t go to pancho villa for the french fries, you know? Every time i come here there are a few items i must have! Hash brown casserole, eggs over medium, and bacon. I’m not the biggest fan of their sausage, as it’s a bit spicy for me, but if i order grits i don’t mind it crumbled into them. Grits, biscuits, French toast and pancakes are what determine which meal i select. Let me start by saying i do not like pancakes. I don’t like them homemade and i don’t like them at ihop. I’m not sure what they do differently at cracker barrel, but holy crap it’s amazing! They taste like butter and have a slight crisp edge to them! The syrup is always slightly warmed and complements them perfectly! I love to eat my runny eggs mixed in with the hash brown casserole and if i have biscuits, i put butter and a variety of the jelly packets on them! I cut them in half and each half(i usually get two biscuits) i use a different jelly on. The biggest problem with cracker barrell is that is all wooden seats. I love a booth seat, but i guess that doesn’t fit their image. Also the games on the table are awesome, as well as the fact that i always get seated near the fireplace! I love being toasty warm! Emily at the cash register is always a delight, very informative and a great sales person! She usually has an item to showcase and convince me to purchase! During the week amy(i think that’s her name…95% sure) is a great server, on the weekends i seem to get natasha and she’s amazing as well– and i was in the server business for ten years, so I’m very critical! If she’s there you definitely want to ask for her! Great staff can make a subpar meal a pleasant experience, although i never have any problems with that, at least not at this location!

There aren’t any Cracker Barrel Restaurants in California so this was a special treat for us on our vacation along the east coast. All time favorite breakfast ever. Need to open some along the west coast!!! 5rating.

Fast and good. Except the paper attached to my turkey sausage and the hair on it. They replaced my sausage but still disgusting.

Wow! What a disappointment! Ordered the special of the day — turkey with dressing. Dressing had no moisture at all. It was a pile of bread crumbs. Turkey had some sort of skin on the outside with bone dry meat. Mashed potatoes were also dry; even the gravy couldn’t save them. My carrots were missing. Asked waitress and she said, «Oh, I think they said something about being out of them.» Um… so…think you might have mentioned it? I had to ask her about the missing side and then told her I’d take green beans instead. Guess what came out? Plain carrots with nothing on them. They were so dry they appeared white. They looked like old carrots someone threw in the microwave. The whole meal looked and tasted like it had been made 8 hours prior and sat on a warmer drying out. The biscuit I was given was bone dry with a burnt bottom. No butter. Even the drink was disappointing. The menu said apple cider in a frosty mug; I got a plain glass. The waitress added a glass of ice. Guess she figured it was a substitute for the frosty mug? Nope. I conveyed my disappointment to the waitress who relayed it to the kitchen so loudly I and the entire dining area could hear her. Talk about embarrassing! The manager’s response to all of this was lacking. She took off only the price of my inedible meal, offered to have the inept(now probably ticked off cook) make me something else. Um, really? I declined concerned. She then said she’d put my name on some list for a free meal next time. However, she didn’t write my name down, so I’m inclined to think this«list» doesn’t exist. Still had to pay for my drink and my daughter’s meal. Waitress kept saying it wasn’t her fault in an attempt to protect her tip. I think Cracker Barrel was poorly represented all around tonight.

I dined at this restaurant on 7-25-2015 at about 8:30 pm. What a mismanaged mess! The food was good, but the service really stinks. The waiters were all busy, clearing tables for about 20 minutes after we were seated. The place was only ¼ full and the misapplication of labor caused a delay of 25 minutes for someone to get round to taking my order. When the order arrived, plates were plopped down in front of us, with the bill. No one ever came back to check on us(there were 2 of us) until were were sitting there AFTER the meal. There were many people seated near and around us and the place was quite noisy-to the point that we were having a hard time speaking to each other because we could, even though we were seated next to each other, we could not hear and understand what the other person was saying. I was surprised(offended) when a waitress physically grabbed me by my right shoulder and shook me. She said, «Hey bud, you want more iced tea?» This was not even a tap on the shoulder, but a physical(almost angry) clutching her hand on my shoulder and shaking my body. I paid the bill at the cash register and reported the incident to the manager(name unknown, there were 2 and he was the only African American manager). He laughed and thought it was funny. He soon knew I was seriously unhappy. When He presented my credit card receipt to sign, he asked me if I wanted to leave a tip. I replied a tip or gratuity is given To Insure Prompt Service, not to pay for someone assaulting me. The service can be summed up as Very Bad and employee misconduct. I’m never eating there again and will tell everyone I know,

Tried again for that amazing breakfast but walked out after our server ignored us for fifteen minutes. Get your table some drinks or don’t take new tables. This place won’t see us again. I’ll really miss the food, but it’s not worth the terrible service every time. Huge disappointment. Management has a lot of work to do.

Server was nice. They don’t have omelets on the menu but they make them. It must be a secret item or something even the ingredients in the omelet itself were hidden. Only 3 to 4 diced pieces of bacon or sausage. Oh well.

I generally eat here every Saturday and Sunday morning. I usually arrive around 6:15/6:30 so there are actually more employees than customers at this time. Crazy thing is that I usually have to waive someone down to get seated. Take this morning for instance, I walk in and stand by the hostess station. The nice lady at the register pleasantly greets me and goes on about her business. After a few minutes I tell her I’m going to grab a menu and seat myself. Her only recommendation is that I should get my own silverware too. REALLY?! Listen, I BLANKING love Cracker Barrel, but this is getting out of hand. I would understand if the place was packed and there was a twenty minute wait. How hard is it to either have someone at the hostess station or put a sign up that says«seat yourself were to busy waking up to do it»?

As always the food at Cracker Barrel is great, I had a salad that was very fresh and came out right on time. My reasons for the 3 stars: — ordered a baked sweet potato and the server informed us that it would be 30 mins at 630 pm on Friday. — server seemed annoyed by my nephew and niece and their antics, they’re 5 and 3 years old. This is a family store. Either way, Cracker Barrel is still one of my favorites, just not the best experience this time.

Awesome setting. The entire place is outfitted with true country and rustic themes. The staff was courteous and timely. The food… Was … Amazing. Other reviews may steer people away but the service and food was great. Highly recommended.

First Thanksgiving at Cracker Barrel. We had a party of 8 and we were told it would be 1.5 hours. The staff was friendly. They were engaging with the customers. The wait was actually about an hour. The Thanksgiving dinner was a good price for what it included: turkey, dressing, sweet potato casserole, rolls or corn muffins, cranberry sauce with a choice of a side. Pumpkin pie was the dessert all for $ 10.99. We were pleased and everything tasted great. The staff did a great job considering the amount of people trying to get in and out of this busy location. Good job. We will return.

They ran out of meatloaf and did not bother to tell us until after all of our food came out. The food we did get was good though.

Service was incredibly slow, and part of my order never arrived. Multiple tables getting up and leaving before orders could be taken. They were busy, but not excessively so.

Very poor. Tasted like it came from a can. Avoid unless you like bad food. Service was passable. Meal temperature was good.

We had a pleasant experience this Fathers’s Day. Our waitress(Shannon) was professional and personable. The Double Meat Breakfast was well cooked, and the pancake(extra) was really good too. The only downside to this experience was the horrible coffee. My wife prefers thinner coffee, but she was the one to ask for stronger coffee. Shannon double-brewed us a pot but it was still bleeeccchhhh.

I don’t know why my friends are so obsessed with this place haha but whatever. I just want to comment on the wait time. I was pretty impressed the way they handled hundreds of runners after the Marine Corps Half Marathon last weekend. This place was PACKED with hungry runners. The wait time turned out to be 25 – 30 minutes(which was good) plus we played checkers on the porch so it went by fast. And our food came out in a timely manner. They handled the crowds well.

Basic food done adequately. Buttermilk pancakes are fair and they do give you a generous amount and the turkey sausage is nicely seasoned. They provide«natural syrup» which is a blend of maple syrup and cane sugar – I prefer this over artificial maple syrup, although up til a few years ago they used to serve real maple syrup. Biscuits are decent. Their coffee needs work though, very bland and no body. The country market adjacent to the restaurant has lots of crafty type bric a brac and candies.

My Fiancé and I both got an egg sandwich. Usually not something you can mess up. I got my eggs over medium and the yolk was cold by the time it was brought to our table. Not only did it take 4 min for our server to even greet us, but she never even returned to our table to drop off our food, ask how it was or if we needed anything else or bring the check. I love Cracker Barrel and I’m sure well be back. I hope next time maybe they’ll be staffed more accordingly or the servers will have it together.

Was quite unhappy with Cracker Barrel experience a few days ago. It started off with the waitress accidentally spilling lemonade on my friend. It wasn’t a good experience for him because he was sticky through out lunch. But to top it off at the end the waitress gave us the wrong receipt. When we checked out we had to wait until we received ours. Quite disappointing. Also, while having lunch there I noticed the waitress would leave people’s check on the table before people even started their meal. It doesn’t make food enjoyable when you haven’t started eating. I will not be returning to cracker barrel.

*3.5* I love Cracker Barrel. Usually, on my way back from Richmond, my friend and I will meet up at this location for what we call«Epic Breakfast». I have a hard time choosing breakfast options in the morning, they are all so tempting. The staff isn’t super attentive but they are friendly(but I am here to eat, not chat so I don’t really care). I find myself having to add salt or pepper to most things, but that obviously doesn’t keep me from coming here. I am in love with their bacon. And I can’t say no to a biscuit with apple butter. Mmmmm… There’s really nothing special about this place, but I have never had a bad experience here, and just writing about it makes me want to go back.
