Went last weekend for a basic pedicure. The price was good. The place looked clean. The man doing my pedicure was friendly. The reason I will never go back: When he started to do the clipping/triming of my nails, he reached into a drawer and it looked like he was not using a freshly sterilized package of instruments. When I challenged him on it, he went to look for some. After rummaging around in a few drawers for a few minutes, he finally returned with some. If he had not, I would have been out the door. I do not want the risk of exposure to Hep C, HIV, or something else, which is quite possible if the interments are not properly sterilized. This makes me think they do not regularly practice proper cleaning of the instruments. Therefore, I would recommend staying far away from this place. I did like the salt scrub/rub on my legs. But, the polish did not get put on my nails all the way to the cuticle. Some look like it’s been a couple of weeks instead of a couple of days since they were done. Think I will just redo them myself and try a different salon next time.

This was one of the few nail spas opened on 4th of July at the time. Unfortunately, it wasn’t what I expected for a pedicure. I could have painted them better at home. The employees however were nice. The nail polish color selection was extremely limited. I will continue experimenting with different locations until I find the right one.

Just came in here last Thursday to have my nails done paid for gel and white tip came to about 40 bucks. I complained to the technician that the nails weren’t even glued all the way down to my nail bed and she said that it was fine once the gel went on. I complained ab one particular nail more than once so she finally replaced it. Needless to say I was very unhappy with the results by Sunday I had two nails missing one fell off right in my hand when I was throwing something in the trash away. Very disappointing considering I tipped her well knowing i was unhappy when I left. Won’t be coming here anymore.

Princess nails was one of the first nail shops that I started going to when I first moved to Fredericksburg, but needless to say I no longer go to Princess. Princess was good for the time being until I found a shop that I liked better and over time I did. This was not the worse shop I have been to, but I knew there had to be better out there and there was. I now go to Sindy’s nails. I use to go to a girl named Kim but I stopped going when she went on maturity leave and that’s when I was forced to actually look for a new shop and when I found Sindy’s I never looked back. I didn’t trust anybody else to do my nails and toes but Kim, and I am VERY picky with who does my service. So once she went on leave, I stopped going. Princess also did not have a wide selection of nail colors. I am the kind of girl that likes my nail and toe polish to match and it was hard because they might have one color available in regular color but not available in gel for the hands. Not having a good color selection or having a matching color selection is a big turn off for me and will cause me to not come back. Overall I wouldn’t suggest this nail shop, just got to Sidny’s Nails, you’ll love them ! :)

I went here because it was convenient when I was on this side of town. That was a mistake. I wanted shellac & a polish change on my toes. I was greeted immediately and was told it would be about a 5 minute wait & was given a basket of fake nails & told to pick my shellac color. I also picked out my toenail polish. It ended up being more of a 20 minute wait before being brought back to a chair. When the tech came to get me, she came over, picked my purse up off the table, said to follow her(damn right, you got my purse!), and set it on another table we would be at later, and led me to a pedicure chair. She was gentle, but not precise. Halfway through polishing my toes, she had to add something(nail polish remover? Acetone? Gasoline? Paint thinner?) to the bottle and shake it to have enough to finish the job. The only reason I mention this is because my big toe nail ended up with multiple layers and blotches. It was a dark glittery color so I didn’t notice until I left the shop & got in the sun. It made it look like it got scuffed pretty bad. Also, my nails were not so good. This was only the second time having shellac, but had it been my first, I would have never done it again! It was all over my cuticles & on one finger, she pretty much missed the whole side of my nail! Within a couple days, the backs were peeling b/c it curved up from being on my took everything I had not to pick at it. All the tools were kept in the drawer so I don’t know if they were in the sterilizer liquid or even clean for that matter. The shop over all was dark but tidy. The staff not overly friendly or welcoming. There was a girl who came in after me who wanted tips with gel. There was a lot of confusion between her & the man helping her. After it was settled, the lady doing my nails chimed in. I have no idea WHAT she said to the man, but I didn’t have to… Her mocking tone said it all And the best part… The last go-round under the nail light, the lady told me my hands were not in far enough. I looked down onto the light so I wouldn’t put my hands in too far & smudge the tips and there was a dead dried up bug(mosquito?). Yep, I won’t be going back here.

We were greeted and helped promptly even though we were walk ins. The shop itself was very clean and relaxing. Prices and services were clearly marked and pretty competitive. The only thing it was lacking was in the color selection for your nails, it was pretty limited. The nail techs were thorough and did a great job. I will head back the next time I’m in the area.

I was a walk-in in hopes of a pedicure and manicure. When I walked in, there was only 1 person working. He was neither friendly nor helpful. Granted, he was helping someone else but he didn’t even offer up a hello or guidance of what I should do. I saw a sign in sheet so I decided to try that and then sat down and waited… and waited. Finally about 5 minutes later a girl rushed in with her lunch and looked surprised that there were customers. She put her things down and then asked who had arrived 1st. She rushed the other woman off and never once made contact with me. I gave it a few more minutes because I REALLY wanted to get my nails done, but after 10 minutes of being ignored I decided to leave. There are WAY too many places in Fredericksburg that do nails to accept this crappy service.
