Wife was a little scared by the«B» rating in the window, but what the hell, when in Rome eh? Staff was very friendly, and the breakfast was awesome and tasted plenty clean. I got Eggs Benedict, which was thick & rich, wife had french toast and our daughter had a big pancake, with a Mickey Mouse shape for extra appeal! Also had oatmeal which was good & eggs & bacon. Would surely repeat as this place is off the main drag where the lines are 30 – 45 minutes for breakfast. Wanted to try their dinner friday night, but alas, they are only open for dinner sat/sun? Oh well, maybe next trip. Visited 10÷2÷15.

Short & sweet service was excellent the food was very tasty, I loved the service. And the fact that my dog was welcomed made this an awesome experience! The owners very very friendly too!

Decided to try a new place for breakfast. Service was good but the food was not so good my breakfast came cold(Chicken fried steak and eggs). I would probably not come back nor would I recommend this restaurant, at least for breakfast.

This place is awesome! Stopped in without consulting Unilocal!first and were pleasantly surprised to find a full German-Food menu, along with many sandwiches, soups and salads. My wife and I both opted for salads — she had a Cobb and I went for the Chicken Caesar. Both were huge and fresh with lots of excellent dressing. We will come back for sure to try the German Food real soon. Our server Cherie(sorry, not sure about spelling) was very attentive and friendly. Only possible downside — the décor looks like it has been in place since 1968 — if this doesn’t bother you(and hopefully it doesn’t) the food is great! Highly recommended!

We have a friend who has a second home in Big Bear and highly recommended the Log Cabin Restaurant. We were not disappointed, and are unsure how we’ve missed this gem! The restaurant is right along Big Bear Blvd, right before the village. We stop every time we are in town now, and it has become our family’s favorite. Great German food, love the potato pancakes and I enjoy just about every«schnitzel» I can find on the menu! This is the kind of place that makes you feel like you’re eating at home, and you can even find live music here on the weekends. Take a minute to stop, you won’t be disappointed with the friendly service and great food!

Great food! Cute building! The wait was a bit long and the staff seemed a little frazzled. It was 4th of July weekend so that may have had something to do with the wait. We would eat there again!

I absolutely love this restaurant. I usually stop in here every time I go to Bear to snowboard at the end of the day. They have awesome margaritas and most of the food on the menu is German. I speak German and have been to Germany many times and I love German food. They have American food as well though. The kartoffelpfannkuchen is super good and the schnitzel. I recommend both of those dishes. Service was good and they have a full bar too.

We stopped by this restaurant on our way out. After many disappoints at other restaurants such as Teddy Bear and Himalayan, this place became Big Bear’s saving grace. You’ve got to try their German breakfast. Rich in flavor and bit unique in its flavor, though not a big stray from traditional American breakfast. Anyway, try it. If I’m wrong you can punch me later.

Got here to try the diner style breakfast. Oh man, the food is amazing. The price is excellent. The service, you can’t ask for better service than this(like visiting your parents and your mom is trying to feed you and accommodate you as much as they can). They are extremely friendly and this is one of the main reason why I love diners. Now, the food! This is a German style breakfast restaurant with lots of sausages. I got the German farmer’s breakfast which comes in a giant omelet, bell peppers, onion, potatoes, and bratwursts! Soooooooooo goooooood and so fulfilling! If you love sausages, you gotta try this place! Also, spend a dollar more you get their potato pancakes… Mmmmm! mmmmmmmm
