By far the best security team!!! Harley, Craig, Jacob aka Whiskey and Dave aka The Boss Man. so friendly! I love these guys so much. So generous enough to give us a ride back to our house when no Über Drivers were available. I love these guys so nice this is def the spot to go! It’s poppin! They stay lit | $ 20 min for drinks but if you got friends, you can just buy rounds for each other

Great service and food. We were «just passing through» Big Bear and saw the charming shops and restaurants along Village Drive. Since we had our dog with us, we needed to find dining options that would accommodate her. Whiskey Dave’s wait staff set us up on a porch area in the back that was comfortable and sunny. Our waitress brought our dog water and some bacon. Then we received some complimentary jalapeño poppers. Even though we were «out back», and therefore «out of sight», the service was very attentive. Our dog even received a parade of admirers from the staff. Our food was plentiful and tasty.

Came here on New Years for some drinks and such. I’ve been here a few times before, always a slightly peculiar crowd, but never anything too out of the ordinary. The servers are friendly and the drinks are subpar. I love the pool tables, except for the people that sit on them for 3 hours before you’re able to play a game… poor pool etiquette. I had a blast on new years here. I would come back on a special event night, but that would be about it. Nothing to rave about, but it does the trick if you need a quick drink.

I went to this place with my fiancé this past Saturday night while we were visiting Big Bear. It was pretty busy but the bartenders did a good job of making sure they handled everybody’s orders. The other patrons around us were friendly and we had a great time. We got hungry later in the evening so we ordered the brussels sprouts appetizer which was very good. Next time I come up to the mountains I will definitely come back to this place!

Kamila was our bartender, which was great. She’s a valuable employee. She even had to chase deadbeats down who didn’t pay their bill. Food was good.

First time here and Kamilla was our server/​bartender she was awesome! Always getting anything we needed! She was very nice and attentive and just fun to be around! It was my birthday and she made it awesome! Thank you so much Wiskey Dave’s and Kamilla for a great time I will definitely be back!!!

This is the best bar in Big Bear. Ask for Kamilla. She makes it worth the visit. She has outstanding personality and keeps it a fun and exciting place.

What a fun evening! The food was great, the atmosphere was fun. There are pool tables, dart boards foosball and when I was there a fun live band by the name of Projekt X. I danced all night. The owner Dave was was extremely nice and made sure my friends and I were having a good time. The bartenders, security team and waitress were also very friendly. I would defiantly put this on my «must «visit list the next time I am in town.

Excellent band, decent food and service. Would make that a regular stop when in the area. Loved the pool tables, darts and decent dance floor area. Thanks Dave!

Always a good time at whiskey daves. Live music is pretty rock on! Door man is cool, bartenders are great, never have to wait long for drinks. Prices are a bit high but then it is a ski resort village. Pool tables in a big open area with couches, tables and stools. Fooseball is also a big hit.

This place was the closest joint we could find that was walking distance to our cabin and offered burgers. Of course I’d stop there… cuz that’s what I’m always craving! I love bbq sauce and onion rings in my burger so I got the Cowboy Up Burger. When I ordered it, the waitress never asked how I wanted it cooked and I was too hungry to think about that. So when the burger came and I took a bite, it tasted rather dry. They had cooked it well… I didn’t mind since I was starving. The rest of the flavors made up for it but it definitely didn’t make it to my most fave list. The service was excellent though. Kamila did a great job making sure we were well taken care of.

My husband and I came in for a drink… we went to the «cash only» bar because 1) there were empty seats there (the main bar was full) and 2) we had cash to spend. We sat there for 40 minutes and were NEVER acknowledged by the lone bartender at the empty bar.
I had to go to the busy main bar to get our drinks that were served within 3 minutes. Aaaaand off we are to the next bar… don’t want to stay here and not be taken care of. We are GOOD tippers and this bartender lost out. Sad.

My boyfriend and I visited this bar on New Years Day for dinner. The security guard was great — although there was a $ 5 cover, he let us in for free since we only wanted food.
We sat at the bar and were ignored for about five minutes by the bartender wearing a green shirt. Id give you his name, but he’d make eye contact and quickly look away, so I’ll briefly describe him: the sides of his head were shaved, he looked miserable, and was moving as slow as molasses. He finally told another bartender to take us.
The second bartender asked what we wanted, and when I asked about doing take out, he said «sure!» and walked away. Slightly awkward, but he did come back a minute later. I’m assuming he was very busy picking up the slack of the other bartender. We ordered take out, had two beers, tipped $ 8 because we used to work in restaurants and understand the value of tipping, and left.
I ordered fish tacos. They were fine. But my boyfriend ordered a Burger and fries and couldnt even eat his meal. The Burger was charred beyond the belief of serving it to a customer. The «grilled onions» were hardly cooked, and the fries were simply potatoes soaked in oil. «Undercooked» is an overstatement for those fries.
Like many people on here, we make most of our dining decisions based on Unilocal reviews, so here is the bottom line: this is a place you go to when you want to simply get drunk with friends. Eat beforehand, and if you must eat here, do not order a Burger and fries. Expect slow service and at least one miserable bartender that will ignore you until you get his attention.

Always friendly, good service and nice atmosphere.
The drinks are poured strong and the live band sets the mood just right. On a vacation this became our go to spot to grab a few pints and get loose.
I would recommend this venue to anybody on vacation in big bear.

Typical dive bar. Lots of pool tables, foosball, a dance floor.
Giving them a 4 star because I was drunk.
Probably would give them 3 if I was sober.
The bartenders/​servers were not as attentive as I would like for the amount of people there.
My rec: stop by for a drink, it COULD be fun.

If you’re looking for someplace to go at night in Big Bear, I’d suggest this place. It’s a pretty big place. Good live music and pool tables. Been here a few times and I’ve always had a great time. It was a little weird though that the band there was constantly asking for tips. Even sent their female band member around asking every table. Made it a little uncomfortable.

Whiskey Dave’s is a beacon of light on a cold, windy night. The only place you should get a drink in Big Bear City. From the friendly staff to the rockin’ live music to the delicious (strong!) drinks, this place will warm your heart and soul. We had a blast and will be returning for DJ night tonight.

Good drinks… lots of tables for pool… the food always looks and smells amazing but have yet to feel like eating! ;.(
This is a purdy cool spot!

Prices I guess were pricier than other spots in Big Bear, but coming from LA, they were about average.
It’s a huge spot, so not likely to get crowded. There was a live band when I came in, which was awesome. Great place to grab drinks and play darts!
