The food was excellent, I had shrimp enchiladas that were the best I’ve ever had. This is the best Mexican food in Big Bear and it’s right on the lake so that’s nice too. They make their own tortillas, and the staff is very friendly.

This place has a hidden gem of a patio. Lake View!!! Food was very good and the beer was cold. Will definitely be back.

They only have wine margaritas as they don’t have a liquor license. There food was the worse I have had in a long time. Meat was rubbery, dry and no taste. Salsa was nothing to write home about, except it made up for the dryness of the food.

The food was a mix– the appetizer was fantastic(spicy shrimp, avocados, cucumbers), the burritos were okay(Chile Verde was good, Carne Asada was meh). Keep in mind this is coming from SoCal natives, so our bar is pretty high for a good burrito. However, the service was really great, and they allow dogs, which is a huge plus!

Four and a half stars!(It’s hard to give the full 5 only being here once) Stopped in for a late breakfast/early lunch. We sat out on the patio where they allow dogs(yay!). The patio was so nice with shaded tables and a view of the lake. The food was all delicious. Tableside guac is a must! We also shared machaca and eggs, which came with homemade tortillas that were absolutely amazing. So happy this place is here. Perfect spot to come on a sunny summer day for an ice cold wine margarita(they don’t have hard liquor) and some chips and guac. Will definitely be back!

This place is terrific. The food was great as well as the service. The gf and I ordered a couple bowls of albondigas soup, chips and guacamole, and the molcajete with corn tortillas. Our waitress brought out some freshly made corn tortilla chips and salsa. The chips were warm and airy like flour tortilla chips. She assured me they were corn and made in house. We then were pleasantly surprised to see our waitress make the guacamole in front of us at the table. We were able to see all the fresh ingredients meshed together without any fillers. The portion of guacamole we received was huge. I want to say 2 avocados went into making this appetizer. The guacamole was great! The soup was good. The vegetables were perfectly cooked and the meatballs were good(but not great). Now the molcajete. It came out sizzling with huge plump shrimp. The shrimp were so fresh and large I swear they were flown in that morning. The meat was nicely cooked and seasoned as well. The corn tortillas we had with the meal were hot and beyond delicious. I swore they were made in house however the waitress informed me they were not(just a good supplier). I took one of the tortillas and filled it with the tomato based chorizo placed in the center of the stone molcajete bowl. That’s right. A smokey soup like chorizo concoction. It was sooo good. Add some guacamole to that and you got a meal. Lol. She did tell me they do make flour tortillas in house. Then the bill came. It was around 46 bucks plus tip for this huge delicious meal. We will definitely be coming back to this restaurant.

We decided to give his place a try regardless of the negative reviews. We were very happy with the service. Plus the food was good. We will definitely come back, especially during the summer to sit outside on their patio.

Very disappointed… No flavor… even the salsa with chips had no spice… service was good … Nice location but will not go again.

Decent Mexican food is hard to find in the mountains, so we were happy to stumble across Laguna. There’s a dog-friendly patio, and the food here is ENORMOUS. We shared a mocajete, and we couldn’t even finish it! The kids each had a burrito, with a side of rice and beans — the beans were really good too. Prices were good, and the service was fine.

The food was ok. When we came by there was a blackout happening on and off, which was weird. Food was super salty! I ordered a shrimp burrito, I couldn’t finish it because of the amount salt content. Don’t think I would be back.

We had dinner at this restaurant two nights ago while visiting big bear, I highly recommend this place for great food and service. also this place very kids friendly, they were so kind to modify the kids menu for us as the way that we requested. We will certainly go back to this place again.

The sign outdoors read«Good Food, Good Times» I had neither. Wine margaritas was a bad start and unfortunately it didnt get any better. Bland food, mediocre service and did I mention wine margaritas. Not worth the stop.

This Mexican restaurant is so delicious! My family and I are visiting Big Bear on vacation. I’m picky about my Mex food, hey I’m Mexican I know authentic Mex food! Laguna is absolutely DELICIOUS! Don’t waste your time on this other Mex restaurants on the BLVD. this is the place if you want a very clean restaurant with authentic Mexican food. Fresh handmade flour tortillas and the guacamole is INCREDIBLE! We will back in the morning for breakfast!

Service — very poor. We were the only people in there and the waitress got our order completely wrong after squeezing 6 of us in a 4 person booth. Food — there has to be a good Mexican restaurant in Big Bear but we sure can’t seem to find it. This one was really bad. Guacamole was great — the only positive.
