Our Little Italy

We order from here all the time. The food is always fresh. They have a lot of specialty slices to chose from. If you order a meal with chicken or any meat they definitely give plenty!

The food and people here never dissapoint. From pizza to pasta lunch specials I have yet to find something I didn’t like.

Stopped a few weeks ago to pick up a couple of slices and they were excellent. Decided on getting a couple of take-​out dinners, they were outstanding! The quality of the food plus the size of the portions have made me a return customer. Really good value!

I usually like to visit a few times before I write a review but my pizza was so delicious, I figured why wait?! I’ll focus on the food instead of overall.
I was down the road & figured I’d give it a try. Forgot it was Lent & walked into a mad house. So I grabbed a menu & went back out to my car to call the order in. No dice. Tried 3 times & couldn’t get through. So I walked back in & was greeted warmly even though they were crazy busy.
I ordered a Grandma Pie with Sausage, Pepperoni & Mushroom. The sauce was great! All of the ingredients were fresh. The pepperoni whose spiciness dissipates as it gets older was still spicy. Loved the mushrooms. And the sausage was sliced thin, nice touch.
But my favorite about the whole pie was that all of the toppings were in perfect ratio to each other & the pie itself. I love when everything is spread out evenly. So great job Our Little Italy! I will be back! Thanks Doug W!

The food and specialty pizza here is DELICIOUS!!! I always cater from here and it’s ALWAYS the best!

One of the best pizza I had in long island so far. Think it was genovese pizza. Felt like omelette while eating. It was so good. Other pizza was also very good

Wandered in to grab a quick slice and expected regular Long Island decent enough pizza.
As is the case in a lot of pizza parlors (I still love that expression) there is a glass case with the days variety of pies choose from.
While I waited, a woman in front of my was buying a gift certificate and the owner, or one of the owners, did something so incredibly decent that it instantly made me like the whole feel of the place.
I chose an eggplant slice to go. I was a bit surprised when the tab for it was $ 4.50, but I grabbed it and continued down the road.
One bite and I knew I had found someone who knows how to make a pie.
Nice crispness on the bottom of the crust and the eggplant, sauce and cheese was just perfect.
Had I not been in a hurry I would have turned around for another.
Now my «go to» place is nearby and feeling somewhat disloyal, I meandered back into Our Little Italy a few days later just to see if the slice was a fluke.
No fluke. Second trip convinced me I had indeed found somewhere worth repeated visits.
I will say that on my second trip the slices were given to me lukewarm, having not been heated long enough and that did take some of the «Ooo, and Ahh» out of it, but dang — they do make an excellent pizza.
Staff is very attentive and don’t leave you hanging at the counter waiting to place your order.
Ingredients all appear to be fresh and not cooked to death.
Eat in area in the rear, but it’s 100% pizza parlor — not restaurant kind of seating area.
Eat there informally or take out.
A winner.

The pizza is pretty good for Long Island, probably the best I have had in this general area.
Give them a shot.

I have tried this place a few times since we live in the neighborhood, but have not been back in a few years. I remembered it being ok, but obviously it didn’t stick in my mind. I was having a craving for pizza and since Francesco’s has been closed due to the recent fire, I decided to give them another try. Big mistake– I ordered a few slices to go, one Sicilian and one margarita slice. Yuck — canned sauce, under cooked dough, the worst pizza I have tasted in a long time. I always make fun of the pizza in Buffalo since we often visit, but I was missing their pizza after I ate this poor excuse for slices. I would have given one star, but I will give them the benefit of the doubt since I didn’t sample any entrees.

I will never EVER get tired of this place! The food is so fresh every time! Pizza is just awesome and their dinners are amazing! Fast delivery and friendly staff help make the experience pleasant. I’ve lived down the street for 4 years now and they never disappoint. Food is always hot and tasty when delivered or picked up! Make sure you have a Cannoli; they are delicious!!!

It’s a shame we don’t live on the island because had we this would be a place we would frequent. My family greatly enjoyed their meals. Everything we ordered we ate and what we couldn’t finish we took home. The lunch special was delicious and the price was perfect for our budget. The young waitress was pleasant and very attentive. I was surprised with the great hospitality I mean we were still in the state of New York. (Kidding)

My husband and I don’t live in this area. I was just researching for pizza spots and came across this one. It’s hard to find a really good slice, this place was amazing! All fresh ingredients and taste incredible. We had a Crispino, Plain, Mac and cheese, and a White slice (which was by by far the best we’ve ever had). I will definitely be visiting again.

Great Food & Service
We have been stopping by here for a couple of years and the quality and service have improved in the past year. We stop and do take-​out most times and the order is always right and always well done. The food is of very high quality and prepared very well (cooked correctly, served hot, garnished appropriately). I had a VERY LARGE tossed salad with Grilled chicken on top. The veggies were very fresh and the grilled chicken was warm and tasty. The salad dressing was fantastic. We also had a calzone, chicken roll, sausage roll and pizza. All got rave reviews.
The customer service at this spot is really great. We have never had a problem that wasn’t rectified immediately. The folks behind the counter always seem eager to please. Once we had a server who was not well trained, but the manager quickly interceded and helped sort things out.

Normally we don’t have any problems here but tonight was a train wreck. First off we ordered a pie half peppers & onions and half plain. When we retuned home we saw the pie was half peppers and half onions-​nothing plain. Big problem for the ²⁄₅ of people who don’t eat peppers & onions.
Second, we had ordered a small tossed salad which was just totally sloppy, not completely closed and spilt into it’s bag, and the onion wasn’t sliced. There was a quarter of a red onion sitting on top.
When trying to call we had issues getting through at first then was not allowed to speak with a manager when we asked.
I would rate higher because of past experiences but seeing the poor quality given during a busy time (Friday during Lent) is a huge turn off. I do understand the stress and chaos working in this kind of environment, as I have worked in a deli that is chaotic daily, but the quality and customer service should never be what my family and I experienced tonight.

What a great business. I don’t live in the area, but happen to come across this gem. The place is extremely clean, ingredients are fresh, service was amazing. I came into the restaurant to get food for some friends who live in the area and had a personal tragedy happen to them, I cannot go into detail, but I ended up meeting one of the owners, Jason I believe, who took care of me and assured me that he and his staff would do whatever my friends needed. The guy didn’t know me from adam, but was a gentleman and went above and beyond what anyone would expect. Whenever I am in the area, ill be stopping by this location. I seldom write reviews to begin with… This place def deserves it. –Jim

This is my favorite pizzeria in West Islip. I always loved them, even under the previous management, but they’re even better now. They get all of the points right when it comes to their regular slices. Perfect crust thickness, cheese and sauce mixture, and the sauce itself is evident without being overpowering. It’s really a fine, textbook slice.
However, where they really impressed me was in their Mac and Cheese slice. The fresh pasta and non-​jar cheese was a really tasty surprise. I was on;y going to have a small portion of my granddaughter’s leftover slice, but I wound up scarfing it all down. Damn you, there goes my diet.
Their BBQ Chicken slice is also really good. Not spicy at all, more sweet and juicy. Beats Café Europa and Slices and Ices by miles. The staff is always friendly and helpful. Service is very quick. A definite go-​to.

What a treat to have this wonderful spot exist in West Islip. These people really know how to make a pie! So far I have tried the grandma’s pie, with fresh tomatoes, thick oozy cheese and fresh basil. One look at all of the other pies they have on display and your mouth will water uncontrollably. After your first bite you just might need to drop the wife and put a ring on this pizza!!! MADOOOON!

Mmmmmm.
We had this twice in one week we enjoyed it so much. First time, Sicilian pie. Thick, dense crust, smothered in sauce and cheese. It was even better the next day!
The real winner was the cheese calzone later in the week. Heaping amounts of ricotta and mozzarella pouring out of a freshly baked dough. I could eat this every day

Excellent pizza! I just had a BBQ Chicken slice and it was outstanding! Plus the counter help is extremely friendly. Great place to eat!
