Nicest owners, nicest staff, EXELLENT delivery service, they remember your name and treat you like your part of an Italian family. Whether eating in or delivery by far the best pizza restaurant around. More so for their food than the pizza! EXELLENT! love the stuffed artichokes!!!

The«new» Francesco’s is a totally different dining experience. It was our favorite go to restaurant before the fire. I’m happy they are opened again but We won’t be returning anytime soon. My usual dish had a different taste and I could not finish it. Staff seems unorganized. The tables are too close together. Dining with strangers. So close a woman next to us was looking at our food and asked how it was. Missed it when they were rebuilding and will miss the way it was.

We ate here a week after they reopened from a fire. Always loved the food, but service is very poor and erratic. Had a reservation at 7pm and waited 40 minutes for a table. While waiting I sat at the bar, even though we sat in 2 seats at the bar, we waited 20 minutes to get the bartender’s attention. He was very distracted and overwhelmed.

Much better before the fire. Had a reservation at 8, arrived at 7:55 and was told there was a 45 minute wait– said they were backed up. Rude little woman at front entrance. Finally got a table and service was awful. Wrong food brought to table and for a table of 6, each meal came out 15 minutes apart. Food quality not as good as it was before, even saw cooks getting drinks from bar and looked exhausted. Servers dropping utensils and glassware– what a mess. Focus seems to be on new bar but even that was bad — ordered a Pinot and got a Riesling.

Don’t bother making a reservation here. I made one for 8pm and they told me I would have to wait 45 minutes when I arrived promptly at 8. I understand restaurants get backed up but the fact that they so underestimated the times of their tables was very alarming. I was so looking forward to dining here but I am hesitant to return

Loved Francescos before the fire. Recently just went back for the first time last week. Waited about 15mins on a Sunday for a table, which is decent. The was food was good, but not the same like before. I wasn’t overly impressed with the menu either. But the new vibe of the place is very nice.

Always our favorite restaurant. Just reopened, interior beautiful food awesome, service was terrible. Waitress brought half our salalds, waited 20 min for 2 of the 8 guests to get there’s. Appetizer took an hour and it was calamari. dinner did not come out for 2 hours, no runners short bus boys and Waitress never once apologized for excessive wait. To top it off we paid in cash gave 20% gratuiry, but when they counted money they confronted us with a cheap tip, which it wasnt. Never has anyone ever confronted me with a bad tip, but seriously she got $ 60. Get your old staff back, get runners and more bus boys. Don’t treat your regulars like we don’t matter. For 20 yrs we have celebrated all birthdays anniversary and date nites. Food awesome service terrible!!!

Ordered take out from here last night. Rarely ever order from here. I’m on bedrest and unable to cook. I got chicken franchise with a salad pasta and foccacia bread with a appetizer of mozzarella sticks. All of our plates were empty. It was by far the best italian dinner. I had in a very long time. Delicious sauce. Fresh Parmesan cheese. Probably one if the best dinners I’ve ate in a long time. I order from Mulberry, or a couple other places and it’s a hot or miss. They forget the dressing for your salad. The bread is burnt. Francescos is spot on. There deep dish chicken parm pizza is outrageous as well. I ordered from here tonight as well. Def a must try:) the bread is homemade, the dressing is homemade, and mozzarella sticks are homemade as well. I’ve been so dissapointed with the quality of food. I will def try there homemade sauces.

I was in Babylon while visiting in-laws over the holidays. A native of New England, living in California, I am always hyper critical of Italian food. I grew up blocks away from some of the county’s best! We decided to hit up Francesco’s based on the mother in law’s recommendation before heading out to the village for some drinks. We split the tuna avocado pizzette as an appetizer and I had the Pork Braciole as an entrée. Both were excellent; however, the pork was really exceptional. I have had this dish in the past where chefs think that drowning it in sauce will make up for their leathery over-cooked pork. The pork was moist and flavorful — none of the flavors were overpowering. The saltiness of the prosciutto perfectly complimented the sauce. Nice job, I will certainly return when we next visit the family!

Best Italian food on LI. Hands down. Impeccable service, great atmosphere, and solid presentation. I’ve been eating at Francesco’s since I was 10, and will continue eating there for minimally the next 10. Love it!

Very disappointed about service and quality of food. I feel sorry for the people that think their food is amazing. They probably do not cook and know nothing about the art of cooking. I was insulted to say the least. The server tried to get over on me, I ordered an appetizer and was charged for a dinner plate. It was brought to her attention, she was sorry she misunderstood. Let’s move on to the doubled espresso, also disappointing. The best was the dessert berries & cream, NOT — the cream was very dense cream cheese, very difficult to spoon out of the martini glass. They topped it with granola, some berries and whipped cream. Awful, def not going back their again. They need a restaurant makeover! This place was THE place a longgggg time ago.

Love Francesco’s! I’ve used them for all my catering for years as well as sitting in the restaurant for a good meal. It small, quaint and the service is great. And let’s not forget delivery. I recently had surgery and could depend on Francesco’s for getting food to me that tastes like home cooking.

Ok so they probably should have tagged ANDRESTAURANT on the end of their name b/c I drove by for many years and missed out on some amazing food. I’d like to start by saying don’t go in there too hungry because the food is made to order(so fresh!), it can take a while to come to the table and you can easily fill up on the delicious breads they serve. That being said, the portion sizes are tremendous and they have a $ 10 pasta deal on Tuesday night that can’t be beat. The décor isn’t great, a little dated but not at all dirty; and we’ve always received great service and the food makes up for whatever is lost on the style of the place. They have many daily specials that you might not expect in an Italian restaurant and it’s my understanding that the kitchen will even prepare a fish if you catch it and bring it in. Make sure to check out Francesco’s, it’s a true original!

I’ve been here many times, but I will NEVER go back. I ordered a dish that had risotto in the description. Needless to say I was very displeased when my plate arrived, with white rice on it. When I asked the very old waiter about the change, his reply was that«risotto is rice». Umm, there is a very big difference between the two. I should’ve spoken to management, but I was with family, and just left well enough alone.

Great restaurant, but the owners wife contacted me on Facebook asking that I remove a photo check in there. I find that very insulting and unprofessional. I’ve been going there for over 10 years whenever I’m in town, but never again.

Note: I am only reviewing the pizza, I’ve never eaten in the restaurant proper. That being said, this place boasts the most bitching Sicilian pie this side of the Atlantic, and very reasonably priced as well. For the last year or so, my girlfriend and I would get a pie once a week, and the overwhelming majority of the time it was for a sicilian. The molten mozzarella on top of the pie can stretch for feet on end when removing a slice– just writing about it is making me hungry. And the sauce base is stupendous. Hands-down the best pizza in Babylon(and perhaps Long Island).

We went this past Saturday. I haven’t been in a while, but my parents go there on a regular basis. Once we sat down, I remembered why. It’s a small, intimate place with good food. The bread was amazing as always. We then ordered the hot antipasto for two. It was delicious. The eggplant was great! I don’t know how they make their stuffing, but it’s like they use real bread and oil to get the crunch! My bf ordered the gnocchi bolognese. It was so good! I kept it simple with penne, garlic, oil, and broccoli. I loved it. For dessert, we shared a chocolate cake with coffee. He also had a glass of wine. Overall, a solid meal and not expensive at all for what we had!

Judging the pizza — not the restaurant. I think the big problem is the crust… I find it to taste like cardboard at best. Plus, it’s too thick and greasy for some of the specialty slices, and way too thin and limp for regular slices. In fact, I often feel like the slices are undercooked at times, as the bottoms are the furthest possible thing from«crispy.» There are many pizza places in Babylon that are way better. Go to Ginos — better selection, more turnaround, and you actually have a decent place to sit(as in, not facing a wall).

Very underrated location. Always make a good dish since Ive been going. Used to have consistency issues with pies. some great some bad but have been on a roll lately. Babylon in general has best pizza locations on the south shore.
