Mountain Mikes Pizza

Our pizza taste like it had chemicals in it. Disgusting, it also smelled like windex. I told the manager and she said «I’ll make another pizza «. What? This is a joke. I’m not trying anymore of this pizza.

Worst place I have ever seen. Waited 20 minutes while 2 cashiers took phone orders, then when the first cashier was done she walked away and got on her cell phone. Last two orders they took ended with «an hour and forty five – yes thats what I said». Disgustingly filthy counter tops, dirty grocery bags stuffed in the ice cream freezer where kids get ice cream, half empty canned drink display, the salad bar — omg the salad bar — more like a «this is what we have leftover from yesterday». The floor was filthy, the bathrooms were even worse. You can’t wipe bleach over cracked, broken, outdated crap – its still crap.

Again, as on Alamo (I think it’s the same owners still) restaurant is dirty, smelly, unkempt. Toppings are scarce & pizza here is just not your typical mountain mikes pizza! More like garbage

Ordered for takeout and it was a very good pizza. Would come back again. Pizza had a very good taste..

One cook, server and cashier, holy under staffed (feel sorry for the poor guy, he was very nice).Ice machine not working, sodas were hot and it’s definitely in need of some serious cleaning.
The owner came in later, offered us some ice (it was in their ice cream freezer and it smelled bad, I declined and asked for a can soda).
Been to 3 different Mountain Mikes, this is by far the worst (the others were nice).

Cheap ingredients and the restaurant is in dire need of a thorough cleaning. The one employee took our without exception, but then proceeded to talk extremely loud on speaker phone (personal call) for the duration of our meal. We won’t be going back.

Unilocal! don’t lie; two stars for this place for a reason. We’ve ordered from this location dozens of times and 99% of the time we’ve had the same problems– literally, no exaggeration. This location has a few issues, one of which is that it’s difficult to get them to honor coupons. Specials and coupons specifically for their store might I add! It’s also common for them to bait and switch with coupons, advertising one price, then marking up the price at the time of order stating that the coupon price is wrong. This hasn’t happened once or twice, or even thrice, but several times. Unfortunately, they lack the integrity to honor a special that they advertise. Secondly, there used to be a lady that answered the phone and always seemed to be short and rude, no matter when we called or how nice we were. Now, she’s been replaced by a young man that isn’t quite as rude, but unhelpful and rude on his own right… and equally non-​accommodating with the specials that they advertise. I’ve dealt with him back-​to-​back weeks and voila! Still no help. Why do I continue to give this place my business you ask? Well, my family still loves the pizza. The sole saving grace, and reason for two-​stars instead of one, is their delivery driver George. He has regularly delivered pizzas for me and my family over the last few years and has been delivering for this location for ten years, and has consistently been a pleasure to conduct business with. He’s always pleasant and seems to have integrity, unlike his counterparts. If this location had people more like George running it, it would be a resounding success for Vacaville. If he were to leave, there would be little to no reason to be bothered with this place (or the location on Alamo which are the same owners/​proprietors), good pizza or not. I may permanently be taking my business elsewhere. Sorry George…

Horrible service ordered pizza today from this POS location paid. 14.40 the smallest gluten free pizza. Not only did the size piss me off the majority of my pizza was burnt. I called the location to complain and it was amazing to hear that the manager was not available and to come in tomorrow. Worst customer service and worst food ever ! Boycotting this place and spreading to the word to friends don’t ever go to this location.

Sad. I was really excited about having Mt. mike’s after living somewhere there wasn’t one for a year.
This place is definitely not up to the standard I was expecting. The Chico Mt Mikes I grew up with was always clean and the service was always good. Here… not so much. Lady working couldn’t be bothered to get off the phone to help us and her accent was so thick I couldn’t understand anything she said.
The pizza on the buffet is burnt and the salad bar is crappy.
Won’t be coming back.

I’m certainly no snob, I have spent many years sleeping in the dirt eating from MREs and field mess tents so understand that I found this place so repulsive that I needed to post a public warning.
I’m in complete disbelief that this establishment could ever pass a health inspection or would have a single return customer. Dirt and filth everywhere! The kitchen area can be seen behind the register but if you intend to eat the food prepared in this place you probably should avoid looking at the prep area. You won’t have to look too far to get a look at the ingredients though, as there were bags of uncooked chicken, sausage and chopped ham in the ice cream freezer IN THE DINING ROOM. As a previous commenter mentioned there are no shakers of cheese and peppers on the tables, only a few on the front counter and all of them were full of mold. I’m afraid you might think that I am exaggerating the amount of mold in said shakers but picture green clumps roughly the size of marbles.
I couldn’t help but notice that my family was completely alone… in the dining room… on a Saturday, at 6pm. Somehow the female working the register on what was blatantly a very loud personal call couldn’t be bothered to acknowledge us for 10 minutes and even then only to call the young man from the back to take our order.
This was my first experience with this chain and I can say without a doubt that I am soured by the impression left. This restaurant was so bad that I will never again set foot in any mountain mikes if this is how they allow their franchises to operate.

Been here before a few times only because it has a cheap lunch deal. But the bad part is this place has got flies and little black roach or beetle things everywhere. Plus the family that runs it lives on the same block as me and the cops have been to their house twice for the husband beating the wife. They are from a country where that is legal so they deny it every time the cops come even though the multiple neighbors witness it. Please don’t support a man who does this to his wife.

I came in to order an extra large pizza and they told me they were out. They gave me two large pizzas instead. Come to find out, they were premade pizzas that had been sitting in the freezer all day (maybe multiple days). Of course the dough in the middle was not cooked and then the owner blamed us for not ordering it «well done.»
Another time my friend found a long black hair in his pizza. When he called in, the owner told him that it was not theirs and they «dont have hair here» haha.
The guy that works there is always nice and considerate and seems like he’s doing more to clean up the owners mess than the owner. I am surprised this place hasnt been shut down by the health department.
Avoid At All Costs!!!

Pizza «Ahhh So, So» is my quote for this place. Came in with my brother and little girl to take advantage of the buffet but unfortunately you’d have to wait about 15 minutes in between before they make the one’s you want. If you’ve had round table pizza with domino’s pizza sauce that’s how these pizzas at this establishment taste. The salad buffet eehhhh…

So after my previous incident, the owner (who also owns the Mountain Mikes on Alamo and Peabody) offered me a free pizza for my troubles, and even apologized. I thought this was nice of him, until I went in a few weeks ago to cash it in.
I went into the one on Alamo on Peabody so I can avoid the rude manager lady from the previous time, and she was actually there! Turns out she’s his wife, which I had already figured, but at least I didn’t have to deal with her this time. I figured everything would be smooth sailing – yeah, no.
He decided to pick a fight with me and go on and on defending her actions the day that I went there previously. I was floored. Really? Didn’t we already discuss what happened? He went on to defend his wife, which I understand that, but it doesn’t mean he was right. I told him as much, but that she was rude, and had no reason to scream at me. He said she never yelled at me. I told him that not only was he not there, but that she did yell at me and I had witnesses to back my story up if he didn’t believe me.
He kept saying it didn’t matter because he was trying to fix the situation, but then would throw in a snide comment under his breath like I wouldn’t hear him. Essentially, he was still putting the blame on me, and kept going back to the fact that my parents are regular customers and that our new order caught them off guard and that we never said no bell peppers. None of that is true, and I don’t appreciate him attacking me after his peace offering. He’s a dick, his wife is a dick, and I will never eat there again. Their pizza is overrated anyway.
Oh, and FYI, he brought us our pizza, and about 10 minutes later, came over with another pizza. We were confused, until he realized the first pizza wasn’t our pizza, it was someone else’s. We were still eating our salads, so none of us had touched the pizza, so he took it back AND SERVED IT TO ANOTHER CUSTOMER. Um… gross? I mean, I know we didn’t touch it, but HE doesn’t…

I used to work here in 2004! The pizza always tasted awesome! Especially the chicken pizzas with ranch! I haven’t found anyone since that will have a pizza the size of their Mountain! The prices were higher than everyone else but well worth it! People used come here to watch football on the big screen and drink beer that I served them! It was a great environment! The restaurant itself though is old and needs a lot of updates. Was always dark inside. It had a salad bar too which people rarely touched. Didn’t see one of these restaurants in Oregon or Idaho until I moved to Medford and there’s one! I will have to check it out one day to be funny! ;P

Not worth going… Out of napkins. No salt/​pepper/​Parmesan/​peppers at the table. Woman’s bathroom light needs a new light bulb, there was a soda cup next to the toilet… I don’t want to know why. But literally there was no light in the bathroom. There was questionable hair on the sink… Otherwise the pizza was alright. I would hope that a chain as big as this would be a little more cleaner and update on the upkeep?

Nice spacious dining area and comfortable setting. The food is consistent with the high quality of this chain. Salad bar is fair. Restrooms are similar to that of a McDonalds and not as nice as that of Target.

Worst restaurant experience ever. Bad service, unhealthy (owner went from cash register to making pizza without washing hands), only 3 employees, took forever. Do NOT go.

I started this review 5 months ago… was so grossed out by the experience, I tabled it and only now have come back to post.
This place was pretty good on timing. We’d have been very happy with the pizza IF we didn’t go inside to pay for it. Sadly the 8 – 10 flies sittingon the register were not the only stomach turning things in the store. The floor was littered, literally, with debris from who knows how long. Oddly, as I was unable to turn away from the trainwreck, I noticed that most of the fleet of flies hovered around the register as opposed to the food. Had my eyes failed me?
I mentioned the flies to the owner and he simply acknowledged them and continued w what he was doing.
Needless to say we won’t be back.
