I honestly don’t know why I enjoy you so much… Could it be that your fries are thick? Could it be that your burger looks like as its pictured? Could it be that your bun and veggies look so fresh? Could it be your strawberry limeade? I really just don’t know but thank you

Second time and it’s amazing! Not an onion person had to try after reading others reviews. So worth it! Staff is very friendly and well trained. It’s a great experience each visit. Mr. Pibb as a beverage selection OMG!

So, I’m definitely not a fan and won’t be returning. Perhaps they just don’t know how to create vegetarian burgers, the animal meat might be good, but if you’re looking for a good veggie burger… Stay away from here. And the onion rings others have raved about? Not so tasty either.

The Habit is always good, good burgers & shakes(of course). But I’m writing today because I forgot my purse, and one of the employees, Ethan saw and ran out to my car to make sure I had it! Totally saved the day, thanks buddy! Good looking out! It would’ve been massive bummer otherwise.

OK, burgers are OK size they taste good not greasy or your typical fast food burger taste. Onion ring a crispy and good fires are eh over all the food is OK can’t complain. OK the restaurant it’s small so keep it minimum to a couple only or I suggest take out. Their is plenty of of parking so that’s cool. Overall 4 stars bigger space will be better. Will be coming here when I see the no line outside

I can’t decide which one I like better HABITBURGER or IN N OUTBURGER They both are up their on my list! They have a variety of choices unlike in n out. I think I come here more for their SALADS and fish sandwiches than the burgers… But they are all exceptionally delicious! My favorites — Santa Barbara burger (double cheese burger with avocado on sourdough bread!) — Santa Barbara Cobb salad*** Chopped lettuce with a scoop of avocado, whole boiled egg crumbles, BLUE cheese crumbles*, bacon pieces… It comes with grilled chicken… But I substitute it with TUNA! — French Fries — Onion Rings Sign up for their habit burger club! With signing up you will receive a free burger and on your birthday receiver. Free habit soft serve! Why wouldn’t you sign up?!

The Habit offers the attention to detail that you’d expect from fancier burger pubs — home-made lemonade at the drink bar, condiment bar(sauces, pepperoncinis, chili and jalapeño peppers), friendly staff who come around and clear your table for you — but their burgers are fast food priced, with their cheeseburger still under $ 4. Their charburger is solid, but what I really appreciate is that they recognize that the sides should be varied and cheap: their fries, onion rings, and tempura-fried green beans are all under $ 3 for a reasonable size. The inside of this burger shop is strangely arranged and it can get crowded near the entryway and drinks area.

My favorites: 1. Charburger w/Swiss cheese: most likely they won’t ask you what cheese you want so if you don’t specify the cheese they’ll give you American. Ask for Swiss! 2. Santa Barbara Cobb Salad: crisp shredded iceberg and romaine, diced tomatoes, chunky avocados, blue cheese crumbles, crisp bacon, egg, and grilled chicken beast, tossed in red wine vinaigrette dressing 3. French Fries: enjoy with ketchup or ranch! 4. Onion Rings: crunchy-battered, sweet white onions. Make sure to eat it with ranch! **TIP: when it’s just me and one other person, I like to get a salad and one charburger to share. Get the charburger on sourdough! I’ll come out pre-cut in half to share

The double char with cheese. Two burger patties separated by American cheese laying on a swipe of mayo and covered by a blanket of lettuce and caramelized onions served with a side of golden brown French fries with ranch. The perfect meal for lunch or dinner. You can’t go wrong with this place. In my opinion it is one of the most tasty«fast food» burgers around aside from In n Out. The wait can get long but you can order on line to skip the lines. The BBQ chicken salad with ranch is pretty darn good too. Eating that makes me feel a little less guilty.

I love the The Habit. My go to choices are either the ahi tuna sandwich, which is healthy, or the Santa Barbara Style Burger, which is not. I usually get the sweet potato fries but sometimes get a salad. The footprint of the restaurant is actually pretty small so I usually end up eating outside. If you haven’t been you should go.

Solid burgers, but the fries were a little under cooked. I like crispy fries and this place did not deliver on that front. They were well seasoned and cooked all the way through, but I like them crispier. I had an Ahi tuna sandwich as well and was pleasantly surprised. It wasn’t over cooked and they threw on a generous amount of pickles when I asked to change the toppings. Food came out fast and service was friendly. It would be hard to find a seat here at a busy time though, the dining room is quite small.

This is the place I go when I want a tuna steak sandwich. They have a great tuna steak sandwich. It’s always fresh and delicious. You have a choice of different breads but I always get sour dough. They toast with butter to perfection. The sand which comes with Lettie tomatoes tarter sauce and teriyaki sauce. The combination of both sauces is so good. The fries and onions are fabulous. They dry them fresh to order and they are always hot and crisp. Don’t get the side salad it’s almost $ 3 and its so small. Get the garden salad is 3x the size for a $ 1 more. And get the ranch they have the best ranch.

Excellent alternative to In-N-Out, city of Torrance. Quality is comparable to a gourmet burger. Pastrami is top notch, and Char Burger is awesome. I’ve eaten here several times and a must have if you like quality fast food burgers.

Pretty good as far as the many gourmet burgers go these days! Unlike some others, they have a limited menu but do these things really well! I thought the Teriyaki burger was delicious, I may go for a double next time. But what I really loved was the tempura green beans. They are big beans with a super light, but crisp, batter on it. Juicy when you bite them! My daughter didn’t eat and my son just had a plain burger so nothing new or inspiring on their end. But he loved it and it filled him up! We’ll return to get all 3 of our opinions and to try something new!

I haven’t had the habit in a mighty long time. This place is pretty freakin awesome. The food is fresh, good and made to order. I would recommend this restaurant to anybody. I jus wish j had one closer to my house. The only down side to this location is that it is pretty small. and if u get ur food to go you really don’t have anywhere to stand and wait. I did think it was pretty cool that they gave u a pager for when ur food was ready and the staff verified that ur order was correct

Absolutely love The Habit! There’s a reason why they were voted best burger in America in 2014 from Consumer Reports… High quality, great service, friendly people… what more do you possibly want from a burger joint? The burgers at The Habit are simple with clean flavors. They are just delicious solid burgers, along with my personal favorite, The Santa Barbara style double. The Habit is reasonably priced with pretty generous portions. Seating is outdoors, and about as casual as you can get. The fries and onion rings are perfectly greasy and full of flavor. The milkshakes are tasty and plentiful. The Habit is a great stop for a very affordable fast food meal!

Solid 3, maybe even a 3.5 Parking is easy because it’s located in a big shopping center. The line was about 6 deep when I got there. It didn’t take long at all to be up front and ordering my burgers. The staff is very cheery and helpful. You place your order and then the give you a pager when it’s ready, even if you are going to carry it out. Speaking of carrying out, we were going to carry out because there were no seats inside. We went outside to wait and found that the outdoor tables all had heaters above them and the table itself was even warm. We decided to eat outside, plenty of seating out there. It’s a little awkward though because we sat next to the window, and the table inside was right next to us… kinda’ like we sat with them at their table. We got over it though. The burgers came out within ten minutes. I was there to pick up my order within ten seconds after my buzzing and blinking pager went off. There were my two Santa Barbara Style burgers, Ceasar salad, and onion rings. The burgers were good. They are thin, similar in In-N-Out, so I’m glad the burger is served double style. I was disappointed that the meat was warm but closer to lukewarm… like it had been sitting around a bit, but I retrieved it as soon as my order was ready. It was still a good burger, but I wish the meat was warmer. The bread was pretty heavily sloshed with a buttery substance which made it pretty oily. A little less of that yellow stuff would have been preferred. My friend had the Ceasar salad. She said it was really good. I thought it was pretty basic looking. See my pic. The onion rings were the star of the show. They are the best fast-food onion rings I’ve ever had. I’m glad I finally tried The Habit after hearing so much about their original location in Santa Barbara.

A growing burger chain, Habit has risen in the ranks of great burger places like In-N-Out. Although the total cost of your meal is a couple dollars more than In-N-Out, if you’re looking for something new, I’d definitely recommend trying this place out! I’ve tried their original, BBQ bacon, and mushroom charburgers. They’re all very good! The fries are great and doesn’t come salty, but it’s a little too plain for me so I usually end up using ketchup. Tried a friend’s vanilla shake and that was good too! Haven’t had the sandwiches yet, but heard they’re great as well. Will definitely venture to that menu section along with trying out their different shake flavors(chocolate, strawberry, vanilla, coffee, or mocha flavors). It seems like lunch time peak hours are tough to find close parking, but the entire shopping area is pretty big so I’d assume finding parking wouldn’t be an issue. Even if you had to walk far, it would be great exercise before you consume all of the calories!

Haven’t been here for ages. Their char burger is okay with caramelized onions, added bacon and avocado. Got sweet potato fries but the serving is so small. The chocolate shake was good. It was an okay, good meal.
