I love this place! Walking in, it’s like the Garden of Italian Delights! Fresh breads, a wall of wine, refrigerator cases of pre-sized cheese and deli cases of ready-to-cut meats, cheeses and just overall Italian yumminess. This is my favorite lunch spot and I have yet to try a dish there I don’t like. Pizza? Oh yeah! Prosciutto sandwich? You better believe it! Strombolis, pasta and meatballs? Oh my! In case you’re concerned about the service, don’t be. Every single person is friendly, willing to help, and let you sample a taste or two. It’s my new go-to, and where I take all new transplants to Torrance.

Generally I like Giuliano’s. But man, was I disappointed with their sausage/pepper sandwich today. The sausage was very dry, and some pieces were so tough/dry they were just about inedible. And considering the price, feel pretty ripped off. Was so dis-satisfying I had to scrounge up some snacks for lunch. 4 to 4.5 stars in general. 1 star for the sandwich I had today.

We’ve been coming here for many years now. We use to order what we wanted and eat it in the small table area. Now after 4 pm they now have a dining area. So we come here it’s like a small restaurant. Their eggplant parmesan and he gets a spaghetti with garlic butter sauce or the spaghetti and meatballs. It’s pretty good. I like their individual pizzas and also their torpedo sandwiches. Wish they had the different varieties of breads. Would like to be able to buy the french rolls and sourdough bread bowls etc.

Giulianos is great if you are in the mood for a quick sandwich. A big sandwich. I have yet to try their pasta dishes, but I’ve tried their sandwiches and all are very good except for the tuna. As advertised, the original torpedo comes with a lot of meats. And they are delish. I highly recommend the torpedo, giulo, gaetano, etc. Great bread! The torpedo is a popular item and premade. Therefore, there is no dressing or mayo on it. If you want more specialization, I suggest calling in your order instead of using their ordering app Chowhound. Chowhound is limited and you will only be able to add one condiment per sandwich. Onto the food. Torpedo is great. Go for the full 16″ for a little under $ 9. It made a wonderful centerpiece for a few meals. Large Tuna: Not a fan. Very runny. $ 10.25 because I added Swiss cheese, otherwise, I think it’s $ 8.75, which is fine since it’s such a huge sandwich. I threw most of it out. Very watery and messy. Hard to eat. All in all, a great Italian sandwich joint. IMHO stick to the classics; crumbled meatball, torpedo, etc. They have fettuccine and clams on their menu. I must try that and will update my review to include pasta. Happy eating!

It was my first visit here. Didn’t put much time to explore the menu. Based on my preferences, the guy suggested me to go for Veggie Grilled Hot Sandwich. It turned out to be an above average bite. It was served with Potato salad which I liked. Looking to explore more.

I ordered the fresh mozzarella panini and bf ordered the turkey panini. Both were very tasty, and came with a bowl of soup. Bf said the peanut butter cookie was amazing. The waitress was very friendly and parking was easy. I am looking forward to returning.

I’ve been to this place plenty of times. In the past I’ve only had pizza and their sandwiches. Today was a long day and I had my sons Christmas program so I wanted to eat dinner before. This place has full service after 4pm and our server Holly was awesome. She was friendly and very attentive. My son and I shared the ravioli plate and OMG it was so good! Holly informed me that they sell the ravioli so you can make it at home. I just might do that in the future. I will definitely go back and get the full service treatment again. Even if you are getting take out you will not be disappointed the food is so yummy and fresh. Treat yourself today and try this place out you will not be disappointed! Ask if Holly is there she’s awesome!!!

Argh! This place makes me so mad. I don’t know why I keep coming back here. Probably because it’s close to where I live and the fact my picky son would eat their torpedo sandwiches. Their service is subpar. You place your order and they call your name when it’s done if your lucky; sometimes your order would just sit there while workers are standing around chatting. I recently ordered a large torpedo sandwich and only half of it had cheese. How does that happen? Did they get tired of putting cheese on the rest of the sandwich? Of course, my son didn’t eat the half without the cheese. What a waste. Today, I went to pick up a sandwich for my son’s lunch. Since I go there once a week, I know they open at 10:00 a.m. Of course, there’s a sign that the deli is not opening until 11:00 a.m. I need to stop torturing myself, but I will probably go back since it’s close.

Smashed meatball sandwich is unreal! The quality of food is tremendous along with the quantity. The value of the sandwich really allows my family to have a great Italian dinner for a reasonable price. Great job!

Ordered take-out for lunch and it was a disaster. The stromboli and cold sandwiches were the only edible items. Everything else(fish and chips, hot sandwiches, and calamari appetizer) were disgusting. Also, they did not give us what was advertised. According to the menu, the chicken focaccia sandwich is supposed to have«fire roasted sweet red peppers, sliced tomato, extra virgin olive oil, a perfect blend of Italian seasonings, leaf lettuce and provolone cheese». What we got was dry, bland chicken sandwiched between stale focaccia with some onions and cheese. No seasonings, lettuce, tomato, or sweet red peppers. Skip this joint and go elsewhere. Subway is better in my opinion.

Disappointed that they tend to never have regular lettuce for salads. I had placed a phone order for an Antipasto Salad with romaine, arrived to pick it up 15min after placing it, and waited another 20 minutes in the store for them to give me an Antipasto Salad with spring mix saying they had no regular lettuce. Antipasto Salad description from their website: Antipasto Salad Crisp lettuce topped with premium ham, dry salame, & Provolone cheese, marinated mushrooms & artichoke hearts, tomatoes, olives, onions, peperoncini & Italian dressing, and salt & pepper. If the salad descriptions say lettuce, why do they always serve it with spring mix unless requested otherwise?

This is a place I would like to visit more often but the traffic and the parking keeps me away. Early weekday is the best time to come. They sale all kinds of stuff in here from the fresh deli to packaged Italian goods. The guys here are always friendly and service is pretty quick for the most part. The only thing I can speak for here is the sandwiches, that’s all I have been eating here for years, I’m addicted and of course the bread has a lot to do with it I know. My favorites are the American hero, torpedo, and that yum yum turkey Capri must try’s. To save time you can also order online.

I absolutely love this deli. Been coming here since I was about 12 years old for their spinach dip. If there’s one thing I can recommend here it will be their spinach dip. It is always fresh and fairly priced with the best baguettes that they freshly cut on the spot. Not to mention their entrees and hot/cold sandwiches are delicious as well. I keep it simple with pastrami or roast beef but they’re known for their classic torpedo sandwich. Awesome mix of salamis and veggies. For all your deli and Italian needs, stop by this wonderful market and deli

Yum Yum Yum! I have eaten Giuliano’s ever since I was in middle school because our school used to cater this for lunch! However, I didn’t ever actually venture to the actual bakery/deli until a few years ago. I have been to both this location as well as the location in Gardena, CA and both have been a wonderful visit! Pros: — delicious pastries and desserts(macarons, cookies, baklavas, cupcakes, cheese rolls, cannolis, etc.) and all reasonably priced — delicious choices of sandwiches, pastas, etc. I think this place is great to not only grab a quick bite for lunch, but to even stop by and grab a few pastries or desserts! I’ve never been disappointed with any of my purchases.

You know what you’re getting when you come to any Giuliano’s. A great sandwich with great sides. This particular one even has a dining area for you to sit at and order off their private menu. The pizza looked great and the italian fries looked delicious. I ordered the crumbled meatball sandwich which was always never a let down. I love the bread they use, it is like a fresh and soft high quality baguette that you would only find at a deli. I would suggest a torpedo sandwich with a side of potato salad or one of their many antipastas. Or you can always opt for a bag of chips. That is great about this place because it has a mini market located in it. Their cookies look great but i need to cut back on them, doctor’s orders!

Pros: –Nice, modern décor. –Enterior is spotless. –Dining area is spacious. Cons: –Spaghetti with meatballs has no flavor and sauce is scarce. –Service is hit or miss. The young guy working at the deli this morning didn’t seem like he was happy to be there; however, the young guy in the bakery and middle-aged lady at the cashier were very friendly. –Desserts and pasta salads that I purchased in the deli looked better than they tasted. Overall, I don’t recommend dining at this location. Go to the authentic Giuliano’s Deli in Gardena on Gardena Blvd between Normandie and Vermont if you want better tasting food. Note: this location is not affiliated with the one in Gardena.

I have a friend that has been raving about this place. So, i thought maybe we should try it… i was excited since my friends been speaking highly about this place. so we ordered pastrami sandwich, philly cheesesteak and the classic torpedo… as we order, they asked us if we want potato or tomato salad, ofcourse i love tomato. so we picked tomato salad… we waited for about 30 mins for our sandwiches… as we wait we figured might as well look around the store, we ended up getting ½ lb of marinated mushroom… we thought it’ll taste good with the sandwiches… So we got our order, and i was disappointed. The tomato salad was literally a piece of tomato over a leaf of lettuce soaking in oil and vinegar… the sandwiches are bland, its boring i should say. The meat are not fresh and the portion is small. They are skimpy on everything. Its really not worth it. I could get the same sandwich with more meat and bigger bun for the sams price at busybees in San Pedro, Ca. Food — * Price — * Server — *** Place — ** Total ** Goodluck! :)

I have had a few experiences with this deli, and I’ve finally come to the realization that it is just OK… nothing bad, but nothing that truly drives me to go on a regular basis. — There is a decent market in here for deli items, fresh foods, cookies and pastries, and some meal items. — The deli sandwiches are made fresh, but my big issue is the bread is usually way hard, the meats don’t have a great deal of flavor, and the won’t customize sandwiches(for the most part). I have asked to add avocado a couple times, accepted the $ 2 up-charge and received one little slice of avocado… it just isn’t worth trying. — Easy to access in a big shopping area. — Mostly friendly staff, and what I think are good prices(especially for specialty items). Just not overly impressive and frankly there’s better sandwiches elsewhere. ENJOY!

Cute spot. Nice to have an Italian deli among all the big chain food places. Also nice that they open at 10am on Sunday. Service could not have been friendlier, to the point it was downright entertaining. The area around the intersection of Torrance & Hawthorne is a place I avoid on weekdays due to crazy traffic(big hospital right there doesn’t help), but on Sunday morning it was peaceful. The bad news: the bakery. Specifically, the cookies. My eyes told me this stuff would be mediocre but I got some cookies anyway just to give ‘em a chance. Chocolate finger cookies: soft in the center, hard at the edges. And where’s the chocolate in the middle? After sampling one borderline inedible cookie in my car, I headed up to Bristol Farms for cookies… much better, night & day difference. At Giuliano’s, leave the cookies. Take the cannoli.
