Have been here several times in the morning for breakfast ordering an egg bacon cheese bagel, first time I ordered it I thought they just messed up because literally there was a flake of egg on the bagel like they didn’t get it all out of the plastic container after nuking it, 2nd time I watched the woman pour the egg mix into bowl to nuke and again it was a sliver of liquid so I said could u put some more in there which she did but then charged me extra for adding extra egg and it still didn’t even equal one egg! The eggs are also extremely watered down, no flavor, they cut corners wherever they can and the bagels are meh, no mas para me!

This place is incredibly over priced. The bagels aren’t really that good and they put way too much cream cheese on them.

Stepped in for a small Breakfast and got more than I expected. They have a big variety of different Bagels and they put on top of them whatever you want. I had a breakfast Onion Bagel with scrambled eggs and bacon to my berry smoothie and was satisfied. Before I left I ordered a plain one with avocado, cream cheese, tomatoes, onions and bacon for take out. Everyone was nice, the food was good and I would eat here again. Parking on the street in front of the store is also no problem and for San Francisco not expensive.

Been here several times since my last review and they are greatly improved! Clean, comfortable, friendly, fresh! Back to being one of my favorite spots on Castro. #onionbagel w/tomato & cream cheese. So fresh it doesn’t need toasting. #icedcoffee #bagelsandwiches

3.5 stars. The service here is the absolute worst. No one is friendly, and they get straight to business, demanding you to order even if you already have. Do not come here if you are looking for complimentary smiles and warm fuzziness with your morning coffee and bagel. With that said, Posh Bagel serves one of the best lox bagels I’ve ever had. For around $ 7, they pack tons of cream cheese and veggies into the bagel of your choosing. I would totally come back just for that, though sometimes they take awhile. On another positive note, this is a good music-less place if you are looking for somewhere quiet to get some reading done or work done while enjoying some food. And lastly… I really can’t deny that hearing all their yelling in Chinese makes me feel a little at home.

It’s ok. The bagels are actually quite good. Why the meh? They barely toast the bagel, they also have communications issues so you don’t always get what you ask for, and they are pretty slow and disorganized. If you are up for the frustration of ordering in order to get a good if under-cooked bagel then this is the place to go.

I love this place. I’ve been going here on occasion for the past 7 years and although I don’t know anyone by name and I don’t believe that they know mine and that they are in no way uniquely personal to me, I do find them fast, friendly and efficient.

AVOIDLIKETHEPLAGUE! Came here by accident, ordered a wrap, went to the restrooms to wash my hands, WOWWOWWOW! Didn’t feel like eating(neither using the restrooms) after that. It was disgusting, not like something happened more like they’ve NEVER cleaned it. Sadly you can’t use the restrooms if you don’t order something so you’ll have to trust me, DONOTGOTHERE.

Here at The Posh Bagel, you get white glove treatment. No really. Yesterday, the ambivalent cashier girl is sitting there counting my cash change out to me. With her same latex gloves on, goes into the back toaster oven and proceeds to smear the schmear on my bagel, bags it up, and hands it to me. I’m glad to know her hands were protected from germs the whole time. My own stomach lining, not so much. Unsanitary and against health code. And just plain frickin’ gross. I only really realized it had occurred after I got my bag which was a too late to make a scene over. I really hate to say it, but the marinara bagel with chive cream cheese was still awesome with my coffee. I was hungry. :’(

Ordered a Caesar salad wrap. I enjoyed all the flavors of a salad in a wrap. $ 7.50 for two halves. Saved the other half for breakfast – good deal.

Impromptu stop for a bagel. MUSTREAD! I ordered a bagel with cream cheese then paid for it. Afterwards she helped another customer. I, then realize, she DIDN’t change her gloves after handling the cash register. Yuck!!! Food and coffee are ok Note: I just noticed that she’s now handling the cleaning supplies and the attended the customers after without changing her gloves. This will be reported to Health department! Management need to provide training.

Quality is not all there– It is «acceptable», but nothing in there will ever even BEGIN to blow you away. But the worst part: the staff hardly cares about what you’re ordering. They’re going to make what THEY want to make for you, end of story. You can tell them your order in the slowest, clearest manner, even the most simple order of your life, and it will not be correct. Upon correction of your order, they will not even make you a brand new order, but will«wipe-off» whatever it is that you didn’t ask for, and slap on whatever it was you had actually asked for, causing a mixture of flavors and residue of items in your food making it simply NOT what you wanted. Gross!!! Their wide selection of bagels and menu items and bubble tea offerings saves them from a 1-star rating.

I get one thing here but it’s always very good, as they bake their own bread — and have the best dutch crunch in town. I order the turkey and bacon with avocado on dutch crunch with all the veggies including sproats. Mayo, hold the pickles & mustard. Seriously delish sandwich!

The bagel itself was fine, but they have few vegan options. I settled on peanut butter, only to find out that they only put it on one side of the bagel. When I asked for both sides of the bagel I was told pretty rudely that it cost more. So for the price of a bagel with peanut butter you only get half a bagel with peanut butter, and not enough to eat it closed face. Stingy and cheap, definitely not worth the cost. $ 0.50 for about 1 tablespoon of peanut butter even in this city is a little insane.

I can’t add anything other than it’s a bagel shop with a wide variety of bagels and toppings. I’ve had better tasting bagels and spreads but it’ll do in a pinch. I paid $ 2.99 for a toasted sesame seed bagel with lite, veggie cream cheese. The cream cheese wasn’t very flavorful. The few tables in the shop needed cleaning.

How the never mighty have fallen more. I don’t know what it is but the staff just seems so disinterested, and even when it’s not busy being asked my order like five times for clarification always seems sketchy. Bagel sandwiches should NEVER have actual condiment choices you’d have for an actual sandwich unless I suppose it does have deli meats on it. But lox sandwiches with sprouts and other accoutrements? It just breaks cardinal rules of bagel engagement

They are quite good, a bit pricey, haven’t really figured out exactly wot makes them Posh apart from their ‘Specialty’ bagels such as the Tomato Marinara one or the Pesto bagel, which I guess the likes of Noahs don’t have.

Cheap, fresh, tasty bagels. Wide variety of fillings and types of bagels. With a choice of hot and cold drinks and pastries(Danish, croissants etc). Nice service. Toilet had no toilet roll(even after a customer told the server she didn’t replace it). That’s the only bad point — at least it had a toilet though!

Posh is an exaggeration. HUGE exaggeration. This place is a mess. The floors were dirty and sticky and all the tables were gross with crumbs or spills left unattended, various trash strewn all over. I felt like everything here has a film over it – the pastry cases all look hazy and greasy. The last time I was here, the new counter girl was being screamed at by a veteran bagel slicer and she was calling her stupid over and over. I felt really bad for her. Was my bagel good? Yes. It wasn’t anything special, but it was tasty. The service and the atmosphere left much to be desired.
