I’m sure people don’t go to The Burger Bus for a vegetarian meal, but I tried their Falafel Sandwich today and I must say it was the one of the better falafels I’ve had. In fact it may have been the best. Not dry, not bland*. The roll and all the sandwich ingredients were great. The person who took my order made sure to warn me that the onions are grilled on the same surface as the meat, which isn’t a problem for me, but I’m glad they make the effort to warn people who might care. *The biggest problem with this meal was that it was REALLY salty… But I don’t think people go to The Burger Bus to watch their salt intake either.

First impression is a lasting impression and unfortunately it wasn’t a good one. If the tater tots are better than the sliders well Houston we have a problem! If you’re going to be serving food at an event with a high volume of customers then you should be well prepared and most importantly serving up good food so you have us wanting more. What I was served was unacceptable and very disappointing! But I was too hungry to go back and complain and didn’t have the patience to wait. Sliders was the main feature here and I decided on two of each so I could share with my girlfriend. She ordered the Chipotle burger and Falafel to share. Mushroom slider — The bun was cold and hard while the meat was dry and bland. This was a total let down. The garlicky mushroom sauce was more like a cold pasty glue. Pulled Pork slider — This wasn’t too bad but it would of been better served up warm! Flavors were decent but I think after a few drinks anything tastes good. Cold bun, cold meat no Bueno! Chipotle slider — The spicy sauce kind of saved this one but yet again how can you enjoy a cold dry burger. Falafel — Decent but nothing to rave about sorry! Tater Tots– The only thing served warm. Just your average tot but these hit the spot! I’ve been wanting to try the burger bus for awhile now and what I was left with was pure disappointment! I found myself going for the tater tots more than the sliders because they were warm. Maybe they figured it’s a wine event so people wouldn’t notice but it clearly stood out to me.

The Burger Bus is worth the drive to wherever it is parked any particular day. I ordered the hamburger with jelly and it was fantastic. And the pickle chips and onion rings knocked it out of the park. They also will sell you a Dog Patty for $ 2 for your hungry four-legged friend. I wish I had a reason to hire them for a big party.

Great food, good people and fabulous service. The burgers are delicious, top quality! You have to try to yam fries and fried pickles too.

The simply got the cheeseburger, no pickles. The patties and ingredients were tasty and fresh, but I’m not a big fan of the bread/buns that they put it in, and it was very pricy for $ 9. It’s a little tough to eat since it is such a huge burger. I’d prefer a softer bun. The sweet potatoes fries were good though. Maybe I’ll try something else another time that’ll possibly change my review.

Got off the train and headed to the Funk Zone. The day was cloudy, gray and wet but that wasn’t stopping locals and visitors from enjoying the Burger Bus in the Funk Zone. This was my first food truck purchase and I was excited to give it a try. I ordered the Grilled Cheese Sandwich and it was very good. Not your typical grill cheese sandwich. This one had three different cheeses, tomatoes, pickles, cucumbers and grilled onions on Ciabatta bread. Great grill cheese sandwich with yummy flavor combinations. I cannot wait to try some of the other foods.

It’s 5pm and the Burger bus wouldn’t serve me. Wtf it’s dinner time? Sad excuse for a wannabe Sb business

They served at a wedding I went to. The food was great, the portions were huge, and the service was top notch.

Hands down, the best burgers in Santa Barbara. Ok, full disclosure, I’ve been a vegetarian for 20 years, so I always get the falafel sandwich, which is otherworldly and quite possibly my favorite sandwich/burger of all time. And the onion pedals are the world’s best side to boot. But as I watch my meat-eater friends partake of bizarre concoctions of meat, cheese and jellies, I am ever so slightly tempted to fall off the wagon… or the BUS… and give them a shot… so far, I’ve resisted, but they don’t make it easy, and that’s sayin’ something!

I don’t know what everyone is talking about. This place(er, bus) is at the bottom of my list as far as «good places to get a burger in SB» We spent time hunting down this bus one day in hopes of tasting the most delicious talked about burgers in SB. We were sorely disappointed. The burgers were mediocre and for my boyfriend and I to eat we spent $ 30 on 2 burgers and 2−12oz. sodas. It’s not anything to rave about… At all. I’ll never take the time to go here again. Want a good burger? Go to Chubbies. Delicious and inexpensive. Edit: after receiving a message from someone regarding this review, I will note we spent $ 25. Sorry for rounding up. Regardless, we’ll never go again.

Owner/operator and her staff and not very pleasant. After forgetting my order, I reminded them that I still had not been served. Promised it would be a few minutes and 10 minutes later still didn’t get served. After it finally came no apology or smile. And the burger wasn’t worth the wait. Try smiling and apologizing folks!

Definitely the best burger I have eaten in Santa Barbara ! It’s taste amazing, prices are correct and fries are perfect. Unfortunately they have only sweet potatoes fries and do not regular fries You have to wait a few minutes but it’s never a problem when a burger taste like this !

We had The Burger Bus cater my husband’s 50th birthday for 130 guests. They MADE the party!!! Not only was the food amazing, but the ambience of the bus was the novelty at the party! The guests LOVEDIT. The owners, Cheryl and Michael, were incredibly accommodating from start to finish, and they bent over backwards to make us happy! They also provided delicious cole slaw and mac n cheese, which the guests LOVED. They are VERY reasonably priced, too! I would recommend them to cater a party ANYDAY!!! You will not get a better deal in town! The Bus is like added entertainment at the party… WORTHEVERYPENNY!!! WELOVETHEBURGERBUS!!!

Been eating Burger Bus burgers since 2009 I think… they are good burgers in my humble opinion. I usually get their CB&J, but I also have their grilled cheese with everything on it,(it’s quite unique), and their onion rings, which are delicious. I remember some years ago they were soggy but I think they’ve improved their execution in terms of fried sides like onion rings and fries. I always look forward to getting a burger or grilled cheese at The Burger Bus.

Overrated, it seemed like a good option because of the hype and the jelly but alas it was not. My best friend was right about it! I had the chipotle burger, it had really interesting flavors. I would consider the flavor/heat to be a positive, this is a reason to try the Burger Bus. The meat is nothing to brag about, it’s small and hides inside an overly large bun. That bun doesn’t taste good, it’s hard and dry. Fries were disgusting, the worst I’ve ever had. They are flavorless and dry wedge style.

I hate to be that guy, but I thought the whole point of food trucks was to serve common food at lower prices because of the low overhead. This place is kind of rediculous, 13 $ for a third pound burger and onion rings, no drink. Plus they surcharge if you use a card. The food is okay, definitely doesn’t warrant the price tag. For 13 bucks I can go to a sit down restaurant, get fries and a drink and still have enough left over for a tip and a healthy deposit into my IRA. I know the owner operators are going to be like«but our beef is grass-fed and everything is organic!» — I’d respond that grass fed /organic standards are not what you think they are and if you are being overcharged for your beef, don’t pass that on to us.

I ordered the chipotle burger and a couple sides. The burger to bun(giant ciabatta) ratio is comically off. The cheese that came on the burger wasn’t melted. The burger wasn’t seasoned. The chipotle spread had zero flavor to it– no smoke or heat. The onion rings were just plain awful. The fried pickles were tasteless and gooey. My friends had different burgers and some of them tasted great! One had a double that had some habanero spread that was really good– and their burgers were seasoned! Consistency seems to be a problem.

I have gotten food from the Burger Bus several times and have never once been disappointed. My husband and I recently had the pleasure of having them cater our wedding and they did an absolutely fantastic job. They added little details to make our wedding feel special and the guests loved them. They were easy to contact both before and after the wedding and of course arrived on time and served food according to our guidelines and instructions. The food came out hot and fresh and everyone loved it. I would recommend the Burger Bus both for catering and just to grab a bite around town. Their food is wonderful and I wish them great success.

I wanted to eat at the Burger Bus today. I had $ 8 cash on me, as well as my credit card. I wanted to order the Pesto Burger for $ 8.50, so I decided to use my credit card. This business engages in the unlawful practice(in California, California Civil Code 1748.1) of adding a surcharge for the use of credit card fees. Not only that, the surcharge is enormous for the price of the item(50 cents). So my $ 8.50 Pesto Burger is $ 9.00 if I use a credit card. I wanted to do business with them but I decided to pass. I don’t want to give my money to businesses that break the law at the expense of the consumer.

Holy grease monkey! I thought I’d ordered the cheeseburger and yam fries. Instead, I got grease and more grease. I mean, it was good and all, but dude: the grease. Did I mention the grease?
