Road Dogs

Just had Road Dogs for my first time this week, im hooked! It’s amazing! Surprised to know that they take debit cards which is rare for a food cart. Added them on facebook to see where they will be next.

Road Dogs is a food cart that serves gourmet hot dogs with a variety of toppings:
Classic — mustard, ketchup, relish, onions.
New Yorker –sauerkraut, brown spicy mustard, onions.
Road Dog — chili, cheese, onions.
Sweet Carolina — chili, cole slaw, diced red onions, sweet & spicy mustard.
Picnic Dog — home made potato salad, diced red onions, crumbled BBQ potato chips, deli pickle spear.
Sweet Baby Ray — BBQ sauce, bacon, onion crunch.
And the 4^th of July specials, just for Municipal.
Louisiana Bleu — baby arugula. diced tomatoes, spicy blue cheese crumble sauce.
For special events they will have special menu items, such as the Mac Daddy which is a hot dog with mac n’ cheese.
Instead of a food truck they have a cart with a tent set up which gives them the advantage of being able to set up their cart in locations with size restrictions. They are also available for catering private events as well.
I had the Louisiana Bleu combination which consisted of a Louisiana hot link, baby arugula, diced tomatoes, spicy blue cheese crumble sauce. The Louisiana style hot link is a cajun spiced link that had a noticeable snap to it-​which is the sign of a good hot dog. The bun was firm and did not get soggy at all. The bleu cheese crumble sauce was creamy and spicy. They also offer vegetarian options.
Next time the Road Dog cart is nearby I plan to try them again.
