First timers. After farmers market stop for a beer and happy hour apps. Sweet potato fries with cinnamon and honey. Half price wine to wash it down. We loved it

I went to Eureka for the first time with a rather large group and the service was great! They were friendly and quick. Not only that, but the food was delightful! We greatly enjoyed the Brussel Sprouts and Truffle Fries as starters. We then moved on to the Fig Burger and Mahi Mahi tacos. All of these were great choices leaving me wanting more(although I couldn’t take one more bite). I definitely recommend all of these dishes and the restaurant as a whole. Go early for happy hour.

This was my first time eating at Eureka and I have one close to home but never really had the urge to try it out. I know they are known for their burgers but I HAD to try the Lobster Tacos! They were really tasty! I knew it would be different, but overall I was really satisfied with it. The sauces in the taco were creamy and very authentic to anything I’ve tasted. The BF order a burger and it was full of flavors. He enjoyed it along with the coleslaw that was served with it. Now that I had a chance to experience it, I will check out the one close to me so I can try a burger. Service was good and the food was yummy too!

Last visit here was very disappointing, poor costumer service. I’m usually a regular at this place. I enjoy grabbing some food as well as enjoying a beer too. Every once in a while I attend alone if not with a few friends. We always leave good tip except to the bar tender who does not like to serve me for what ever his personal reason is.

Always a pleasure eating at Eureka. Friendly service until you start eating and need something unfortunately. I think it’s a thing they’re trained for. I almost never get water refills after I take the first few bites. Anyways, I always do the Bruschetta, along with the Fresno Fig Burger AND/OR Bison Burger. Recommended!

Great little trendy lunch spot in Paseo Nuevo. Funny waiter and fun people watching within walking from everything downtown. My chicken sandwich was awesome and the sweet potato fries are amazing!!! Good times.

We came here for the drinks, but man did we make a mistake. Over iced, underpoured drinks are the surefire way to sour a night. Seeing all the people there ordering food, we should’ve saved this place for food and did another place for drinks. maybe next time Eureka!

My last visit here was disappointing. I liked this place– location, food, service. We stopped by over the Memorial Day weekend and everything was changed and not for good. Maybe the regular people weren’t working during that time? Let’s hope that’s the excuse. Food– they changed the recipes for some of my favorite appetizers. I’ll start with the nachos. What happened here? As they say, if it ain’t broken, don’t fix it. The nachos aren’t that good, they don’t use gucacamole anymore, which is a shame, they have some chipotle sauce instead that’s not nearly as good. Fried black beans instead of black beans. It used to be a classy dish, with cool twist, my favorite nachos. They aren’t bad, just average. They didn’t used to be «just your average nachos». Osso Bucco– riblets, one of their staple appetizers the meat isn’t as soft, it doesn’t come out off the bone as it used to and the meat isn’t marinated in the sauce as much, it doesn’t have that bite. Too bad. Havarti fries are decent, we always ask for them to toss it. Service is usually great here, not anymore. We got dirty plates in the beginning. Please, clean your plates! The staff wasn’t as attentive and friendly as usual. They weren’t around to make sure we’re OK, check if we need anything(the place was half empty), but they were quick to grab the dishes and bring the check and rush us out. It’s the first time they made a mistake, we ordered one beer and got two instead. Hope they can turn back time and improve service and the food. Like it used to be.

I always get the bone marrow burger protein style(they give you a bed of arugula) + the Sin Tax Stout. OH! Can’t forget the sweet potatoes fries w/cinnamon + honey Located near lots of shops in DTSB. It’s a dark, loud place w/a decent happy hour menu. Lots of TVs + a full bar. I usually park across the street by the houses. Kinda ‘spensive so I would come here if I’m feeling like a boug-ie burger($ 16)

This review makes me really sad — used to be one of my favorite places but the food quality has tanked within the last 6 months, and it’s seemed to get progressively worse. I would expect a place that prides itself on it’s burgers to have quality buns. They switched Vendors at some point and the new buns are awful, they have no weight and break apart almost instantly, and on one occasion the bun was legitimately stale. Beer selection seems to have been streamlined by vendors and the variety isn’t as great as it once was. Pros: + Service is top notch + Even when it’s busy you are usually seated very quickly + Fun location + Plenty of screens for sports Cons: + Did I mention the food quality has diminished? Significantly. I hope this is seen by management, this used to be my favorite place for lunch and a beer on the weekend but I cannot stomach the food anymore.

So heres the low-down: It was a Monday night and neither of us felt like cooking dinner. We wanted to try a new place we haven’t been before. Eureka! or the place across the street is what the decisions came down too. Burgers + Beer it was so that obviously meant Eureka! was our destination for dinner. We were seated right away at a table that was pretty close to others but our neighbors were pleasant. Our server was quick and came by for a drink order. Water to start followed by some sort of Tangerine beer. The beer was bitter BUT good– I could only drink about ½ since it was a little to hoppy for my liking. Jalapeño Egg Burger… My mouth is watering as I type. This burger is the jam! I opted for onion rings instead of fries and I was very pleased. 3 huge rings(at first I was disappointed since I’m a fatty and really like my onion rings) — these bad boys were filling. Thanks for a great meal, friendly and fast service, good beer and a place to watch the game.

There is a Eureka! in Berkeley but it is definitely not as popular as the Eureka! in SB. Went here on a Friday evening(~6:00PM) and there was a 45 minutes wait. They have fancy computer systems that will text you when a table was ready so that you can go shopping around in the mall while you wait. When a table was ready for us, we were seated promptly and presented with the menu. The wait for the food and service was not long. We started with sweet orange chilli wings and housemade reaper chilli wings. These wings were NOT spicy at all, so if that is what you are looking for, prepare to be disappointed. I am not a huge fan of spicy food, so I was really happy with the wings. I am still thinking about the wings writing this… The burgers are good but nothing too special. I might think that because I usually get the Eurkea burger since I do not care for bone marrow or blue cheese. You can get truffle sauce on the side for your burgers and/or fries. I did not try the truffle fries which a lot of people rave about, so I will definitely be doing that the next time I stop by. My only real complaint is that the tables are relatively close together, which makes it hard to move in and out of your seats. Other than that, I definitely seeing myself coming here quite often to hang out with friends.

Eureka has okay food, nothing too special to call out as a memorable meal, but it will satisfy your hunger. However, they do have a great selection of beers and some tasty cocktails that are more worth your visit. I would suggest checking them out during ‘hoppy hour’ for some discounted drinks and appetizers. The service is what confuses me most about this place. There are always plenty of servers, but it doesn’t seem they are assigned to tables, it is more of a group effort. While I understand the method of having all hands on deck to help out, it makes it difficult to understand who you should try and track down for an order when they are all running around. During my most recent visit I was meeting up with a few friends that were already at a table, so I didn’t expect to get noticed immediately as they were already taken care of, but it took a while to get the attention of a staff member. I personally prefer one server to keep organization. If you are going to stop in, I suggest having a drink and trying to get an outside table to enjoy the beautiful SB weather.

Eureka! It literally means«I found it». The story goes that it was exclaimed by Archimedes when after a laborious effort he discovered how to tell the amount of gold in an alloy. I had been to Eureka many times, ate my share of burgers and appitizers, sucked down countless beers yet never found my «gold». I never had that Eureka moment. At least not until my last visit. It was a lazy afternoon and I was craving some well cooked meat. Normally I would have thought of some different place but a friend told me I should go to Eureka and try the Steak Salad($ 15) I did and it was delicious. It came with the most perfectly cooked portion of strip steak, great greens, blue cheese, grilled onions and delicious dressing. I passed on the crispy onion rings although I wanted them and could see how they would have made it even more delicious. Eureka is a solid spot and while I still have never received exactly what I ordered(do they do that to everyone or is it just me?) The food is very well cooked and the place has a fun vibe to it.

Came here while walking around in downtown Santa Barbara trying to figure out what to eat. Nice little spot, especially on a warm spring day. They have a solid happy hour even during weekends. $ 2 off beers and wines and $ 6 – 8 bucks on many of the appetizers. Off the happy hour menu, ordered mahi mahi tacos(each order comes with 2 tacos and a side of rice pilaf), truffle cheese fries(doesn’t have truffle shavings but like the name there’s truffle in the aoili textured cheese dip), and the bruschetta(unique because it has goat cheese on it which you don’t expect from bruschetta). Weekends they also have Bloody Mary and mimosas for $ 5 bucks. Ordered the mimosa and they bring out a small bottle of champagne so you get quite a lot.

I just had the Veggie Beet Burger for the first time and had to write a review because it is so good! Their house made red beet and kidney bean patty exceeded my expectations and I would definitely recommend it to non-meat eaters looking for a yummy burger. They also have great beer options and a good happy hour. If you’re there on Wednesday you get to keep a pint glass with a logo of their featured brewery! I also like that they have outdoor seating and allow dogs out there. Fun spot overall!

Eureka! was so good, visiting one time during my short stay in Santa Barbara just wasn’t enough. I found that the service was spotty: one day we had great service, and the next day the service was slow at best. However, both times the food was absolutely fantastic! My boyfriend ordered the jalapeño egg burger and I had the tortilla burger. Both burgers were full of flavor, cooked perfectly, and came in reasonable portions. I can honestly say that it was the best burger I have ever eaten. Filling a tortilla with the burger was perfect because it avoided the slippery bun, the excess bread flavor, and the tortilla tamed the spicy flavors of the jalapeños and guacamole really well. In addition to our burgers, we also ordered the truffle fries appetizer. The appetizer was a shareable size and was a great touch to our meals. Many people in the restaurant also enjoyed and said good things about their salads. It seems as though regardless of what you order from Eureka!, it is bound to be pretty delicious.

Now that I am visiting in Santa Barbara I am working on my many bookmarks. «Eureka» was on the list. I had dinner with family their on a Tuesday night and the place was packed. The atmosphere was cheerful and friendly. We were greeted and seated immediately and the entire evening was very pleasant. This restaurant has a full bar and dining area combined there is also outdoor seating and several flat screen TVs. We ordered three appetizers to share: Wings, Ossobuco Riblets and Truffle Fries they were all very tasty. The riblets were so tender the meat fell off the bones. The fries were crunchy and seasoned perfectly. The Wings were juicy and not overly spicy. For the main course I ordered the Fresno Fig Burger: I requested my burger medium well and it was fantastic, juicy with amazing seasonings and flavor. The other meals looked amazing and from the empty plates they must have tasted good as well. Overall the service was great, the food was delicious and the atmosphere was welcoming.

Wouldn’t come here anytime soon I wasn’t that impressed. The chicken nachos were good the chicken chunks were a little big but the sauce, cheese and guacamole made the nachos. The actual restaurant though where we were sitting on the inside next to the bathroom there were so many bugs! There was a stupid fly and a nat flying around our food even after swatting it away several times it wouldn’t go away. This was quite the nuisance for me. Service was good, server was nice and helpful. The food itself was whatever! Ordered the tortilla wrap burger but subbed it with chicken breast due to another servers suggestion. Yeah won’t be getting that ever again, the chicken breast was super dry and had no flavor that was definitely not good at all and wouldn’t order again. The shrimp tacos were okay the sauce was almost identical to the chicken nachos sauce. The Chicken strips were okay on the kids menu, my kid had 1 and I ended up eating the rest. :( I would like to give this place another shot, perhaps Ill try their watermelon kale salad next time. On another note I did like that they gave my son watermelon and avocado as a snack not sure if they do it for all kids but it was a nice touch. I enjoyed eating the watermelon slices very juicy and sweet!

Estuve muy satisfecho con el servicio. El mesero fue muy atento. Pedí los nachos, no eran los mejores pero no tan mal. Me gusta que no cierran tan temprano para cenar. I was very satisfied overall. Service was great! The waiter was very attentive. I ordered nachos, they were not the best I’ve had but not to bad. I’m glad that they do not close for dinner to early. I’m definitely going to be back! :)
