Love this store. My second time at the State Street location and it’s everything I want in a Supercuts: Great hours, great prices, great haircuts, and especially great staff. Elena and Xanthia have awesome do a great work. Made me feel relaxed and gave me just the haircut I wanted. even though I come at 8pm, everyone is still so nice and friendly. That goes a long way with me. I’ll keep coming back. Thank you.

I have never experienced and enjoyed a more heartfelt, local and efficient branch of Supercuts, then its branch on Santa Barbara’s State street. I am a very picky person when it comes to having my hair styled, cut and thinned, so I am picky at choosing a stylist that can adhere to my picky demands. From my first visit to this facility, the stylists at this Supercuts patiently cut my hair to my changing demands. This facility does not only cut hair, they also give their clients a hot towel massage after. I must also recommend the stylist Denise, because she does the best job with blending my frizzy, curly and thick hair to look more natural. Denise is also on top of communicating with her clients, as she allows her clients to call and text her in advance to schedule a hair cutting appointment. This is rare for a chain facility. If you are visiting Santa Barbara, or are locally shopping at Santa Barbara’s state street Paseo Nuevo shopping mall, then stop by the Supercuts branch on State Street.

Slow and very sad service. Worst Supercuts I’ve ever been to. They promised a 20 minute wait but ended up being an hour long wait. The haircut took forever and there were only 2 people working. The ladies working were very rude. If you go to this supercuts, good luck getting good service. We were very disappointed :-(

I wouldn’t recommend getting your hair cut here unless you’re fond of waiting a long time. The haircut turns out fine but the wait is painful, and doubly so because you often look up and only half the staff is actual working while the other half is either missing or talking to each other.

When i came in on Monday there were 2 girls. Really friendly and all. They told me it would be 45 $ to color my hair. Unfortunately i didnt have time, so i for there on tuesday at 9.30 a.m. The hair dresser was in a bad mood. She wasnt friendly or helpful. I was not sure about the color and First she didnt really want to take out her color list. I was that close to leave the shop. But then we Startes to talk. It was really nice to talk to her. I learnd a lot. Was cool. The color and all was awesome Even if i paid 60 $ for the color. But the Salon was ugly. Dirty and broken. Quite disgusting. But it’s okay. I paid 105 $ plus 23 $ tip. (Semi color & Cut & Brush) and the work was done very well, even she needed 3?! Hours.

I tried to get my haircut here about 3 months ago and I ended up walking out. So first I walk in and no one says hello or even notices your there. I stood at the register for about 5 Mins and not a word. So I decided to have a seat and wait. As I was waiting a gentleman with 2 kids comes in and a employee greats him and puts his and his kids name on a list. So I got up from the waiting area and told her I’ve been waiting here for a little bit now and can I get my name on the list, she responded«umm ok»(frizzy hair tattooed girl) and I asked her if I’m going to have to wait behind those people who came in after me and she told me «ummm yea». do you really not have the common sense to realize your service was terrible and I was waiting there for one of you to just say hello? Or a welcome? Or how long your wait i etc. I left immediately and never came back. I’d rather give my roommate 8 shots of whiskey and cut my hair with a pizza cutter than go back to this poor establishment you call a business. Piss Poor service and the manager should be ashamed.

The next time you want to get your haircut here, stop. Enroll in cosmetics school, spend 2.5 years learning the trade and passing exams, get your license, and cut your own hair. This will still take LESSTIME than sitting in the sullen waiting room at Supercuts on State Street. Your 20 minute estimated wait will stretch to an hour(and sometimes over) EVERYSINGLETIME, yet you will watch people walk in off the street and right up to the chairs unannounced. They will be unable to answer any questions you have in a satisfactory manner, especially the question of «How long is the wait?» And the best part is that at any given moment, there are a minimum of TWO stylists, which you definitely saw cutting hair when you walked in, that are now in the back doing nothing while you twiddle your thumbs in the waiting area. This has happened multiple times, and each time I slap myself in the face for expecting anything different. My god, its incomprehensible to me the level of incompetence that permeates our workforce. If you want to do a case study on that subject, go here and hit the jackpot. But if, like me, you just want your hair cut, stay far far away.

Price is good… Didn’t have to wait too long for a drop in(30 mins…) it was clean. Stylist was communicative but she did interrupt my hair cut to go sell something… I thought that was odd

I never write reviews, but this place has really BADCUSTOMERSERVICE!!! I came to Super Cuts for a trim, and since I had never been there, I got asked for my name and phone number. I was then told the wait was 30 minutes for the trim. 40 minutes later, I got up to ask the girl how much longer I had to wait. She told me I wasn’t on the waiting list and that the current waiting time was an hour. She didn’t try to squeeze me in so I was upset and left.

I got my haircut here about 1 ½ months ago by a younger woman, I think her name was Xnthia? She has really cool hair, tattoos and a great attitude. Anyways, best haircut I’ve gotten in Santa Barbara over the 5 years I’ve lived here. First time having my hair cut like most guys, short and kinda fashionable and she was patient in helping me describe and find out what I wanted/what would look good. Will definitely go back.

I had an excellent hairdresser… I believer her name was Judith? She had an excellent repertoire and was very compassionate and kind in regards to my thin hair. She cut quickly, yet efficiently and I’m still reaping the benefits. Thank you! will be back to see you.

In short, the haircut was not bad, but the wait was obnoxiously long. I called in ahead of time, and we still ended up waiting for 30 minutes. The lady at the front desk was pretty rude as well. My hairdresser was very nice, and she took time and care to make sure my cut was what I wanted. Okay if you need a cheap haircut in SB, but I prefer the Paul Mitchell school.

I’m anti-Supercuts and I’m writing a POSITIVE review of this place! We walked in on a Sunday(quite possibly the only salon open on a Sunday in this town) to get trims for my husband and toddler. Leann did both and gave them both a sensible haircut. I was worried they’d look off as if they were headed to war the next day but I the salon snob was impressed! I completely recommend toddlers! Leann was patient and very good! Kids Cuts has too many damn toys. The mom scene there is too much for me. And the women cutting hair always seemed to take forever and a day. This is a couple of bucks cheaper too! I recommend Leann although I saw a couple of other kids there getting their hair trimmed by others and the moms seemed just as content!

WORST hair cut I have ever received. I have had awesome luck with other Supercuts, but this one was terrible. The stylist was rude and they didn’t know what number the clippers were. I went over to Regis Salon to have them fix it. If you really want to go to this Supercuts, I’d suggest to go to Sears instead and rent a lawn mower, and it would probably do a better job.
