Gui Lin Cuisine

Hello my Unilocalies,
I always walk pass this place every time when I walk toward Green Zone. This time I decided to give it a shot. Parking here is very easy, they share with many other stores in the plaza. So definitely don’t need to worry about finding a spot.
This place focus on Rice Noodle, but you don’t have to worry, they also have hotpot and rice. I decided to order the braised pork with rice ($ 10.99) it comes in a stone pot and also comes with 2 sides and a drink. The drink was some kind of tea, I believe it might be chrysanthemum but not too sure, but it was pretty decent since it came with the food can’t complain much. I like how the pork came in a cute little stone pot, it was definitely very well presented. The pork was cooked well, but definitely way too salty. I had one bite and have to drink 2 gulps of water. Everything was just too strong of a taste for me, I do like the texture of the pork and the vegetables as well but because it was too salty and oily it affected the whole dish. (Sad Truth)
My friend ordered the beef and fish balls with rice noodle soup! A8 ($ 7.99) He was very satisfied with the noodle, the beef ball was a little tough to chew but the soup base was very well seasoned. I have to say they do give you a pretty big portion. When we both saw the bowl we were like WHAT??? That is pretty big (that’s what she said lol, I just had to) anyway, he said he will come back again and try a different kind of rice noodle.
This place focus on sour and spicy or Mala spicy, so if you’re not a big fan of that this place is probably not for you. But they do have other choices which are not spicy.
The service was okay, if you don’t know how to speak Mandarin it might be a little difficult because they don’t really speak much English, and they might give you a vibe that they are rude or just don’t care.
Overall, 3 stars for service, 3 stars for food/​drink, 3 stars for environment and decoration and 4 stars for cleanliness. I may come back again, but definitely not soon because of how salty it was for me. But thank you for your service.

0 star very bad service the waitress was so bad can’t even understand what I am ordering and gave me the wrong order that witch I don’t want for 2 of us and very bad attitude and rude as shit very bad experience don’t wanna go again

Very bad experience with this restaurant. I’ve been waiting for a looooooong time to get a seat, and wait for another period of long time to get the waiter’s attention, and make the order… and wait, wait, wait, for our dishes… too much waiting! Don’t come here during dinner time. very low service. but… i have to say, the food is good…

I like GUI Lin sour spicy noodle so much. I came here every time I was near san gabriel area.

This is an authentic Chinese restaurant with great taste of GUI LIN cuisine (especially the rice noodles). However, the waitress has always been very impatient and rude to customers…(feel like we owe her money). The food experience was good. The dining experience was definitely bad.
