The server is ok but the food was terrible! I try same style other restaurants, this one is the worst. I ask for preserved meat, the waitress said they don’t have it but the boss said they do. However they just give my a little bacon charge me for double price. Will never go again.

The service was mediocre and so was the food. I actually lost appetite half way through because the soup tasted funny. Definitely not coming again.

Ordered Guilin rice noodle. I like it. Also ordered Chinese dumpling. I wish it was man-made but it’s machine made. Meat inside the dumpling are fresh. However, the dumpling could taste better if the dumpling was man-made.

Avoid ordering from them! The food is OK but there proportion is getting smaller. The worst part is the service. I know you shouldn’t expect too much in a restaurant like this. I order two noodle soup to go. The lady on the phone confirmed with me that she had place my order. But when I get there 20 minutes later, she didn’t even notify the kitchen to prepare our meal. And she is extremely rude on the phone.

Unilocal Challenge 2016(4⁄100) I don’t know why this place only has 3 stars, but I found this place quite enjoyable! Went here with a few coworkers for her a farewell dinner. There was only one lady serving the entire night. She was very polite and nice. So service was an A+ in my book. As for the food we ordered, we order 6 items, Spicy beef noddle, flavorful. the sichuan numbing spice(?)bias a nice touch. Pig intestine noodle, fried pork chop, cumin chicken and brisket rice was okay. But it’s not something I will order it next time. Last but not least that fried egg pancake thing was the best thing of all. It has crunch factor, a good garlic flavor sauce. The only bad the about it was the portion! BUT that’s because it’s only an appetizer. Haha Definitely coming back with my parents.

I got the extra spicy beef noodle soup and my friend got the ultimate noodle. The noodle soup came out great but not so for my friend the dry noodle were too salty. Get nothing else but the noodle soup don’t bother with other dishes and prepare for really rude service. I had issues with the waitress. She insisted, I need a drink and appetizer and I flatly rejected her offer and she gave me a rolling eyes stare. Seriously, they really need to get better waiters and waitress.

No wonder seldom do they have any customers. The attitude is terrible. I ordered to-go, and it turned out that all I got was the burned beef. Perhaps they know for sure that I would be too hungry to go back and return it. haha. Sorry for my bad temper. But I am a little bit pissed off, indeed.

This place is located on the second floor of Focus Plaza, above Sam Woo. It’s part of a chain of delicious Guilin noodle soup shops spread all over SGV. And for good reason. Everything is fresh and affordable. The noodles are soft with a good bite to them. The soup is well seasoned and you can choose to have it sour and spicy or numbing spicy. The toppings range from fish fillets to beef to innards like pork large intestines. I switch between numbing spicy with fish fillets or pork intestines depending on how unhealthy I want to be that day. It’s perfect on a cold or rainy day. The service is kind of shoddy. The ladies who work here are nice but are pretty unattentive. It’s okay though, I’m here for the food. :)

The rice noodle they usually will serve a kind of special soup in order to make the noodle taste«Guilin» BUT! Last time I was there, the soup just water with chili sauce. Not acceptable.

First off, everything people said about the attitude is true. One if the servers is ruuude. I found her amusing but my girlfriend couldn’t deal with it. There was an argument in Chinese about what I should eat being a westerner and all. At the end I got what she decided and luckily it was good. Rice noodle soup with beef, known veggies, unknown veggies and peanuts. Also had a Lemonade the waitress decided I should drink. I really liked the soup but can’t come back as my girlfriend left zero tip and the waitress gave us the evil eye before we rushed out of the place.

Located upstairs of Focus Plaza. One of the usual places that me and my family tend to go to. They are famous for their sour & spicy rice noodles. Good portion for the price. Very flavorful… I am not that into rice noodle but I wouldn’t mind having some here every now and then. The rice noodle we often order comes with some peanuts, lettuces, minced sour cabbages, and pig intestines. Can either be spicy or non spicy. I always order the non spicy ones and just add in the chili when ever I feel like eating spicy. Besides the noodle, we tend to get the stir fried pig intestines with sour cabbages. One of the best dishes here. Perfectly made. Not too sour and not too salty. The intestines are chewy and not mushy. Their side orders/cold dishes are also very tasty and flavorful. Every dish has a yummy taste of its own. Note… Some can be very spicy and oily. They have different types of teas which are pretty good. We are usual customers so the lady recognize us and offer good services all the times.

One star for the bad service I constantly receive from here. I would give it a Five Star for food if these categories are separated.

This place is okay, but my friend loves it so much we had it for both lunch and dinner on the same day! $ 8 or 9 for a bowl of noodles is kind of pricey(for the same price you can get some decent ramen, you know? Haha) As soon as we sat down server asked if we are ready to order. We didn’t even flip open the menu yet! It was hilarious. Our food came pretty quick, less than five minutes we had everything served. Minimum purchase of $ 20 for credit card, if not cash only! We got so thirty afterwards though, oh man was that a ton of MSG. But I think that’s what makes it so great that we must had it twice in a day.

I love«The Ultimate Noodle» and never order anything else. It’s a perfect combination of flavors, including roasted peanuts. Pair this with a fresh watermelon juice and I’m stuffed. Seating is cozy, and there is a TV showing Asian news, perhaps CCTV. If they delivered, I would order The Ultimate Noodle all the time.

Takeout would probably be 4 – 5 stars. The noodles were delicious, mantou were great, and the apperizers were awesome, but stay away from pretty much anything else. My brother ordered eel fried rice and the eel was cold. It also took a ridiculous amount of time to make. I would expect self service, the service here is pretty slow and it isnt very clean, pretty traditional for a legit chinese place. A waitress spilled soup on the floor cleaning up and didn’t clean it up even half an hour later, and one waitress reached over a table mid-meal to grab chopsticks for another table. To be honest most of the service lag was because they are understaffed and the kitchen is small. Basically, the appetizers and noodles were awesome but the service/cleanliness was crap. Oh, and make sure you check your reciept that you got charged for what you order.

Came here needing a tasty and quick meal and was sorely disappointed. We ordered the ultimate noodle dish and rice with minced beef. For some reason when our food arrived my rice with minced beef became noodles with slices of beef on top… we were in a hurry so I didn’t complain. Both the dishes were incredibly salty to the point where they were almost inedible :(.

Since I started working near this place, my co-workers always raved about how amazing it was and how fast their service was. I decided to give it a try and man was I amazed. I’ve eaten here at least 5 times within the past 6 months. Partially because it’s near my work and also because it’s good. I absolutely love this place and it’s a great spot on a cold day. The venue is fairly small with wooden picnic bench styles. It’s usually never packed so food does come out under 10 minutes. I’ve only ordered the fish with rice noodles here in very spicy. It comes with fish, rice noodles, chili oil/flakes, veggies, and sour/spicy bean chili things. This place is great if you love spicy food. It’s definitely not the sriracha or flaming hot cheetos spicy, but more of the«numbing» spicy where you can’t distinguish whether your tongue hurts from the hot temperature of the soup or the chili within the soup. You have been warned. if you want spicy but not that spicy. do specify to the lady because she will dump a whole lot of chili into your soup and possibly numb off your tongue. Although this place is amazing, I will rate it 4 stars. I should probably give it a 3 for this specific incident that I will mention, but it’s just so good and so convenient. I have found hair in my soup before. like thick black hair(hopefully from the head) but i picked it out and food still tastes the same. Pros: fast service, good spicy noodles, reasonably prices.(under $ 10 for noodles) Cons: Cash only,(credit card has a minimum of…$ 10?), parking here sucks on weekends due to the busy plaza, check your food before you eat it(you might find a surprise)

Dear owners of Dandan’s Guilin Rice Noodle, I’m sorry for not realizing it was cash only last time and not having enough for tip. I’m even more sorry that [for years?] the photo of my receipt and the door has been like the first photo that comes up when you Unilocal this place. I’ve tried to repent by 1) leaving a healthy tip this time and 2) taking a better photo. I got the Guilin hot and sour beef rice noodles(A1 on the menu) and it was pretty good. Sincerely, A repeat customer of Dandan’s Guilin Rice Noodle
