Amazing foods, worst serving. There is over 10 tables waiting for foods but only 2 waitress? If you dont mind about waiting for 15 min for someone to just asks about your orders and waitress will talk to you angry when you ask them about your orders, thats fine. Seriously guys, educate your waitress.

I’ve been coming here for years with my family and the food and service had been pretty consistent. The food is pretty decent and normal priced, like any other Korean restaurant. The service is definitely lacking here though because they only have one to three waiters running around and they’re always in a rush. When you ask for something, it seems like it’s a major inconvenience to them since they’re in such a rush. As I said though, the food is decent, so we come anyways

I’ve been here on several occasions and each time is a different experience. Since this place is so close to work and it is one of the only places that actually accepts credit cards within the plaza, it’s difficult not to come here. What I love about Korean restaurants is that first of all, THEYHAVEUNLIMITEDSIDES! It may not come as a surprise to Korean food regulars, but to those first timers, this is the best thing ever! Food: When it comes to the sides, I love the spicy cucumbers, kimchi, fish cake, and seaweed. The bean sprouts are mediocre but don’t let my biased opinion stop you from devouring EVERYTHING. Don’t be shy, once you run out just ask for more. Duboki(Around $ 8-$ 9): This is a rice cake dish with a little bit of fish cake, some spicy sauce, and a whole lot of cabbage. The flavor was«okay,» but the portion was ridiculously unproportionate. I literally counted only 7 rice cakes within the whole dish and a couple pieces of fish cake. Cabbage definitely ruled this dish. Seafood Tofu Soup($ 9.99): Absolutely delicious! I ordered this in spicy and it was amazing. Just thinking about spicy seafood tofu soup mixed with rice makes my mouth water. Although this may not be the best of the best out there, this dish is still good. I am not too fond of the unproportionate shrimp and clam sizes, but it’s no biggie. Service: We arrived around 12:30pm on a Sunday afternoon and this place was nearly empty, so I expected for the staff to remember our orders. Unfortunately, they didn’t. It wasn’t too big of a deal since after reminded, they brought it out immediately. Venue: Very large restaurant and every time I have passed by, it is never packed. Great for large parties of 6 – 15 or even more. Parking: This plaza is always busy but the best times to come is either on the weekdays or weekends around 10am or after 7pm. Tips: There are lunch specials from Monday– Friday! Not a big deal if you miss it since it’s only $ 1 off of retail.

I went on a Sunday around lunch and it was great. They got us seated immediately and were very efficient in giving us water, tea, and taking our order. The portion sizes are very big, easily enough for two meals. Everything was very good.

My mom and I used to love this place but today they have lost our business. I don’t usually write reviews so you can see how disappointed I am. The food was decent but it’s on the descend from before. Afterwards I have been so thirsty the rest of the day from what must be all the MSG. The service was absolutely terrible! The fun part about being at a Korean restaurant is usually the endless side dishes. We asked for our first refill and the guy basically yelled«This is your last time!» at us. I have never had that happen at a Korean restaurant before. I can understand if you were to politely say I would like to let you know that this is our new policy and we only allow one refill or clearly state that on your menu but to rudely yell it at us is not okay. Mind you, we had 6 people and ordered 9 dishes. They give the same amount of side dishes to 1 person as they do 6. Plus we asked 3 times for a tea refill. Needless to say, we am never coming here again.

I used to like this place but the last two times I have been here, it’s just gotten worse and worse. Most recently I was here at around 3pm on a weekday for their lunch special. They are severely understaffed, with one waitress running between multiple tables that were spread all throughout the restaurant. She seemed flustered and angry, especially when I asked for more fish cake(had to ask a few times cause she kept forgetting). They should consider having an additional waitress. However, there was no wait at the time, so that was nice. Their portions were off, at least in my book. For the amount of meat they give, they give very very little rice. The food was good, nothing special though. I had the spicy chicken with clam(?) soup. Their spiciness level was on point but their soup was whatever. The parking lot is huge, but I had to park kind of far since the plaza is so crowded. If you don’t mind parking far, it’s not difficult to find parking. Not sure if I would come back or not. Maybe under social circumstances but definitely not my first choice.

Craving tofu soup on a chilly night? Don’t wana wait an hour at the tofu house across the street? Want bigger portions of meat? Come here! It’s also a dollar or so cheaper for combos! I always get the spicy pork combo with seafood tofu soup in spicy. And if I’m feeling like I needa calm down a bit, I get the grilled chicken combo. Meat portions are always big here and it’s nice to know that I’m getting my money’s worth. Typical Korean banchan along with one you don’t see often: pancake. Limit one per table. Love the fish cake, Kim chi, and mashed potatoes. Boyfriend is in love with their bean sprouts. Their rice could be a little crispier on the side. But that could be a plus for some people because it doesn’t stick to the hot stone bowl. Parking can be a bit tricky depending on the day and time. Overall, one of the best tofu houses.

Merry Xmas and Happy New Year! Ask any of your Jewish friends what they typically eat for dinner on Christmas and the majority will say«Chinese food». I’d like to suggest an alternative. Try Korean food instead. We went to Ko Hyang TOFUHOUSE and had a satisfying and enjoyable meal. The restaurant is rated«A» by the L.A. County Health Dept. It is decorated nicely, clean, and reasonably priced. The place was still crowded at 8:30 pm on this Xmas night, nevertheless, we were seated promptly. There are many other items to choose from besides tofu, like Korean BBQ short ribs, marinated beef, and spicy chicken. These latter items come with a variety of side-dishes that will satisfy your taste buds for something different [and refills or 2nds are given — free, if you simply ask nicely]. The BBQ dishes are cooked in the kitchen for you, instead of by yourself via a built-in gas grill at your own table, like at some other Korean restaurants. [The nice advantage is you don’t have to do the work and when you leave, your clothes doesn’t smell of BBQ.] On this occasion, the kitchen may have been short-staffed, so the food took a while to arrive at our table. And, since they were closing soon after our main entrees arrived, the waiters kept telling us that they had run out of the side dishes that we desired more of. [I think the kitchen was putting food away too early and prepping to close.] We found their answers upsetting and thought it was too coincidental; so we asked another waiter [Jake, the guy with a friendly face and wears eye glasses.] that spoke more English than the others and our persistence was pleasantly rewarded. Jake did not disappoint us. He got what we had previously requested and provided excellent service with a smile. [Because of him, this restaurant is getting a higher score than it would have tonight. Had Jake been our server from the beginning, Ko Hyang would’ve received 5 stars.] Would I go here again? Yes, without hesitation. ‘Tis the season to be jolly and forgive. I’ll update this review after our next visit.

I’m writing this review while waiting for our dishes. With the trash cart right beside our table yet no one is cleaning the other table. It’s been half an hour. Plus another 15 min waiting for the waiter. No, no one is busy the whole place is pretty empty. I’m not happy. Not happy me give bad review.

Ok. Just to be clear. This place is located in a Chinese plaza… Full of Chinese people… So how Korean can this place be? Lol Service was actually really good. They speak Korean, Mandarin, and English! The lady and the guy was attentive and fast! Wednesday night it was pretty empty. The side dishes are amazing and they are not stingy about it. Portion size was good. Bibimbap– yum! You can’t go wrong with this. I wish there was more meat, but the flavor is good. I love crispy rice. Seafood pancake– YUMYUMYUMYUM. The sauce they give you is amazing. There can be more seafood and thinner but this is good. Rice Cake and ramen– spicy. Hot. Chewy. Delicious. This thing was soooo good. Overall good place to eat. Prices are good. Is it the same as something in KTown? No. But is it good? Yes

Craving for tofu spicy soup today and we were at their direct competitor’s which has an hour waitlist, so we Unilocaled and it lead us to way to the closest tofu store nearby so here we are. And surprisingly there’s no queue on a Saturday evening. Came with low expectation but food was served to us pretty fast and as we started eating, the number of stars kept increasing. From 2 stars impression to start with, to 3-stars when my Clams Tofu Soup($ 9.99) arrived, with lots of clams, to 4-stars when the Bulgogi Beef($ 15.99) is is served. Very tasty and well-cooked. Service is good, with staff constantly refilling our tea.

I usually come here for their cold noodles(Naengmyeon). Recently tried their Jaengban Guksu(cold noodles but without soup, they have a picture of it on their wall). It was very citrus-y and flavorful and the huge portion filled 3 of us. It was great until I got food poisoning from it. Giving this place 3 stars still because I’ve been coming here for so many years. They have the classic tofu house menu. Their side dishes are delicious. But their service is pretty bad 2⁄5. They take forever getting your refills(on drinks and side dishes). Their seafood pancake is pretty good, though I personally feel that the ingredients are lacking in quality. The place is not the cleanest — typical Asian restaurant. Noise level standard and the restrooms are tolerable.

Food was fine and all but the service was pretty bad especially considering there where 4 other tables in use that were already served and eating. Came with a large party the gave us a pitcher of hot and cold tea so they didn’t need to refill often, but we finished those so fast took them forever to refill also asked for ice water and didn’t receive ice water. When leaving there was only 1 worker tending to customers and took forever and a day just to pay and leave.

Honestly, this place is great but the service is really random. Some days you’ll have decent service and other days you can get the crappiest service. They have the best sides so that’s probably why I still come here! Other than that, their tofu soup and other entrees are really good!

The side dishes here are great, you won’t get a banchan selection like these in ktown. The pancake and the fish cake are the best ones for me. Food is decent. The only complaint I would have about the food is that after the tofu soup is done sizzling it’s only about half full. But other than that, everything else is fine. The grilled yellow croaker is pretty good here considering I don’t really like fish. Service here is alright, except this one woman working here who is amazing. The rest of them don’t really check up on you unless you call them, but this woman constantly asks you if you need anything else. There’s usually no wait so yay for that, and everything is decently priced. I’ve never have a problem with the sanitation of the restaurant either and I’m pretty picky about that. Parking can be annoying in this giant plaza with a bunch of Asians. But at least it’s free and you don’t have to pay like in LA. Come here to eat if you’re starving because you’ll be served with side dishes and salad immediately!

I used to like coming here, but after the way that the waiter sneered at the tip and made a face about, well then, f888k youz! A tip is based on gratitude not a mandatory requirement. If your service wasn’t that crappy with attitude, I would have given you a better tip, but if you’re gonna be a lil beeyotch(the male waiter, the female waitresses are nicer), then that’s what I’m gonna tip. Never coming back to this place ever again.

Decent tofu house in the focus plaza. Food was great and portions are nice. But they lose 2 stars because the customer service skills needs to be improved in my opinion and I had hair in my appetizer which felt Alittle unsanitary, it was also a little difficult to find parking in the plaza. Overall the food was great and I do recommend for first timers!

Located in Focus plaza. Not necessarily the best place to go to for Korean food. Their service is pretty bad. They assume that if you’re not Korean, you don’t know much about how authentic Korean places operate, so they will try to be cheap. For example, they wanted to charge extra on sides if we requested it, but we complained and then they brought out extra free of charge. My coworker called the waiter over by speaking Korean, and they instantly changed their attitude. SMH. We went around 1PM, and it wasn’t that busy. But their service was still super slow. Not a good way to do business.

Whoa 3 stars average. thought it’d be higher lol. 4 stars from me. It’s definitely true that this is not the best Korean tofu place ever, but on the satisfaction level… rated pretty high on my scale. My bf brought me here for dinner, and I was hungry and excited to eat lol. Service was ok. It was very Asian… you know? Quick and efficient but not the friendliest. Me? I don’t care. Just here for some foods. Between the 2 of us, we shared the combo(galbi + dumpling tofu soup) and a rappoki… which they got wrong and gave us the ddukbokki instead… sigh. Just as well. Minus the carbs and plus the cabbage… sigh. I thought everything was pretty tasty. Banchan was pretty good. The pancake could be a little more crisp, but not bad. The tofu soup we got extra spicy(or w/e the spiciest option is) and it was not that spicy. It had good flavor though, although compared to other Korean tofu places, the soup seems to be a little more… watered down. Or not as thick? Still pretty good to me. Galbi was goooood, tender and flavorful. The ddukbokki was also pretty good. It was spicier than the tofu soup. The rice cakes were perfectly soft and chewy. Wish I had some ramen in there… but o well… :’( This is a little bit out of the way for me, since there’s a place in Arcadia I go to for Korean tofu soup. But it was a nice experience. Had a good meal and I only forked over 30 bux for a dinner for 2. Not bad.
