Taco Cabana

Every single time we come here… they’re always «out of quesadillas». Either you’re fuckin lazy or just dumb. You’re a Mexican restaurant. It’s ridiculous that every time I come here, y’all don’t have quesadillas when in reality you’re too fuckinf lazy to make them. Start making them or people will be takin your job soon.

Ok so we went back bc we took up the manager Mr Max on his offer. spurs game was on there were some of the same employees that were there the last time we went. And everyone was professional and very customer service aware. The shift manager handled herself and her
Employees very well. She had very awesome leadership skills. It was a very good evening. We will return again as long as the other shift manager is not working. Good job guys! Keep up the good work !

Too bad they do not have — stars. This place is a dump. The service is terrible. There was only three cars in the parking lot. You have to wait 15 minutes at the drive thru speaker just to order your food. I went inside and got greeted with roaches crawling on my legs!!! Would not recommend this place to my worst enemy.

Stay away from this location! I grew up eating taco cabana and still eat it more then I probably should. The food at this location is not what you would expect from a taco cabana. I’m not sure what’s going on there but you have been warned.

This is by far the worst taco cabana I’ve ever been to. The food is horrible. I got the street taco plate. Asked for black beans and got barracho beans. So I told the waitress and she actually argued with me that it wasn’t what I ordered. One of the staff gave me black beans. They tastes like they were only boiled in water that’s it. No flavor. Well, I still had the other beans. They tasted the same. The street tacos were equally as bad. The steak was covered in some kind of seasoning. You couldn’t even tell it was steak. I didn’t even bother tasting the rice. What happened to taco cabana? I loved them when I first came to San Antonio. Don’t eat here the service sucks and the food is worse.

Don’t eat here!!! Staff is rude and curse all the time. Don’t bring your kids. The staff mop and sweep and then make your food without washing their hands. The evening managers just don’t care. Very dirty, should be shut down.

I used to eat at this location all the time when I worked in the area, so I felt good about coming for breakfast this time. What a change a few years can make. First it was early, just after 7 AM. To me, I would think there would be a very clean restaurant at this time, since they have had so few customers to mess it up. WRONG. The counter where the coffee and utensils are was filthy, crumbs, wet drips, empty utensils etc. The Salsa bar wasn’t much better. The salsas looked like they had been left out from the day before, i.e. not full and various portions spilled over into others, not appetizing at all. All I ordered were 2 bean and cheese tacos. These are always consistent with every location. Usually so full there are beans squeezing out every bite. Not here. They were very skimpy with beans, and these are pretty small tortillas to begin with. Are they trying to save money on the cheapest dish they offer? I will think twice before I go to this one again. Hope it was just a bad day, but when I see employees filling the missing items i mentioned and reaching over the ‘filth’ and not cleaning it, I wonder whether the training is up to snuff. What else is filthy we can’t see?

Growing up in San Antonio, Taco Cabana was the place to grab breakfast tacos before all the other places started sprouting up. (Actually, the original place was Sombrero Rosa but I digress.) Since college, I’ve lived out of state and there hasn’t been anything like Taco Cabana. So, coming home for a visit was nice and of course, I had to have my trip to this place.
Breakfast tacos are still delicious! You can’t go wrong with potato and egg or bacon and egg. The barbacoa tacos were ok. You gotta go to the West Side for some awesome barbacoa.
The staff were friendly. The place was clean. The salsa bar was stocked. The restrooms were decent.

Not good.

The previous reviews are old and rare. This location is great. The staff is friendly (courtesies and nice) and seem to enjoy their customers. The salsa bar is clean and so is the drink station. The dining room is also kept up and has a TV showing the local channels. There’s a coziness to the dining area. On the particular day that I went, there was a college student doing a little studying and an older couple enjoying an early lunch together. I’d def check this place out, if in the area.

Maybe I expected way too much after seeing these all over the place. I change my order from a safe beef taco plate to probably the worst beef fajita burrito I ever tried to eat. The meat is tough and grissly and the tortilla is stuffed with all kinds of crap I did not want. With s city full of awesome Mexican food why would you ever eat this.

Salsa salsa salsa taco cabanas salsa and their tortillas are ahhhhhhmazing. The salsa ranch was a very interesting combination… i like any kind of salsa but to throw that variation on it was ingenious. I got the chicken fajita taco meal and was disappointed to open my tacos and find absolutely nothing but chicken in them but to no avail i doused it in salsa and put my own onions and cilantro on it and it was delicious. I did not like the beans or the rice at all the rice was bland and the beans tasted like bbq even the refried ones bleckk so needless to say taco cabana you get only three stars
Oh yeah and the gaucamole was the worst i have ever ever tasted i have no idea what was wrong with it but it was DISGUSTING
