My husband and I dined at this restaurant for the first time to celebrate a special occasion this February. We made a reservation for 7:00 pm in advance, and were seated promptly upon arrival. The service, drinks, and food were all excellent. We were not disappointed and look forward to returning again. FYI: they run an earlybird special with its own menu if you are seated prior to 6:30. We plan on doing that next time.

Went for valentine’s day and the service was outstanding. Had a 4 course meal. The main course(red Snapper with forbidden black rice) was awesome but the rest of the mead l was just ok… 3.5 stars

«„„„update“““»“ Management responded to my review below and apologized for the service received, which supersedes the bad service. Went to the bar to hear the band with two friends tonight and experienced the worst service… Or lack thereof, from the wandering waitress who deliberately ignored us. We sat for three hours and watched her wait on all the other tables but ours. She wouldn’t even make eye contact with us or clear our table of our empty glasses. I’m not one to cry racism but when three minorities are ignored by the blond haired blue eyed waitress for three hours sitting at one of the four tables in the back… Your mind has to go there. It wasn’t until we left did she go clear our table(we saw her through the website). Why did she wait until we left? Why were we denied the service all the other patrons received? I will not return to this bar and plan to call the restaurant tomorrow to complain.

Head Server David led & orchestrated flawless coordination & delivery of fine fish & steaks, along with appetizers & salads — spinach salad was great. Excellent service & food allowed audience to focus on Speaker Mark’s delivery, hosted by Rhodes’s Sean — well done, start to finish.

Food great and service was good for the most part. Wish the server was more down to earth. Had a feeling that I wasn’t good enough to eat there.

I made reservation using Open Table and this was first visit to the restaurant. The service was amazing and food wonderful. We started off with the chicken fried oysters and both my wife and I had one of the specials of the evening which was the surf and turf consisting of a steak and scallops. The steak was cooked over oak fired grill and had that great wood cooked taste. Our server Luke was top notch and was always there if needed and checked on us but not in that every 10 seconds annoying way. My wife had the chocolate soufflé for desert which was rich and delicious. I have nothing but good memories of the meal.

New Years night at this Silos was a wonderful dining experience. It is risky going out to dinner on this night. Expectations are usually attenuated for most restaurants on the night after New Year’s Eve but Silos 1604 did not disappoint. Adam our waiter was knowledgeable and friendly. Starting with the chefs selection of three cheeses surrounded by nuts apricots and honeycomb enhanced by a Palmaz Carbernet it is difficult to envision elevating the cuisine to a higher level. This was accomplished by lobster bisque, ahi tuna and crab cakes appetizers followed by entrees including redfish, salmon and Chilean sea bass. All were prepared perfectly, beautifully presented and came out hot from the kitchen. I want to commend Silo 1604 for a great job on what I consider the most difficult night for any restaurant.

Upscale and quaint environment for large groups as well as just for two! I didn’t have the Spinach salad but I’ll have to enjoy it next time. All the salads and entrees at my table were fresh and plated very nicely. Serving sizes were also more than adequate!

I have eaten at Silo on 1604 four times now and have never had a bad experience. This is my first time Unilocaling this establishment. On previous occasions I have enjoyed The Silo Lunch Prix Fixe Menu which comes with a choice of Salad or Dessert, Entrée, and a glass of Wine. We had a reservation for 3 people at 7:00 pm which I reserved via Open Table. We missed the Prix Fixe by 30 minutes. This is fine dining at its best so expect to get what you pay for. I started with a glass of the Frank Family Pinot Noir and my husband had a glass of Merlot and the caprese salad which was divided between the two of us. I asked for the chef specials and sword fish was on the menu. Question to Joel, our server; «Is the sword fish wild caught?» He stated that it was and that they catch and serve the fish within 72 hours; otherwise, no bueno. I actually loved his answer so much that I decided to try it. The sword fish with crab meat atop was perfectly flavored and accompanied potatoes and green beans that were sautéed with mushrooms and red onion. I am so glad I tried this dish. My husband had the Grilled Atlantic Salmon which was served with risotto, sautéed asparagus and cherry tomatoes. He also had a taste of the Butter Poached Crab, Yummy! I took a forkful of his delight, and yeah I need to get that next time. Priscilla had the Pan Roasted Chicken Breast which was served with garlic mashed potatoes and zucchini, asparagus, spinach and carrots. What a nice presentation; her dish came with a sprig of rosemary on top of the chicken. It was as though the rosemary announced the arrival of her chicken saying, «Look at me!» She said that it tasted as good as it looked. Thank you Joel for making our dinner out a nice one

Very present surprise. Service was excellent and the food was well prepared and arrived on time. Good value for the money. Only downside is the lack of a loyalty program.

Oh well, where to start… We visited Silo last week, for my moms birthday. We chose the restaurant because it is a «high end» restaurant, and it was an important celebration. I have to say though, the food was not bad, but it was just that. Not bad. For the prices the restaurant has I would assume that the food would be phenomenal right? For a 30 dollar plate I expect great, full of flavor dishes. Well, disappointment, I repeat, the dishes were not bad, but that’s it. My mom had the vegetarian plate, a portabella mushroom topped with quinoa, surrounded by cherry tomatoes and grilled asparagus. This plate was even bland. It would be something I would whip up at home for a simple lunch. The cherry tomatoes were not even dressed… I had a fish with a succotash in the bottom. The fish was cooked exceptionally, but the succotash was bland… Bland! Well, you get the point, right? I don’t think I’ll go back, at least not for a long time. I had been there before, and it was much better, maybe they changed the Chef???

Our dining experience at Silo was wonderful. It began with excellent service which continued throughout our meal. They have good cocktail menu; I enjoyed my silo mule(it’s on the tart side). Silo also has a large selection of wines from diverse regions. My meal was scrumptious. I had the salmon which was perfectly cooked and served with delicious whipped potatoes and bok choy. The space is contemporary yet intimate. We were able to have a conversation and could hear one another. I really appreciate lower noise levels. I don’t want to go out with friends to catch up and not hear them! It’s a little pricey, but it’s a high end establishment. And worth every penny!

This is a great restaurant. Went here with the wife to try some steaks at a new place, and we really enjoyed ourselves. Everything was excellent. Attentive service… Dark and intimate ambiance… Impeccable presentation of the establishment, staff, and plates. The food itself was artfully made and extremely tasty. Silo is an overall fantastic upscale dining experience that we’ll definitely do again, hopefully sooner rather than later.

3.5 stars. This place seems a bit out of place in a rather nondescript shopping plaza off 1604, but the restaurant provides an appreciable level of sophistication and, more importantly, solid cuisine for its guests. It was rather interesting to see a menagerie of accompaniments offered for our complimentary waters. I counted at least five different selections mostly consisting of various citrus flavors. It was a pleasant start to the meal. The bread selection is also excellent; I actually regretted that I only ate one roll from the basket. Far more interesting was a healthy plate of chicken fried oysters served atop pasta and an island of wilted spinach. My only real complaint was the portion size; I found myself eating again just an hour after the meal. I’m not sure why so many people complain about service because I didn’t experience anything off kilter in that area. Aside from the odd location and the moderately aggressive pricing structure, it’s worth a look.

Amazing food with a not-so-amazing waiter. I heard about Silo from friends but we don’t live close to one of the restaurants, but it was my wife’s birthday dinner, so we went. Immediately we were impressed with the atmosphere of the bar and restaurant area. Hostess and bar staff were great. Now to the good stuff! I’ll definitely recommend any of the food we had. I had the Five Spiced Duck, great cook and flavor, Mushroom Risotto and the scallops were perfect. My wife had the salmon with orzo rice and she raved about it for days. Only complaint, our waiter wasn’t enhancing the dinning experience. Phillip seemed to rush us in all phases of the night. He wasn’t personable or inviting. We were wondering if was just the way the staff was, listened to other waiters and found ourselves enviously wishing they were ours. Other than that, it was great.

Came here for an anniversary dinner! Excellent service– everybody was really nice and friendly and service was fast. We ordered the crab cake as an appetizer — great flavor. I order the five spice duck and my husband ordered the Shrimp and Grits. The duck was really tender and flavorful. The mashed potatoes were delicious. I was not very impressed with the risotto– it needed more flavor and was a bit mushy. Being from Louisiana, my husband had high hopes for good shrimp and grits. It had good flavor but maybe needed a little more spice. We ordered the soufflé for dessert and that was absolutely amazing. It literally melts in your mouth! Overall a great experience and great food! Would totally recommend this place to anyone!

The bread and butter are sublime. The tenderloin is fantastic. It is perfectly tender and wonderfully presented. I would strongly recommend it. In addition the services is exquisite and everything you would expect at this price point. The cheese cake very different, yet very smooth.

#FANCY i one word to describe this place. As you walk in, you’re welcomed in a very small room, made of stone, intersecting with the wonderful millwork that takes your eyes all the way up to the top floor. The first floor is the very glamorous bar and lounge area. Red is the theme, they had square, plush lounch benches and some bar stools. AS we were directed to the upstairs, we got on this super chic glass elevator. As you walk in, you’re greeted by the hostess to be seated… dark, hardwood floors and glass walls everywhere, but my eye was directed to the open and exposed kitchen. I love it! Seated right in front of the chef’s workstations… i soaked up the excitement. We had the pork shank with mac and cheese and spinach, the duck salad and the shrimp and grits. Served and arranged tantalizingly — i couldn’t wait to devour the dishes. the pork shank was very generous. As it glistens sitting on a bed of creamy mac and cheese… i was hooked on the first tender bite. It had the Texas sweetness of the barbecue. Delicious just filled my mouth, my taste buds were dancing. Tender and juicy, fell right off the bone, with that, i didn’t even have to use my knife to cut. Perfectly cooked! the sweetness of the pork went very well with the creamy and savory flavor of the mac and cheese. the duck salad was also perfectly cooked, i had a taste of it — on a bed of arugula. Delicious and not salty at all — which has been my experience when eating duck at an american restaurant. Perfection with everything that i had at this place. The atmosphere was so classy and relaxed. The staff was attentive and very pleasant throughout the evening. I can’t wait to go back!

It was really good. Went for lunch. Servers are very attentive and on their game. Sort of sterile interior owing to the polished concrete floors and exposed steel framework of the building. No A-1 sauce. Definitely will be back.

My first experience at this restaurant was amazing! I booked a weeknight table on Opentable and they were prepared for him when we arrived. The service was superb and our waiter was very helpful, nice, and had an excellent memory. The meal starts with a citrus sliver in your water. You can chose between lemon, grapefruit, orange, and lime. This special addition was fun! And, they have the most delicious warm bread they offer. It reminded me of the same ones at Paesanos. We ordered the mussels for an appetizer since the ones at Nosh were tasty and flavorful. We were not disappointed! They have a healthy portion size with perfectly cooked mussels. Then, we had the spinach salad which included some fruits and a nice vinaigrette drizzle. It was a perfect balance of leaves, fruit, and dressing. To top it off, a fried cheese was included. It tasted like panko fried Brie. The entrée was the pork shank that our waiter recommended because it was more special than the ribeye. It was a sweet and salty sauce on a seared pork shank. It was amazing in flavor and really delicious. The risotto was slightly spicy with a jalapeño kick. I would definitely return since the prices are reasonable, the taste is excellent, and the portions are perfect. I have enough to take home since we sampled a little of everything. On the other hand, a person seeking the three course prix dinner may also have a delightful try of the dessert. I recommend a seat by the window because it’s bright and comfortable. Although, for a more intimate experience there is a private room and also some booth seating. The place eludes elegance and chic. Dressy smart or after work relaxation is perfect for the place.
