I am saddened by my discovery. I love the soup but I now wonder what was providing the flavor. The last, and final time, I stepped into the place my co-worker stepped on a huge cockroach and there were a few more lying on the floor a couple tables away. We made a hasty retreat and added it to our«Hell no» list; as in «what’s for lunch today — - that place— Hell no»…

Went here on Friday night and it was hopping. You know you’ve come to the right place when the parking lot is packed! We started our meal off with one fish and one shrimp ceviche tostado. Both were good but I definitely enjoyed the fish ceviche more. For dinner my BF ordered the pan fried fish filette which came covered in a shrimp, mushroom and cheese sauce and I got the shrimp rellenos which came stuffed with crab and octopus and was covered with a béchamel sauce. Yum! Both of us cleaned our plates. They also have a variety a flans and empanadas for dessert, just incase you happen to have any room left in your stomach.

Good food, great service, definitely a gem you would never expect. I took my girl here for a Valentine’s Day lunch and we started with fresh oysters that were amazing. We will definitely return to enjoy everything they have to offer.

My husband has been waiting for good albondigas and he thoroughly enjoyed it here. My enchiladas were delicious and the rice and beans were a lot better than your average taqueria rice and beans. We’ll be back!

Just ate there; excellent food, decent price. Service was Ok, but could improve on drink refills. Would recommend to my friends.

The food was okay, nothing special. We ordered shrimp cocktail it was hard to get to all the tiny shrimp and way over seasoned. The place is tiny and the booth was broken so we had to move. The fan overhead was very distracting, felt like we were in a club with strobe lights.

Our first time here trying to use a coupon, but couldn’t use it on the weekend. Decided to eat here anyways and chance it… It was worth it :) !!! Shrimp wrapped in Bacon and the shrimp cerviche on a tostado was worth every penny though there could’ve been at least 3 shrimp but for the price it was still Delish!

We found this gem on Unilocal. We ordered ceviche for an appetizer and it was perfect. Next we ordered the seafood soup and cilantro rice. Both were delicate and authentic. We will be going back while in San Antonio!

No Bueno. Ordered my favorite Mexican dish camarones ala diabla. The shrimp was not cleaned, vegitables looked soggy and smelled funky. The sauce was spot on but looked like the dish was half assed. Either they are cooking it wrong or the food was all pre prepared and not fresh.

I started with a shrimp cocktail which was very good Perfect amount of shrimp and very tasty. Then I had a tostada campechana now let me tell you this is not your normal size tostada, it was stacked with ceviche. Super good I finished the meal with a shrimp on a rellleno style pepper, cheese and there delicious sauce. The place isn’t to big but it is cozy and has a very relaxed atmosphere I will return soon to try some there great dishes.

5-star food at 2-star prices with 1-star ambiance. I’ve driven by this joint hundreds of times, and really never gave it much of a thought because of the external appearance. And to be honest, I was a bit trepidatious when we first went in… The place was clean and tidy, no cleanliness issues. But the furniture is a bit old — and the placement of some of lighting and ceiling fans wasn’t though through very well. As we sat down in a booth and looked over the menu, the ceiling fan blades created a strobe-light effect over the booth. My eyes are too old to handle that sort of thing, so we moved to a nearby table. The food… oh, the food. The food… is…exceptional. It reminded me of 5-star cuisine I had years ago in Pachuca, Mexico. It’s genuine, authentic Mexican — not TexMex. And I love both, by the way. But in a city flooded with TexMex, it’s refreshing to find authentic Mexican, and seafood to boot. Not only was the taste far above what you’d expect from the looks of the place, but the plating/presentation was… delightful. It wasn’t the typical«dump the beans on the left, rice on the right, and toss the enchiladas in the middle there somewhere.» Mind you, I’ve eaten more than my fair share of those kinds of plates — and will continue to do so. But when you find a chef that takes pride in presentation, it just enhances the experience all the more. Just for reference, my wife had the bacon wrapped shrimp, and I had the«three different kinds of enchiladas.» Highly recommend both of those dishes.

Outstanding! Very reasonably priced. Whatever you do make sure you have a shrimp cocktail. Substantial original menu with several interesting dishes. You won’t be disappointed.

After reading the reviews, we decided to try this place. I have to admit I was seriously disappointed. I ordered shrimp al mojo de ajo. It literally looked like shrimp drowning in Alfredo sauce — but it wasn’t good. The veggies that came with were drowning in oil as well. My husband has one of their cocktails and it was nothing to write home about either. The worst part for me was when I asked for a refill and opened up the lid to my drink… There were some sort of flies in there. It was so gross. I’m originally from California so I guess I have a different standard for Mexican food, but either way… This place was not what other reviews made it out to be.

If you can’t yell the difference between 90% of the San Antonio Mexican joints, try this place! Great latin American twist on good seafood! Try the filete diablo relleno, won’t disappoint.

This is got to be one of the best seafood places in San Antonio the Caldo De Mariscos is the best I have ever came out good and hot. Which is rare to get hot soup anywhere. The tostadas and tacos are excellent too! I’ll be coming back for years to come.

All the positive reviews are right – this place is excellent. It’s small but clean and comfortable, and the people who work here are very nice. I tried the excellent camarones a la diabla, which lit me up! I can’t wait to go back and try some of the other menu items – because everything looked and smelled great. Give ‘em a try!

Absolutely incredible. It looks divey but don’t be fooled, this is some of the best seafood in San Antonio(and possibly farther). We tried the mixed ceviche, seafood cocktail, and stuffed redfish in Diablo sauce. All were mindblowingly tasty and(apparently) very authentic, according to my friend. The ceviche in particular was perfection, and the fish was nearly melt-your-face-off spicy but so good! The guy we talked to while we waited was full of suggestions of what to try and was clearly excited about his product, which made us feel great about ordering. The complimentary soup we got while waiting was a nice touch, too. Can’t wait to go back to this surprising gem!

Don’t let the exterior fool you. This place is the real deal Mexican-Seafood in San Antonio. The shrimp soup is great! Prices are reasonable, will be returning for sure!
