Amazing shrimp, very clan, great atmosphere. I would suggest rolls of paper towels for the tables, the little napkins don’t cut it.

I realize that Mexican food here is nothing like Mexican food in Arizona or California but even knowing that I wasn’t too impressed with this place. The prices are kind of high for the quality of the food you receive and the people taking your order are not very helpful.

What they call Mexican food in Texas is not like California … This spot tho has made me satisfied… Beef enchiladas are bombiliocious and the rice looks like fried rice but tastes good with beans. The asada taco was ok, we have better tacos in Los Angeles but other than that I’m happy I found a good place with good Mexican food that won’t make me sick or homesick. The horchata… Bomb.

The girl at the register was extremely rude. I did not know what I wanted and she was mad about that. You order at the front and they call your number. I order the enchilada plate. The food is ok nothing special, but its cheap. The margaritas are from a machine, but good.

First time trying this place out. The breakfast tacos weren’t anything write home about.

Everytime I walk in this place I have a smile on my face I love their food and especially their fajitas they are always delicious and they serve you a good amount the prices are very good and competitive I will be back here many many many times I just hope they don’t change the décor of the restaurant at the Culebra restaurant to look like the one at wurzBach and I 10. The one on I 10 looks too sterile I like the other one with better atmosphere

Mama Margie’s – I wasn’t sure what to expect. It’s been described as «the Denny’s of Mexican Food» and I can see that. I came here after a long, hard day at work, around midnight with a coworker and my husband. I got the beef quesadilla and a side of queso and chips. While my quesadilla was… eghh, my chips and queso were VERY good. I definitely loved that the chips were self serve and while I ordered the small queso – I definitely had enough to share with everyone. While I agree that the food was affordable, I didn’t see any difference in price in here and the normal mexican/tex mex restaurant. I wouldn’t make a special trip to Mama Margie’s, but when starving after work at midnight, it’ll be a good option.

This is the spot everyone goes to when they’re too drunk to care what they put in their bodies at 2am. I couldn’t tell you how my chicken nachos were, but my friend said their burrito was on point. They really need to have more people working to accommodate the influx of people at this time. Having only one person on register when there’s(literally) a line out the door and around the building is just not acceptable, especially when this is a known busy time for this restaurant.

Food is ok. Not authentic Mexican. This is tex-mex, cashier is not very friendly and needs to speak loud. Also, after paying while waiting for food; cashier was picking her nose and walking around in the kitchen. We talked to a supervisor and he told us she was also a supervisor? Beware of cleanliness, I will not go again only because I can’t stand the fact that a manager picks her nose while on the the job at a restaurant. This is nasty

This is my favorite place for fast Mexican food. Everything is prepared fresh and tastes great. Chips n salsa are yummy too. They have other items you can order that are not on the regular menu if you eat inside. Once I came in super early to get tacos. I saw them roasting tomatoes for their salsa and juicing oranges for their orange juice. You can tell that they actually make their food and not just heat up stuff.

I love coming to this place at any time of the day. The food is delicious and very affordable. This place is great for coming any time of the day I believe it’s open 24 hours. They have lunch special for ever day of the week, and they are all extremely delicious. They also have karaōke nights either on Wednesdays or Thursday’s, and the drinks are usually pretty cheap, they have a a selection of beers and also some margaritas. Everything is very affordable here, it’s usually crowded and is a loud environment but it’s still a great place to come and enjoy some delicious Tex-mex entrees

My friends and I found a condom in the bathroom after an employee leaves the same stall without washing his hands. However, margaritas are on point. Bön appetite! 5 stars!

I came to Mama Margies this evening and it was great. I ordered the chicken fajita plate and my mom ordered the chicken quesadilla plate and it is massive. The chicken fajita plate came with four tortillas and lots of guacamole and tomatoes. I loved the taste of the guacamole and the amount they put, other restaurants don’t put a lot. Beans tasted good but the rice didn’t have no taste. I love the chips and salsa ranchera it’s the best part of your dining experience. The quesadilla barely had any chicken but a whole lot of queso blanco. What I also discovered is the restaurant has wi-fi! Which is another plus because why not have wi-fi? It keeps the customers coming. Staff is great. Free refills on drinks oh and the strawberry margarita is yummy!

Cheap food, and they definitely give you bang for buck. But you get what you pay for, I don’t think the food is really all that great Good after a night of drinking though!

Mama margies = authentic Mexican food Great atmosphere, awesome service, attentive management, and delicious food. I remember speaking to the manager(Jose Luis) and mentioning how great it was he was out with the employees and customers and making sure everything was taken care of and helping were needed. I’ll definitely be coming back!

You can’t beat the value of this place! Some of the other reviewers are a little harsh about this place but for a restaurant where everything is under $ 10 you shouldn’t expect 5-star elegance and lavish customer service. You get what you pay for. Free chips like every legit mexican restaurant should have which is awesome. Tvs everywhere to watch the local game. Karaōke on Tuesday nights from what I hear. Overall a great place to bring family and eat good food for cheap on a moment’s notice!

Love the free chips ! Lol Karaōke nights are always entertaining. Some of the cops in their at night are dicks for absolutely no reason. I like their margaritas and their fajitas. Thier fresh juice its way over priced. The outside area is nice. Does get packed during high school football season after games.
